OCC: The Grey and Black Wars

Hi :D

*waves*

Don't forget about Dahlia :)

Oh--this will probably be my last night here for a few days. Gotta take time away from ORP to do some writey stuff--will miss you lots :rose:

suppose so, but brawls are also completely unpredictable, even someone with training would have their bearings shaken.

and i don't honestly subscribe to the "elves are better at EVERYTHING than anyone else" thought lol their just people like the rest of us, they have their pro's and their cons.

generally i dont either, but i was told, i belive, that these were like inheritance trilogy elves, who were superior to humans in pursuits both physical and magical. but i know where your coming from, im more of a dwarf fan myself, this is the first time ive ever rped as an elf.

oh yeah? i love dwarves, because their flawed. i think that's what makes great charecters and races, not how many awesome parts there are to them, but how many quirks and weird things and well... flaws they have that make them stange and interesting. no matter who you subscribe to Dwarves are said to be on the general side drunks lol lots of booze, have a HUGE lust for gems, kinda battle crazy sometimes to the boint of stupidity, i love it.

my problem with the classical rendition of elves, or most people's portrayal of them, is that their faster, stronger smarter, quicker, have more finesse, more refined, there's absolutely no con to them. i used to play alot of elven stuff, untill i began to realize that if there are no downsides to them, they get kinda boring, well to me anyways.

but if you're relying on the asssin part, and outside information on this game that shapes elves, then i have no problem. it's all good bro.

but still..... 13 vs 1? and i don't really cound the girl as a combatant, did she stab someone? it would be far more believable if it was 13 vs 1, you win, but you get a nasty slash down the forearm or something for your troubles. maybe it's just me.

carry on good sir.

I don't know, I like being perfect. lol. I noticed the unrealistic odds aswell, I rationalized it by thinking of it this way: We are both assassins and both friends (Though only he is a registered assassin.). He learned from the best and when he surpassed them, I learned from he.
This is best among elves, understand. As I see we are the only ones playing them, I gather they are a dwindling race. Once proud, and with good reason at that, the remaining elves fell into consort with humans, and did not do as well as Tirinath here. When I say best, I am not boasting we are better than any of you, although I can't speak for Rengade... Actually yeah, I think that Rengade is better than all of you... (jk)
Me, I'm too stubborn. One hundred percent old-fashioned elf.
...Or my take on it anyway...

Hello all. I'm not part of this ORP, and I have no interest in joining, but I have been watching it. I have noted one thing, mostly about Kirano_kun. Dude, you're an amateur. You do a lot of what is known as "god-moding", where you play another person's character. You don't do that in RP. It is a big no. Let the other player be their character, you be yours. Don't speak for the other person's character just because you have something in mind and that's how you want it. The other player may have something entirely different in mind, and that is what makes ORP so interesting. The only time you god-mod for another player is when you have their permission and have discussed the plan of action. All other times, let the player decide what his/her character does.

Don't god-mod and the game can be very interesting.

Sorry, I guess I do do that. Thank's for the advice. It's definetly true that I am an amateur though. I'll watch for that.

lol... Thank you for getting that Blaster... I'm not usually so nice about it... Anyway... Ren did Tove stay the night or not?

I assumed she did, i know thats overstepping my bounds, but the story got moved too fast for me to see another way, i tried to leave it open with my first post today where i had Tirinath turn around to see if she was their or not.

lol I know but then all hell broke loose... so we'll say she did! I don't know what happened but yeah.. she stayed over with two elves... lucky girl...

dont worry love, Tirinath is a fine gentleelf, and K'ahl doesnt like humans, so would not attempt to copulate with one. Tirinath has a taste for human women.

lol I know I was just kidding...

Again, very sorry. I am new here so I'm not trying to do this wrong. Next time tell me sooner, okay?
(not that you should have to but I'm not that bright. lol)

Don't worry I plan to beat you with my switch if it happens again *beautiful smile*

That sounds fair. I'll see that it doesn't. But if a similar issue comes up and I'm rping in a way that offends someone, please tell me right away.

due to the direction the thread has gone alongwith my character sheet being very ambiguous i am reposting my character sheet with alterations.

name: Tirinath Ta'Aladrin

race: Dragon Elf (kind of a bigger, stronger, tougher kind of elf, but with very little magical ability)

age:325

height: 5'10"

weight: 180

job: assasin

weapons: one long, finely crafted elven scimitar, a shorter heavier warblade. assorted daggers and knives. assorted throwing stars. one crossbow, enchanted to allow for sniper-like scope. assorted poisons on his belt.

appearance: tied back black hair and several rings in his left ear. usually wears fine black trousers and black poet's shirt with high black leather boots when not on a mission.

personality: Tirinath is one of, if not the most, powerful warriors among the Dragon Elves (and thus by extension elves in general) Unlike many Elves, he has great respect for humans, finding the amount of things they do in their considerably shorter lives to be amazing. He also has a taste for human women, which is almost unheard of among elves. Hes considered a bit of a rake by other members of the guild, but his ability is beyond question. Maintains a well appointed home in the city. Has a taste for pipe tobacco and good liquor. Was at one point K'ahl's instructor. His history is uncertain, although his incredible prowess (along with the large antique and heavly locked Armoire in his drawing room) points to something truly special. Is well connected throughout the city, and is viewed suspiciously by his guild brethren because of it.
