Old School Musicianship… Rock and Roll.. Jazz… Blues… Big Band even…

Heard this song when I was dating my first love. (Wonder what ever happened to him.)

It's been A Long Tine by The Elgins

A lot of groups sang this song.

Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy - 1941
Song by The Andrews Sisters
When I was a kid, my older sister and I took piano lessons, and she used to play The Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy very well. And at some point, she played it faster, which was really funny to me. And for a while, she would play it fast (to make me laugh) or play it fast and an octave higher so it sounded like a record player on a higher speed.

One of my favorite memories of my sister (who is still alive, but we don't talk anymore and haven't for years).

I don't want to get personal but why don't you talk with her? Life is short babe.

I'm completely alienated from all of my family, and clearly there are a huge number of reasons. I don't wish them any ill will, but I can't be around them and never will again. I very much doubt they have a high opinion of me anyway.

I needed a hit of Skunk Baxter absolutely ripping the stuffing out of a guitar solo... so cool!!!

Steely Dan - My Old School

Love the song and the man!! He was so fun. (She was digging me.)
Clap For the Wolfman
Finally got it right.

Another great instrumental
Topsy pt. 2 by Cozy Cole

Wolfman Jack! His radio show was so funny and so damn good back then. There was also a guy named Hound dog who had a show at midnight in my town. He used to say: " White Tango Wine is so good if you're not old enough to buy it yourself, get someone to buy it for you. These days he would have been banned.

Staying in the same area of songs here's another one I miss hearing. I love the hair and the outfits!!
Work Together by Caned Heat!

And here's the mystery girl!

I'm not really much of a Talking Heads fan... but I do love this song. It's like a slow burn or something... just cool.

Talking Heads - Take Me to the River

I was introduced to this song for playing it in a band... and I dig it. Cool!
