Older Men 🔥 & Young Women 🌺: Leave a trace.

I wasn't denigrating what you wrote and I'm sorry if you thought I might have been. I was just adding my thoughts to my own friends and feelings.

I do agree with you on all counts. We all know our own ideas on what we like and from other points you've made I think we are somewhat similar in our likes and dislikes.

Again, please accept my apology.

We’re cool. And we seem to like similar things 😊

When I first moved here I was expecting my school to reopen soon, didn't;t happen. I'd run or bike every day to stay in shape and cure the boredom. I'd pass a bunch of old guys sitting on a bench on the town common, their lot in old age was staring at female tourists and making rude comments about the gals passing by. one made a comment about me that I heard and I turned around to give him some crap but one of the others had already started to chastise the rude one.

Frank was the good guy and I later found out the oldest of the group and sort of the head honcho. He was holding an old book and with my fascination about books he and I chatted. It quickly became a daily thing to stop and chat and have coffee with Frank, we also each had a thing about Boston Creme Donuts.

He was an avid collector of the printed word, he has thousands in his collection. After seeing it all I knew he was a fine man and we started to go to antique book stores and browse a few days a week, I have a car and he doesn't I sort of became the local Uber driver for several of them who should never be behind a steering wheel for appointments and shopping< no money accepted other than gas regardless of the time spent shuttling them around.

Indeed. Mine was a neighbour who I’d pop in to see for a chat
Not sure how it is with elders where you live but here in the States so many are almost abandoned and forgotten, it's a shame. I try and spend a few hours on my days off to visit the elder care facilities in town to chat and read to some of them, sort of my way of saying thanks for their lives and to maybe pay it forward, we all will age we're lucky enough to.

You've got a good heart.

Mine was ok. Still fit, healthy and independent. He has friends and family, but he’d had a rough year
