On the run (Closed)

He looked up from the couch. "Is everything okay Jaidyn? You seem rather anxious. Tell me what is the matter."

He had not seen her this hyper since they had met. He thought that maybe something had happened to make her like this. He hoped that she would open up to him and let him know what was wrong.

I... I thought I saw his brothers truck today.

She paused and looked over at him biting her lip.

He got up and walked over and stood right in front of her. Looking down at her he said, "I am sure there are a lot of trucks like that. Your car has not been out of the barn in quite a while.. There is no way they know you are here."

He took her in his arms and hugged her. Pulling her close to him, as he wrapped his arms tightly around her. If it was him it was just a coincidence..... just passing through while looking for you. I will protect you. Just relax."

I guess so...

There was no thought she just curled into his arms and tried to calm down her eyes closed letting him hold her and taking cam and comfort in the embrace as her arms hugged him as well

He began to caress her back softly...slowly. She felt real good in his arms. He thought that he could get used to having her wrapped close to his body. Her body felt so good close to him.

"You will be just fine," he whispered to her. "Nothing is going to happen to you that you don't want to happen."

She just nodded and stayed there curled against him. She was sure he was right that if it was him that he was just passing through and would be long gone before she had to go to her breakfast shift at the diner. Lifting her head up she looked at him unsure if she should pull away or just stay there. She had to admit it had been nice being so close to someone attractive and who she had seen watching her several times.

I hope so

She whispered with a smile.

"I am going to take your shift tomorrow....just to be safe. If it was him just passing through hen the last thing we need is you being seen there. I will work both shifts tomorrow. You can have the money from your shift."

He couldn't help himself. Me hen she looked up at him he kissed her lips. He wasn't sure that it was the right thing to do, but having such an attractive woman in his arms made him do it.

She pressed into the kiss with a soft whimper instinct making her tense a little till it registered this was not some rough near assault kiss. As the kiss broke there was fear and trust struggling in her eyes as she spoke

Are you sure? I... I... I could have been wrong like you said. I really have to stop being so scared of what could happen and get on with my life and happiness

He looked deeply into her eyes."yes, I am sure. If you were mistaken, there is no problem. If you really did see him then you are not exposed to the chance hat he shows up there. I insist that you stay here." He brushed his lips over hers as he continued to hold her close to him.

She just smiled staring into his eyes. She was really too scared to risk going but now she didn't have to go so she could hide here for now but she did not want to spend her whole life hiding.

Okay... this time.

Her fear got the better of her for a moment as she put a little distance between the tow of them biting her lip watching him.

He felt her step back and he let her go. He did not want her to feel trapped. After all, that was what she was fleeing. He stepped back from her. " I have your shift tomorrow. I am going to go to bed. Since I have to get up early. Sleep well, Jaidyn. If you need anything let me know."

She nodded then moved closer to him offering a faint kiss to his cheek before heading to her room. She was not sure what to make of the affection shared between them tonight and wondered if something was happening or if it was just a comfort thing that just happened. She was scared and not used to that kind of tenderness but she liked it.

He returned her kiss and then watched as she walked to her room. He then headed into his room. He got ready for bed, undressed and climbed into he bed. He set the alarm on his phone and laid down. He wondered if he should pursue his feelings toward Jaidyn, or if he should just let them go, because of what she had already been through.

She fell into a deep sleep but morning seemed to arrive way too soon. A soft and peaceful dream of what could be now that she was free. Morning had stolen that but she was waking to the reality that could be there with them.

He had a restless might sleep. Jaidyn was always there. Some of his thoughts of her were very protective..... almost like they were siblings. Other thoughts of her were much more erotic.... Very sexual..... Very intense.

He was u p as soon as his alarm went off. He headed out to the cafe and explained that Jaidyn wasn't feeling well and he was going to take her shift. The day was petty uneventful until a guy walked into the cafe and started showing a picture around to the customers....including the bikers who were there. When the guy brought the picture to the counter he just shook his head.....he was looking at a picture of Jaidyn.

