Think you could let me know when we come to the big intersection, so I can think reaaaaaaally hard before replying?

Take measurements on my box now fellas, if there is enough left to put in that box by the time I finally expire and go to greet the Keeper.

You might get your chance to greet him even if you live, man, don't forget, Panis intends to breach the veil. If you all fail to get the Talisman before him, the Keeper will be in the world with you. Hope you ate your wheaties today, you're gonna need it to battle that bad boy...

What, you don't want to think about facing off against the Keeper? Don't worry, that's only a possibility.
But hey, look at it this way...
Panis Rahl intends to breach the veil, allowing the Keeper into the world. He then intends to challenge him for control of both the world of the living and the world of the dead.
He is reasonably confident of victory, or he would never attempt it, which puts his power, at that point, fairly close to that of the Keeper.
And you will DEFINATELY be going up against Panis.
Get the idea?

Yep, I get it.

Good 'ole Panis will be changing his last name from Rahl, to Keeper :D

Gotta love that guy...

Yep, maybe.
Regardless, you guys are going up against a god-level enemy at some point. Whther its Panis or the Keeper depends on how you play the game...

OOC: Just to let you know, I'm estatic about a SoT thread. I am in the process of reading the third novel (Blood of the Fold) and I love the series. Here's my resume; tell me what you think.

Name: Elkire Sirynn
Age: 23
Homeland: Southwest Midlands
Height: 6'1"
Build: Thin, but muscular
Hair: Dark brown, medium cut
Eyes: Light blue
Weapon(s): Short sword; dagger; longbow
Info: Formerly one of the Mud People, Elkire has left the village on a special quest. He can't quite explain it, but he knows he must go. At his introduction into the story, Elkire has traveled east to the foothills near the Kern river.
Appearance: His outfit is as follows - Leather tunic; cloth pants; soft-soled boots; straw cloak; metal bracer on left arm; leather gloves; silver/emerald amulet (more info if asked about)
Personality: Quiet and somewhat withdrawn, Darion is always aware and in a perpetual state of readiness. He is a seeker of truth (not THE Seeker, mind you), and has an air of confidence about him.

I think that's a good, basic resume for now. If you'd like more info, just ask.

*psst! I give you a bit of 10 step poison if you let me in* (heh)

It would be difficult to work you into the story, due to the prophetic and destined nature of the characters, but I've admired some of your writing in other threads and I'll find a way to get you in if you're still interested.
If you are, or if you have any questions, PM me. I'll get back to you fairly quickly.

What in the name of the Creator!?

What the freak was that? First, he rides away, angry about what? And he's the one all for staying there! If my character, wants to go off, alone, why does he have to leave?

And he takes down three Quads members, and a Mord-Sith in the EYE, without seeing them, in the brush in the direction they were going in when they were being followed!?!?

If the rest of this thread is goping to be filled with people who think they're friggin' God and can do anything without any logic behind it or a single law of physics, count me out.

I don't role-play if there's no reality. That's for idiots.

I agree

First of all, have you read the Sword of Truth series Paendragon? Because if you have, you need to learn a thing or two about roleplaying. I understand the desire to make your character god-like, but if everyone did that, then you could just say you shot Panis in the spine from 200 miles, and then defeated the Keeper and abolished the underworld. It has to stay reasonable.
If you haven't read the series, then you should know a few things about quads and Mord Sith. First of all, think the most elite of the Navy SEALs, then make that bigger, more muscular, and trained in close range combat. The Mord Sith are the ultimate in dominatrixes, enjoying the pain of others, and expert in capturing victims. Finally, the D'Haran forces are better trained than any army in the modern world, excluding maybe the US, but that's a maybe. They specialize in little known tactics and use their brute strength to overpower their weakened and confused enemies. The only better strategists of stealth combat are the mud people, but they are far less numerous and are not trained as well in head to head combat.
The point is, if you can't learn to deal with others character flaws, and let your character have weaknesses, then you shouldn't spoil others' fun in the thread.

Own business

My problem with the thread was kept private, sent with PMs to GrandMage and myself. To any others I say mind your own business. It's none of your concern. I don't post arguments in public, because of the harm it does to the thread, so I'll respond to this in private as well.

I hate to see you go, Paendragon, you're a good writer, but I have to say that in this case I believe that the others are right.
You're last description was completely unrealistic, and is a drastic departure from the image that you have instilled for yourself, that of a former shepherd who has been away from home for only two years and served as a merchant's guard.
I'll leave out anything else in the interests of keeping this private, as you seemed to desire, and look forward to seeing you elsewhere, if you can overcome that god complex issue.
