Love the direction this has taken. My hats off to TheBrat and SW for tying it all together. Time for the revolution! Aye, ye shall feel the vengeance of the one who has been taken against her will!! ;)

I also like the direction the story has taken. I hope someone lets me out of my cell soon, so that I can get involved in one side or the other. ;)

New player?

I dont know if it's too late, but i would maybe like to join this. I can maybe be the navigator SJ's ship....

At about 6 feet, he has short, dark brown hair, and dark brown eyes. He is fairly strong, but does not appear so, and often catch people that does not know him well off guard with his strength and speed. He is deadly with all firearms, and a master of the Rapier. He can also fight hand to hand, but doesnt often do so, because he thinks they are "un-artistic".

So..... is Mark(the char's name) ok?

Confused

I am a little confused...if someone could clear it up? Is the Black Raven for or against the Hawkes? I like that DiamondRough is joining in on the revolution but she seems to be against the Hawkes and joining in with the Black Raven. But I thought the Black Raven was on the Hawkes side?

i think....

I'm not sure... but the last post by wildfire says that black raven is mearly pretending to be on the Hawkes' side...
Am i right?

i do beleive at the last posting BR was held in a room reserved for prisoners to be ransomed, waiting to be acknowledged that she is what she claims to be by BB...i posted on these premises...What if bart doesn't acknowledge her????

She has a hidden ship...has hidden from bart for quite a time...and has had ample time to reveal herself in the past...

She would make a tremendous foe for the Hawke's....

"One is judged by the character of their enemies?"........

if you read further back, antonio has come to this island to free his sister and the spanish prisoners.....

But what is black raven up to???? the intrigue continues......

You aren't the only 1 thats  I just got done reading the new posts.I  myself enough without someone else doing it for me.

At the risk of being rude.....

The question is: What if BLack Bart doesn't claim you as his sister???? if you read his first post he says he is the son of a only son....from tahiti, no less....

So....after all your posting if he says you arent his sister....then what????

and while we're on the subject...who want's this to be a bloody, violent thread as the brats posts suggest????? i have followed all the posts and though an uprising is suggested all posts are of a non violent nature......

Black Bart doen't know that he has a Twin Sister having been seperated at birth! I hate violence but an upraising yes. I don't think that what you said was rude.

Oh pooh!:( Are we fighting??? if i have posted badly i would be happy to go back and change or delete the post....

I hate the idea of our happy :) group fighting, especially when it's not over me...tee hee...

Seriously what is the big discussion over:confused:

hey diamond, no not fighting...just trying to discuss...

a few points.....black raven suggests a lot in her posts....but until late has had no verification of her posts, not even replies from the characters when she beats on their doors.....

she writes herself as barts sister...hints a violent bloody uprising...prophets the uprising before we even develop it...then says she's confused...I think we all are confused.....

but you're right diamond...if my posting is a problem, I can go back and change it, eliminate the hints....I would hate to try and control other peoples characters, against their wishes...

hmmm, is there a moral to all of this?????

about the way the thread is going

Hi! As I have written before and will more than likely write again, I think the role playing and the writing here are outstanding. All of you have been doing a great job This plot is becoming wonderfully complex with great twists and turns.

Also, I am very happy to see we have new characters joining us even as we progress. Welcome aboard and I hope you have fun. Still room for more people becoming involved.

If anyone is new to the literotica forum, I would invite you to check out the sexual role playing main page, the thread that always shows up top about basic guidelines. The first post has a link to a sort of handbook of useful general guidelines. I refer to it from time to time just to keep myself refreshed.

Okay, on to other stuff. *G*

The revolution so far has been waged with minimal violence and it seems a general consensus that it stay that way. That doesn't mean that there hasn't been some (the unfortunate sailor/spy at the beginning is a case in point and the recent abduction of Elizabeth Hawke.)

Personally, I believe this is well within keeping of the genre itself AND the type of role playing here. Certain elements in the story have caused concern and yet we've all cooperated wonderfully in modifying or changing directions to avoid undue violence.

