OOC/Casting Call: Wasteland II

i apologize for being slow...

qc, where does my peaceful human exist in all this?

tentative thoughts:

gina is a leader of the faction for peace on her way up in power. her gathering of followers increases with her successes in politics. she resides in zion and deals with people of all factions. occasionally, gina will pass on relavant information.

i think i'll be pretty passive in this... anyone can use me for info and i suppose i can be the barometer of general mood (ie whichever direction negotiations and power plays should be going)

thoughts?

Hmm. Even that is a lot. Not exactly normal is it? I wonder what I was thinking when I made this character.

The world may never know.

I just call him 'Guy'. It's easy to remember.

You remember my name? how sweet! :p Bring in whoever you want Quiet_Cool, I'm ready and willing to comply. :D

The Z-Factor characters

Brianna--A scientist, but a brave one, Brianna volunteered to test Lactide, and was given the opportunity due to her small body size. Standing to a mere 4'3, weighing only 85lbs, she holds little physical prescence, but is a brilliant scientist. Pretty though delicate in appearance, Brianna has become a great asset to the Z-Factor team.

Fawn--Brianna's best frind, Fawn has been trained less as a scientist than as a communications, technological officer. Working closely with Brianna to better the chances of success in the Lactide experiment. Fawn is gentle at heart, but willing to take up arms to help a cause he believes in.

Dexter--More a soldier than anything else, Dexter was brought into the project to help protect the complex against any enemy attacks. His is one of only seven people in "The Tank" brought in to protect it.

Doc--Doctor Zeb Mooler, head of the Z-Factor experiment and in charge ot "The Tank," he is the mind behind the scientific advancements being discovered by the Z-Factor team. Eccentric, the Doc is known to some in "The Tank" as the "Freakshow," though respected by all.

Sorry QC, I just cant seem to come up with a character that I want to use on here. I have to bow out.

CHEWY!!!!

Don't leave darlin'!

There is PLENTY of scope for character's here.

I know it's hard with QC and I doing so many character's ourselves, but honestly, it's just to keep the action moving along.

For instance, I just introduced a new character 'Jude'. A computer programmer who isn't exactly happy to be working for the underdogs.

Character's like this, one's that are not Satra or Sage are open for take over if other players wish. Or similar characters can be easily developed.

You could even come on board as Zed's 'number one' or similar lacky. I know a lot of people prefer to play the alien-types, but being human ain't all that bad. And it's a hell of a lot easier as the alien's have specific traits which aren't always easy to assimilate.

Anyway... was only planning on making this a short post to try and convince you to join... :D

Did it work?

[LOL]

Sorry for the slow reply, but I wasn't sure what to tell you. The truth is, you can add a new dimesnion to the story if you like. What made the first one so fun is that we all took part in the plot and none of us really overdid our own importance in it.
AN idea, however, is that she might be a part of the Z-Factor experiment, as they are a peaceful faction of scientists and similar-minded people who live in hiding.
I figure, they'll probably end up being a group made up of former Zion citizens who were set aside by the council of elders to work do their work without disruption of the military leaders, such as Zed, who would have no knowledge even of thier existance. Zed's takeover will leave them with no choice but to contact and side with the New Republic, which is what Dexter is wandering through the desert in search of.

Okay...
bobo's been MIA since 7-23, so I'm going to try and write around Denoitnem, mostly because if we leave him behind, like we did in the last one, it might become hard for him to re-enter the thread, if not impossible.
My apologies to bobo, but we're stalling already. I'm sure he'll understand.
Hopefully I don't misrepresent what he intended with Denoitnem.
I'll try to leave it so he can slip right back inot the mix, but I can't make any promises...

Ok, here goes, now that I have read the new thread fully, I have an idea for a character.

Name : Raythum
Nickname: Weasel
Height: 5'2"
Weight: 140 Lbs
Hair: Red
Eyes: Green

Background: His last sane recollection was being in Zion before the missle attack. His family was living on the edge of the Dome making a bare living scavenging. When he saw that the missiles were incoming, he was able to escape the city through means of a garbage chute. When he landed outside, he landed hard and remembered little. When he came he, it was some of Zed's men waking him up roughly. His battered and bruised body was the object of much ridicule as the men decided what to do with him. They decided that since he did not seem very intelligent (his landing jarred his brain a little) , that he would be perfect to work in the prison doing menial labor. He had been there for some time.

During this time, his mind had slowly been healing itself and his intelligence was coming back. He thought to bring this to some of the loyalists attention, but decided against it since they treated him so harshly. He was source of ridicule throughout the prison, the guards beating on him for the slightest transgression. He had heard from some of the prisons about the "New Republic" and was trying to find a way to get out of the prison and make his way there.

So'kay?

Ok QC, here is my idea, I will do an introduction post, just to get my character in the prison. Then when your characters are making a prison break, my character can help them escape in exchange for going with you. Sound good?

Chewey

Looks good to me, Chewey, just remember that none of the characters in the prison can know where this new city is that is under construction, especially given the fact that Thallon and Sage and Madge don't even know. Perhaps, if Bobo makes a safe return, Denoitnem might know the location from whatever desert tresk he has taken, or maybe they'll all have to find the place on their own. Other than that, the plan works out perfectly. Nice character by the way. Does he have any specific skills we should know about?

Thank you.

To be honest , at this stage, he is not really set in stone. If there is something that will come in handy in the future, then PM it to me, and I will add it. It would make sense if Bobo's character knows where they are going since he was obviously sent by someone to get the characters out of prison.

Chewey

I'm not sure if we'll see Bobo again for a while or not...I think he's still MIA, but his character is mysterious enough that we can overpass the explanation of why he is there. In truth, we may have to, given that his contact in the first thread was solely with Thallon and Sage.
Go ahead and post for him, let us know where to find him...Another character will be a great help with getting some momentum going on this thing.

LOL, I was posting to the thread while you were posting here. Any ideas on abilities? One that I was thinking of , was maybe as a tinker. He takes things apart or modifies them to make them better or new things completly. How does that sound?

Chewey

Ok QC, ready and waiting for you guys to come around the corner so I can join up. How about "I heard that there is a resistance to Zed creating a stronghold in the Caves of Cedress. I know where those are. Is that where you want to go? " That way we have an idea of where we are going .

Chewey

Hey guys, don't think i've forgotten about you. I just moved across town and let me just say that BellSouth sux. I just got my internet back since July 23. Does that suck or what! Anyway, to make a long story short.....

. . . I'm Back

Welcome back Bobo, good to see you back on.

Uh...Money, Darklord's not here this time...there're no Andromedians with the group in the prison. Just three humans and a...a...a Denoitnem...;)

Ok, I am confused. Are you all fighting the guards in front of me, or did you guys decide not to take me? I am confused, help me out here.

Chewey

oh!

sorry... for some reason I thought that Madge was Andromedian... I was just remembering that initially in the new republic... the team consisted of both andromedian's and human's fighting togehter... sorry!

please ignore my slip... thanks!

Okay, Chewey. While the four were there, speaking with Weasel and deciding to take him and his advice, the guards attacked. We're fighting them, and I believe you're still there.

Ok Cool, now I can post again. Just did not know what the heck happened there for a minute.
