I don't know if i count as an older man (45y/o) but had a few "meetings" in the past 5 years that i teach, with some of the young female students here at the university. No love and kisses, just straight up sex .... Maybe they use me to pass my course??? who knows?? i had lot's of fun!!!

That's not alright. I had age gaps in the past, up to 28 years but never with a teacher or professor.

As someone caring for a young person myself and being in contact through university with young undergrads, I can only say to you: it's an immense power imbalance and youngsters do not know what they want, even if they flirt with you.

Please reconsider.

Of course the young undergrads don't know what they want but believe me there are some being very provocative and really understand the power they have under their skirt.

You have sex with your own master students, whose thesis you advise and your PhD students? Or are we just talking about being in the same department?

Easy there Liberia, i am not abusing my power over them!!! Of course not my own this could easy get me in trouble and it's power abuse!!! and i do not do this on regular basis. Just students from other departments that come and hang out in my department or i met in congresses.

How does that work at your university?
We don't really do that. We have credits that you need to get to be allowed to take the exam. This can be done by those of us, who already have a masters degree. Then there is the final exam. Usually we don't talk students, only especially bright ones and those are the ones getting a job in the department anyway.

I’m not even going to explain to you why raping your students is bad. That is vile. Truly nasty.

Well you clearly seem to admit that you did have power over them, which of course you did! So on any level it’s not something to brag about at all, pretty awful and you need to look at yourself! However, I suspect you are well beyond that!