Also, I feel we shouldn't overlook the tension building aspects of the threat of death and violence. This does not have to necessarily lead to bloody scenes but I think can be used to good effect in providing motivations and reactions from characters. (Hawke, for instance, when he eventually discovers his sister and Crystal missing.)

Couple of items I would like very much for us all to consider:

1) Please read each others' posts. There are threads within threads within threads (geez, sounds like something out of Dune doesn't it? *L*) That creates a minimum of confusion in knowing how to react to what is going on elsewhere, even if not in the immediate scene being played.

2) I have a request: No kills of active characters. there may be some deaths along the way, but I would ask we confine that to those characters not actually being played by another writer unless the two of you work out some agreement ahead of time in the event someone decides they want to leave the thread. This does not have to be the only way a character leaves the thread, either. If someone at some point does decide to leave, and I really hope everyone is having a good enough time not to, please post your decision here and in the Hawke's thread with a short note, just to let us all know.

Again, I hope all of you are having as much fun as I am with this thread, not only writing and interacting, but reading what the others have written. The sex has been great and steamy and I'm sure more is yet to come, as well as subtle manuvering towards the revolution and other plot turns yet to be.

Thanks for listening

The Black Raven

I'm still developing my Chacacter but I'm open to the idea of my being the Princess of Seth.;)

just a bit more

I think BadForm first set up this thread as a supplement so we can ask questions, clear up confusion, etc. And that was and is a great idea.

so far, I've not seen anything that indicates a major problem. Please bear in mind, as we all write in character, sometimes those characters are not what they seem. *G* wildxfire and diamondnrough have certainly used that to wonderful advantage in this story!

a device used to good effect in many stories, particularly ones of the adventure generes, is the "red herring", misdirection (see particularly wildxfire's posts for some outstanding examples of this.) It has certainly been used very well here.

I would though, ask that we all remember to respect each others' characters. Force no one in a direction they are unwilling to go. And should this happen inadvertantly, accept when the other writer says, "Hey" and see about cooperating with them in redirected writing to fix the situation.

Just some thoughts. Though I began this thread, I've never really considered it "my" thread, but rather our thread. Truth to tell, this story has gone in a direction I did not visualize at first and I have to say I think it is far better as it is developing than my original limited vision. This is due to the outstanding creativity and imaginations of all who are contributing. I am honored to be among so many talented writers and look forward to this thread continuing for a long time, and just getting better and better as it goes along.

Again, thanks for listening!

I am not upset, I was just a bit confused. I didn't want to write anything until I knew what was going on. I did not want to take anyone's character in a direction that they did not wish it to go. I think I may have missed reading a post and that was part of my confusion. Just wanted to clarify the situation. I like TheBrat's posting in that they are mysterious! I had just thought she was an ally of the Hawke's.

All of the writers here are terrific ;) Not just the talent but the cooperation and willingness to change.

How Quickly Breakdowns Can Occur

I had believed there was a plot in action already??? Maybe some of us need to take this to email or PM and try to work out a solution now that everyone has sort of planned their own uprising, so to speak. If possible, the characters of Amanda, Raven, Magician, Crystal, and Padre Marco can PM me if they like for plot explanation. Can't reveal too much to the Hawkes! ;)

Magician of Seth.....is that OK with you??

about confusion

Hi, everybody, it's me again.

Has anyone here ever played that great board game, "Risk"? Not the best parallel, I'm sure, but one of the things about the Hawke's thread, in my opinion, is its flexibility. The openness it has to have shifting alliances, secret agendas, revelations which can change the course of how characters interact or even the story.

there's so much mystery going on here! And that is wonderful. I can see more and more how this story is becoming a psychological battle with minimal violence (though what of that occurs is well within keeping for the genre; again, my personal thought is the ominous threat of danger may be even more exciting than the occurence of violence. Would also point out, sword fights do not necessarily lead to death or even have to be completed, characters perhaps retreating from the battle to lick wounds or even just to be testing strengths.)

Me, I'm just enjoying the ride and the great writing I read from all of you. emails between different characters, as has been suggested for plot moves, is a great idea, I think.

so let's rock and roll! Hope you are having as much fun here as I am.

Thanks for listening.
