I haven’t read the books. I started, but I haven’t read them all. I have my reasons, but first I have a couple of questions.

Do the books tell us what is going to happen in season 8?

What is the relationship between Daenerys and Jon? Is she really his Aunty? Just making sure I have this right.

Jon is Lyanna and Rhaegars’ boy, right? Do you think he and Dany are going to be grossed out and split up when they find out who Jon really is? Because incest? What if she gets pregnant?

Also, I still don’t understand apostrophes so my bad if the above is fucked up.

Do you think Cersei is going to die?

Tormund? Haha! Lovable brute. Most of the characters are interesting in some way or another for different reasons. Even Cersei, the unbearable cunt. I have a funny feeling she is going to cop it worst of all. I think Jaime is going to die and she is going to go mad. Completely insane. She’ll have nothing left to lose if he goes.

In animal breeding, a one time mating of this magnitude has minimal influence unless there is a lethal recessive. All inbreeding does is increase homozygosity. It reduces variation. This can be very good...or very bad. If there has been past inbreeding, the detrimental genes have likely been purged. Most likely, any baby would be stunningly beautiful.

I read the first two books before HBO's GoT.

It's hardcore fiction. George Martin was not afraid to kill off his best written characters. Most authors can't, or won't ($$$), do that.

No, I stopped watching years ago. All the old guys looked the same, I could never keep them apart. I’d rather talk about what you’ve been up to.

got all the got's and the new one which is kind of a history in-fill with story lines, a whole lot more dragons, and plenty of blood, fire, and incestuous power couples.

really looking forward to the end of the series - has the book even been written or will it be a made-for-tv scripted thing? with the discrepancies already existing between books and show, it's a twisty puzzle.

i still would love to see tyrion ride a dragon, bless him.

What do you mean by this sort of thing? The show? It's only the most popular drama on TV.

To give you some idea, before Netflix and Stan and Amazon came to Australia, most people would illegally download GoT. Myself included. The only way you could watch the show legally was on Foxtel, and those bastards were charging an arm an a leg for it. Something ridiculous like $80-$100 per month. Fucking robbery. Greedy bastards. Ain't nobody have time for that, so it became the most illegally downloaded show of all time in Australia. Which forced Foxtels hand and they dropped their prices. It was great. So now I have Foxtel for $39/month til Season 8 ends, and I'll have it cut off again.

I read somewhere that Martin was offered a cameo but declined because that meant travel, and apparently he is busy writing the next book. Far more important.

I've been up to a lot, but not enough. Its true what they say - mo money, mo problems.

I took my girls away on holiday a few weeks back. Up the coast. Crystal clear waters and white sandy beaches. Stunning. Very hot. Got a tan and swam all day. Spa, sauna, food, cuddles.

Mostly, I work. We're always busy but lately it's just been insane. The pay is great but I get tired. We all do. I encourage people to have time off. Lots of fruit and veg and water and sleep.

What's new is that I think of my daughter more often than what I used to. She's going to be 16 this year, so she'll be getting her license. A car. I think that's why she's been on my mind a lot more. She's growing up! I get sad sometimes and I don't know why. I could go on forever but I won't. She's smart and kind and funny.

I dropped my brand new phone. FFS. Yesterday. Huawei. Lucky my daughter had the foresight to order mum some cases and a protectors because I'm not very good with phones. I told them I didn't need insurance. Lol

Well so far I have found the first 2 episodes of season 8 to be totally shit.

I now hope that the night king ends up winning the war and sitting on the iron throne at the end of it all.

Happy Battle of Winterfell Day!

Since the last episode dealt with Ser Brianne Of Tarth acheiving her lifelong goal of knighthood, show history suggests she's going to die a glorious death tonight.

....but since this series never does the expected, I'm going to go out on a limb and predict Sansa Stark gets killed.

Here's your RobDownSouth major surprise twist prediction: The kids of Winterfell are hidden deep in the Winterfell crypts amongst all the dead Starks. I'm going to predict that a White Walker enters the crypt, reanimates all the dead Starks, and we see Sean Fucking Bean's Eddard Stark (not seen since season 1) reanimated as a blue-eyed zombie about to kill all the children. Arya steps in front of him, and we fade to black.

(Remember, one of last week's expository scenes took place in front of Ned Stark's crypt, reminding us he was interred there, buried not burned so eligible for re-animation).
