Guess I wasn't being very creative when I made up the character. I just stuck my own hgt and wgt in there. It was late (early?) last night.

Alice can be the friend, or girlfriend of one of the Altered Ones from before the change and has tracked them down to their current habitation via her reporting skills. She transphers to the local college and struggles to re-unite with the him and there is a lot of room for a human side to the super-hero angle between her interaction with various Altered, but esp the boyfriend/friend.
Alice has a few skills that make her job easier such as some lock picking skills, photography, speaks Spanish and ASL.

Polite, two things you forgot a name. next I vonlenter Rydia to be her ex-lover, coarse the lesbien thing might bug you, but as far as I'm concerned why the hell not. (I'm trying to make Rydia more unique then most of my Chara's, so this fits in well for me.) Let me know what you think then we can work out details.
I will not be back until tomorow night, so I'm going to try and leave rydia out of the plot till then, no need to hold any one back.

Cats, I like the sister angle....LOTS of conflict and room for personal growth/introspection as well as plot twists.
It prob would generally NOT be a good idea for a reporter to be looking for someone in the Queen of Crime's inner circle...Esp one as vaulable as her "pet".
On the other hand being a reporter gives one SOME protection. "She was looking into..." "She was going to.." and notes. Getting rid of reporters is almost as damageing as having them poking around, because then, instead of one you have dozens wonder what she was on to.
And then Alice could have photos of them as children to back up her claims, etc, but having a hard time finding Rydia (since she changed her name after getting kicked out?) so she turns to the Detective for aid and he can hook her up with some of the other altered...
