Yeah, but as I pointed out, she's injured and I'm sure no one would mind if I NPC'd him. It was done earlier in the game.

With only a couple of exceptions all of the members from the last X thread and anyone mentioned (Havok, Nightcrawler etc) are valid as background characters.

You can use them as a foil for your main characters, to add substance to the post and to help create a background.

But if they don't have a points system it is assumed they are not physically ready for combat.

I see what he means. Yeah, Nightcrawler couldn't go on the mission unless you are going to play him. You'd have to have a points system and a Danger Room sim with him but that would count as a "move" and time would pass.

Technically, if there wasn't a limit on who to use in the game, it would be a total dues ex machina scenario. The X-Men have had over 70 some odd mutants at one time ascribe to them (my count)

Just grabbing anyone one of them when the situation arose would make the game pointless.

The other reason is so that the focus is on the people playing.


Use what you have and who you have

Oh and Jake don't forget Danger Room simulations take time. If the X-Men run one now that will count as their move and time will pass with regards to the missions.

Part of the game is who is selected and who isn't for a Danger Room simulation.

Bio: Nori ran away from her parents in Japan when her father refused to accept her genetic mutation. Prior to enrolling at Xavier Institute, Nori lived on the street and was reliant on drugs to keep her powers somewhat manageable.

Powers: Nori can absorb electricity from the air, electrical appliances, outlets, ect. Too much energy causes mental overloads, and causes her to loose control over the blasts. Since joining the Institute, Nori has been equipped with two mechanical gauntlets. The gauntlets control her electrical intake and discharge.

Offensive Uses of Power:
- Lightning blasts 5m (30-50 points)
- Direct contact electrocution (30-90 points)
- Full uncontrolled discharge (100 points)

Defensive Uses of Power:
- Superhuman speed (10 points/min)
- Drain electricity (max points would be 100, but I think it would depend upon how much electricity she has already absorbed. But seeing how, with the gauntlets, she could just discharge the gained electricity then go back to absorbing it, I’m not sure how to rate this.)

I just edited Gambit's mutant ability alittle and added a bit more explination.

Name: Gambit

Powers: Ability to manipulate an objects Kenetic energy making the objects unstable and thus turning them into explosives with varying power depending on how much of a "charge" he gives them. Note: As per the original Gambit,Uncanny Xmen #266, the energy comes from his eyes offering a little time delay just to make it interesting.

Specialty: Field Leader; Covert Operations; Possible Teacher


Offensive Uses of Power

1. Lock pick (1 - 10) - small charge to open locks

2. Pick a card (10 - 50) - Charged card/dart/object that explodes once it comes into contact with an object

3. Royal Flush (10 - 100) - Five charged cards/darts thrown with varying charges that explode once they come in contact with an object.

4. Timed Charge (10 - 100) - A work in progress as he hasn't quite figured it out yet. Charging an object with energy but making it so that it doesn't explode for a small amount of time.

Defensive Uses of Power

1. Pick a card (10 - 30) - Charged card that explodes once it comes into contact with an object.

Other skills: Skilled Hand-to-hand fighter (uses an extendable, adamantium staff); Master Thief

Also, I finally posted on the IC thread bringing Gambit into the fray, however he will have to get from Europe back home before becoming involved with the happenings at the Mansion.

Alright, I feel something must be said. I had hoped it would work itself out naturally but apparently it has not. Let3us2be1free0, I must insist that you cease and desist with the text message abbreviations. They are driving me up the wall, and I am sure that I'm not the only one who feels this way.
