Amal Arrives at the Slave Market Oasis
Amal, the Red-haired Beduin
A cloud of dust on the horizon grew larger as the figure in flowing desert robes appeared through the shimmering heat ...
Reining in his horse at the well, he let it drink from the pool as he unwrapped his headclothes and knelt, drinking and swabbing his dusty face. A full six feet tall, slender, yet muscular and fairer than the natives, his eyes were blue and his hair red, speaking of a mother taken as a slave in a raiding party upon a Scottish ship travelling through the sea lanes of the Moorish pirates.
He found and presented himself to the Emir respectfully, kneeling and offering a jewelled dagger wrapped in 10 yards of finest silk as an gift.
"Milord, I come in peace, with gold to buy a slave for my hearth and tent. I am new in this district, yet a man of some wealth and experience. Can you guide me in a purchase, if it pleases you to do so?"

Milord Emir, let me suggest that as the senior Lord, you open an new thread, perhaps titled "Auction of Female Slaves" that is an in-character thread, indicating the setting and advising that the major parts have all been cast, then make a declaration that the auction will commence with the display of the merchandise.
Alternatively, the leading slave girl may open the setting by describing where she finds herself, letting the auction unfold from the slave's perspective.
Either way, Amal will be appraising the goods to add to his stable, and will be joining the lords in the feast as they taste and share the first fruits of their purchases.
(Bowing to the Emir and jingling bags of gold tied around his waist below the robes)

I honestly don't think there IS an IC thread up yet.
And we've been waiting so long - but I think if we DON'T start soon, with or without aforementioned missing characters, we're going to lose any interest we originally had.

I have edited the original seed, and see that already you have cast a hungry slave into the market, sold by her own and her own family's need ... we shall see if she can win a soft place for herself through dealing with hard ... times ...
