I have spoken to dragon in pm and he has said that he appreciates the concerns that have been expressed. He plans to arrange for his char's ship to be destroyed so that he becomes a passenger on Serenity and on a more even footing with the rest of the crew. This will also allow for more conversation/backstory to come out. As River is missing a love interest and Book hasn't posted in ages, I think that this is a reasonable, workable compromise and that we should see how it plays out.

Next job Serenity picks up, we'll organise some pussy for you. I think Book hitting on River would be a bit of a stretch I'll also pm ssunstorm and see if she wants to cameo as the red haired conwoman Mal 'married' in FF, that oughta mix things up a bit.

He is rather trigger happy but with a bit of luck I can distract him with Mira's charms.

River's birthday would be a good opportunity for a bit of light hearted social interaction. Jan can maybe talk more about his past and River can hopefully develop herself a love interest. Sound like a plan?

Charater Name: Casey Bennett

Appearance:
Male, Mid Twenties. An old soul, well traveled, a little on the weathered side... makes hime look older tha he is.He stands 5'11" with a Shaved head and a braided goatee, peircing green eyes that at the same time portray an unrivaled self confidence, as well as an inner sadness.

We wears well worn tan cargo pants, leather boots, and a black a frame undershirt with a Browncoat flight jacket unzipped overtop. Usually he is seen with a sidearm straped to each leg, and one in a shoulder harness inside his jacket. A large celtic cross tattoo adorns his left forearm, and another of a pair of brass knuckles decorates his neck. Two gld earings in each ear, and a chain around his neck. His voice is low but comforting and he is an easy conversation with anyone around him.

Personality:
A wild rover, a gambler, the space age equivilent of an irish gypsy....or pirate. Unpredictable, but steadfast. His demeanor promotes trust in those around him, yet you are always left feeling like you don't have the whole story.

My idea for the character:
I am a huge Firefly fan, i would love t be a part of this RPS. If allowed i would like to join in when the two ships take off from the moon, essentially a distress signal from a disabled ship.... appeals to Mals side of wanting to help people, but also his cautios nature....help or not? Kaylee is back, and Mal now has another captain (Jan), and a passanger (Mira) he is unsure about. Imagine his bloodpressure if another is thrown into the mix. Can Kaylee help with the disables ships engine? How will Jayne react to another alpha mal personality on the ship?

I think it would be a huge amount of fun, and i would love to join. Please let me know.

I appreciate your interest and I like the look of your character. Unfortunately we're a bit guy heavy at present and a couple of existing characters have been left with little to do (or screw). I think therefore that it would be best to just put your char on ice for a bit until I can round up a couple more wimmen. By all means keep a close eye on the OOC and we'll work you in somewhere in the not too distant future.

ETA: ssunstorm hasn't got back to me so I'll post on the TTNP sticky and see if we can't even up the numbers. If anyone wants to double up and write for Saffron then please do speak up. Think we're gonna need a bigger ship at this rate! Also, ideas for plot and working a couple of new people into the story wouldn't go amiss. Saffron could be up to no good on Yukon or we could pick her up wherever we go next - suggestions needed!
