I started reading RJ a couple of months ago, but have only got to book eight as yet.
I'll go ahead and post my character, and you can tell me if its ok, or if you'd like any changes.

Name: Leira al'Daran
Race: Human
Country: Andor
Aes Sedai of the White Ajah
Height: 5'3
Weight: 105lbs

Background: Daughter of a Andoran noble, she began journeying to the white tower when she was 12 years old. She stayed as a Novice for four years, and an Accepted for three. She has been Aes Sedai for almost one hundred years, although it would be impossible to tell that from her face.

She chose the White Ajah after careful deliberation, deciding that it was the most logical choice. She is careful and deliberate, but finds that people may react illogicaly to her bluntly truthful statements.

She has read many ancient texts on the Horn of Valere, and unlike most of her Ajah, believes in its existence. It is due to this belief that she searches for the horn, to prove its existence for once and for all.

City: Small farm in the Plains of Maredo

Growing up at the farm Damer had to work hard from sunup to sundown starting at the age of 7 years and had grown quite strong because of it. Day after day he would work with his dad tending the fields and learning how to use the quarterstaff his father had made out of a branch from an old oak tree.

He had worked with is dad until the age of 16 when he decided that it was time for him to leave, so taking what little he had he moved to Far Madding. Being only 16 made him a target for cutthroats and thieves there but the oak staff had shown to be an affective deterrent. Not only did it help him survive it also made him a tidy profit by challenging the men who thought that a staff was nothing compared to a sword.

After a few years in Far Madding he met a woman who said that she would trade lessons in the art of daggers for lessons in the quarterstaff, agreeing he and the lady started and in a short time she had taught him all she new and he the same. When they parted ways she gave him a set of throwing knifes and two daggers both silver but one was as black as night and in return he gave her a staff he had made from a maple tree that had fallen over in a nearby woods.

I was going to take the pledge of from the hunters of the horn if there is one if not I’m headed to Illian because that’s were I thought to start my search. Why I’m doing it is because I’m a farm boy who is looking for adventure and thought that this would be a greatest one.

Megan is the only daughter of a minor landowner with pretensions to nobility. She was a rebellious child and woudl have grown up a wilder if not for the unexpected visit of Aes Sedai in her 14th summer. She hated every minute of her training and deep down inside still retains the rebellious, stuborn but intelligent teenager she was.

She determined early on that she would not be allowed to forget abotu her powers and so decided to take full advantage of the training and skills and power of the Aes Sedai - she never considered a choice ohter than Green not becasue she had any deep desire to follow their path but becasue she saw that Greens were allowed more leeway in their behavious - especially around men.

on a return trip to Tar Valon Megan found a Warder - she is still a little unsure abotu this - she hadn't realised how close they would be to each other and is slightly disconcerted both by Nestrum's desire to protect her and their shared ability to sense the others presence. She likes him but is keeping a distance - retreating behind the wall of Aes Sedai calm while she figures out how to deal with the unexpected spects of this new relationship.

It's not too late yet, Lethe, just post a bio. You can be whatever you want, though it might be interesting to see how you play a wolfbrother, since we seem to be heading toward having an overabundance of warders here.

You're definately welcome, Sprite, I havn't seen you around for a while, but I remember how well you write from a ways back. Your character choice looks good, we just need a bio for her. As for the warder, we'll see if anyone else wants to join you, since I don't plan to start this thread until sunday night.

(I will also be pposting a character, but due to his relevance as a focal point for the plot line, I won't be posting a bio for him, though certain details will be made clear.)
It's now Thursday morning, 12:22 am where I am.
I intend to start the actual thread on Monday morning at approximately 12:00 am.

Until then, any more people who wish to join are still welcome, so long as bio's are posted to explain your character.
If anyone wishes to team up with others, you are welcome to, but it would be preferred if said teams were to remain small, since this is primarily a thread designed to see who can reach the goal first based on clues originating from my character's exploits. (Note, there will be no interaction between my character and any player characters, however, anything I post about him should be regarded by players as gossip heard in towns, from passersby, etc. He is there only to provide clues.)
Think of this as a Robert Jordan version of The Game Of Clue meets Where's Waldo meets The Amazing Race Television Show.