The bikers after seeing the picture seemed to mill about the cafe more walking all the way to the bar for their drinks and in their own way trying to scare the drunk off and keep an eye out if Jaidyn happened to arrive. They over heard the guys talk about getting the car back and teaching a lesson.

He heard them talking about the car and reaching her a lesson. He was very happy that he made Jaidyn stay at the house today. He was also happy that he had made her hide the car in the barn. If the stupid ass bikers kept their mouths shut everything would be okay. He listened closely to what was being said. He heard the guy talking to a couple of bikers. He wasn't sure what was said.

The bikers were just as protective of the two "kids" as they viewed Jaidyn and Mark. The ones they were talking to were slipping back into their old jobs from the soldier days and recon info collecting. One of them tossed him some money and with a veiled nod to Mark said.

The boys and I will get over there and work on that porch rail for a while before Agnes has another fit about it. You have everything locked up right? I have Agnes spare key if I need it.

He did not trust the bikers, but he did not want to say anything that would make the two guys suspicious. He nodded back at the biker, and put his money in the cash register. When he bikers left the place was empty. The two guys hunting for Jaidyn looked around and walked out. They got into a car, and headed off..... in he same direction as the bikers. Mark had an uneasy feeling. He told Agnes he had to go.

Agnes looked over nodding.

Those bikers are my boys they have been watching over the two of you they won't tell them anything. If anything this is those two idiots going to see if they can recruit my boys.

He followed them at a distance. He didn't want to take any chances that they would see him and become suspicious. He was pretty sure that Jaidyn would go to the hiding place when she saw the bikers coming. He watched the bikers turn into the driveway, and then the two guys follow them. He pulled over on the side of the road and watched what they did.

We told you we had to fix up this old house for the old lady's boy to live in. We ever see that girl around here though we will let ya know. We would advise you to get out of town soon. Old lady there at the cafe don't really care for "hunters" of any kind and if she gets a bad feeling about you two she will go to the boss man and we will end up hunting you two. Friendly warning.

After that the two of them went about fixing the railing as if they did not think the other two guys were worth any more of their time.

You been warned... now get out of here.

Jaidyn didn't fear the bikers she knew that they had been watching over them for Agnes as she peeked out the window after hearing them talking. Seeing who they were talking to she sank to the floor holding the curtains so they should not move to reveal anyone had been looking out. Sitting there she was scared to death that he was there and that she had apparently been right thinking she saw his brother's truck. She wanted Mark home but was even more glad he had taken her shift.

Mark watched from a distance. He could see the two guys talking to one of the bikers while the others worked on the deck rail. He was really worried about Jaidyn. He was really starting to care for her, and he didn't want anything to happen to her.

After a few minutes he saw the two men get in their car and drive out of the driveway. They went in the opposite direction. Mark waited until they were out of sight, and drove up to the house. He got out of the car and thanked the bikers. He went inside to check on Jaidyn. He hugged her and held her for a minute. "Stay here. I. Have to do something for the boys outside. I will be right back."

He went to the refrigerator and took a few beers outside to the bikers. Once again he thanked them. He told them he would be out in a second. Then he went back inside and grabbed a hold of Jaidyn again....holding her close to him.

She was sitting there balled up holding the bottom edge of the curtain. Her arms moved to snap around him hugging him close to her. Hearing his words she nods letting him go for a moment. Once he was back outside she finally stood up and moved from the window and hugging him tight when he walked back in.

I want to thank them too. They watch over us and now they really know who to look for at least for one of us.

"Don't go out there. Stay inside. They can come inside when they are finished and you can thank them. You don't know if they are really gone. They might be watching from somewhere. You will need to stay inside for a couple of days."

He held her close and reassured her that things were going to be okay. He was really going to have to check things out before either one of them left the house in the future.
