OK America...

lol

Thanks PC :D

Two of the greatest musicians ever, Eric Clapton and Jools Holland, are English

:p

You guys do kick our ass in the rock and roll department, at least where the classic bands of the sixties and seventies are concerned...gotta give ya that.

BTW, I've seen Jool's show on BBC America..like it alot, but don't know much else about him. What band(s) was he in? 'Scuse my ignorance, just don't know his background.

Oh, and by the way, the palace guards wear silly hats.

:p

All my comments on this thread have been in jest, except for the ones concerning Rock&Roll.

I love the English knig-gets...I really do.

After all, they invented Monty Python.

I just wish they sometimes weren't so snobby about their politics. After all is said and done these English liberals might end up with Mr. Hague.

Stranger things have happened...even in America.

Fortunately p_p_man is pointing out with all good humility that English politics are as humorous as American politics with the starting post.

Jolly good!

:D

LA has nothing on Y'ALL in the silicone wars.

back to the English Kniggets:

We have sunshine most of the time. hehe.

one of the greatest musicians and probably the greatest guitarist ever is American, though we really thank you Brits for getting him started! :D

he's so great that if one even says his first name only, pretty much everybody instantly knows who you're talking about..

he's so great that somebody here uses the title of one of his songs for their name!

who amd i talking about?

the one
the only
Jimmi
Hendrix

I was kidding about the fake boobies.

I hated Dallas.

hated the flatness
hated the traffic
hated the the general attitude
hated the humidity
hated everything

Most of the people I met one on one were nice though.

Overall though, still hated it.

I can only add,

It's not that Americans are inhertly bad
It's not being British that makes them so sad.

As a Canadian...

I suddenly feel like singing "Torn between two lovers....";)

As a DFW girl, I have to say I love my part of my Texas. It is getting awfully crowded, though. Several of our small communities are among the fastest growing in the country. It is hot, humid, though not as bad as Houston, & the traffic can be horrible, but I wouldn't live anywhere else.

Once in truth....1812 was pretty much a war of American aggression that got fought to a draw.

During which the Brits (and a tanked up gang of militia from Halifax) burned down the WhiteHouse.... regardless of your political affiliation how can you hate any country who had the great good sense to do that????;)

Did the Yanks ever get to torch 10 Downing or the Houses of Parliament?

I wanna play the needling interlocuter;)

We got...

Concorde (with the French but we won't worry about them at the moment).
