OOC: Return From Madness

I skipped over the genders looking alike thing didn't I? You know when you see some one from bit of a distance or from behind; and you question if that is a boy or a girl. Then you look at them a bit longer and you know what they are. Something around that level.

Your defect comment some how got lobed in with the gender question. So if you feel so posed they could of taken a character of one gender and accidentally made it the other, something like that is perfectly acceptable. Another acceptable error would be giving the wrong weapon to a particular class. Although for game play issues I'd like to say the omniblaster is for scouts only, if you want your scout to have a crystal sword or inertia staff that is fine.

Hmm... so does that mean I am playing or NOT? ;) :p

Umm.... hmm, well I wasn't thinking of making the chara invincible among the others. And yes, the weapons in Ultra Violet did go in certain places... which I was trying to make sense. I was thinking more of infantry with some early sign of armor. Perhaps shape-shifting without gaining strength nor height. Or... better healing power.

I might as well chose infantry... I figure. *Shrugs*

thanks shoto, good questions...you seem to have something not seen often in today...common sense, glad to be playing with someone that has it, cause the people I work with don't!

In my IC post, the man Josh follows is Dan, in case that slipped anyone's notice, unless ren or cats have an objection...

GAME ON!

Start as you want to start, as long as you don't have an army under you I won't complain to much.

Shoto you know damn well you can't play with out posting a character first. I was suggesting making light armor so you can stand out, the problem with mutations is it implies the grays are new at this sort of work, which they aren't.

k...I was waiting to follow 'Dan's' lead, but I'm tired of waiting...take the reigns cats, let's get the game on!

Okay I am probably going to say something very foolish here, but I have two more weeks of class in the meantime don't feel the need to wait for me, since I can catch up.

This week and next week maybe time consuming.

Are yee taking summer class? Same here, altho I hardly go to them. I am guilty for not starting the chara yet.

*Ducks* I'm going I'm going!

...How am I supposed to do that?
Well, I guess the NPC could just stare in shock...

Blarg.

Like I said foolish. I completely see your point. How ever you've posted NPC reactions before, and can imagine how one might act. The major drawback is you'd be playing with yourself, which I have done in threads before. So I haven an idea of how that can be good and how that can be boring. With any luck it wouldn't be more then a post or two, I am trying to get on here as much as possible. The problem this week was I had work due on Monday and again on Tuesday. Next week I have Monday and Friday that projects are do, but I plan to try and budget my time better.

After that I have two weeks where only work is a possible source of conflict. Then I start the normal school semester which with any luck will be far more manageable.

GM that was one of the nicest RP posts I've ever seen...LOL Well written, satirical, and with an undertone of sarcasm. Bravo and thank you! LOL

cats, take heart brother, college won't last forever, well maybe, if you don't want to repay any loans! I'm taking it that the blind dude is at my and Dan's tree and I'm betting that Nate is about to blast me out of hunger...lol

I hadn't thought about staying in college to escape loans. I was planing to die, and then be revived in a hospital seconds later. Thus escaping my loans in the recommended manner.

1 year left. Really it's a mix of this summer school coarse and work that is getting me. My sleep schedule is funny as a result I have more trouble getting to sleep, and the alarm usually wakes me. I feel if I had a better sleep schedule then I would be able to do just fine at school, and maintain my life.

yo, cats...you know they say you can't take your money with ya when you die...well the same goes for your debts...the money is still owed and someone (eg. your heirs) has to pay it....

GM...wha....I went from appluading you to scratching my head saying
w.........t...........f..........

All right guys, there's something...do with it what you will, but I'll be damned if this thread is going to die with less than 5 pages!

The plot is aliens show up today, abduct a few 100 people.

WTF? From the only guy who was abducted outside the ten year timeframe the rest of us are working on?

I mean, seriously dude. Seventy years. SEVENTY YEARS our senior. So you've been a blue for seventy years. While every other one is only Ten?

Anyway, The character is responding in much the same way I would.
If this confuses you, good. His mind is going a hundred miles an hour.
He's already basically figured out everything but the greys. The cause of everything still eludes him, but he's pretty good on what's going on.

EDIT: Also, biodeisel requires a lot of heavy pumps and precise measurements. You can't really just drive around with it all in your back, you'd have to be based somewhere, which puts a damper on people ranging out looking for fuel. It's very useful, but they wouldn't be able to range more than a half tank before having to turn back.

Sorry last week of summer school, and guests in town. Been hectic.

I may very well of been away to long this time. Any how, I see the confusion. Yeah the dune buggy with a flack cannon is out of place.

Still I am not going to bother editing it. Just don't ever expect to see another one.

The 70 year old Soldier Lycan was playing is easy enough to explain. He would be one of the aliens first tests. The Greys havn't worked with human DNA before, so they need a little practice with that. The question is what has he done those 70 years? I have a few ideas on that, which may come up later.

well I was working with...um what...nothing.
and any diesel engine today can take used fry grease, strain it, then pour it straight in to your tank...it will run with only about a 3% decrease in fuel efficiency. Besides the fact that this is a fantasy world. So I figured in a world torn apart and without power, that scavenging would become a pretty popular profession...

well I wasn't throwing in a flak cannon, just a guy wearing a flak jacket, I was thinking an odd assortment of guns, just what ever they could scavenge over the last few years. maybe a shotgun with a machete attached and a few hand guns, but still they'd have to scavenge for bulletts. I was going to have them happen upon us and slaughter then, but what ever... I was happy to see that cats caught the reason why these guys were able to kill a Blue.

As for the 70 year thing we only age 4 years for 10 years...so my char was abducted at age 12...so as I posted in my char creation ....I look 39 And I have no memory of the last 70 years, I wanted a char that would not only be disoriented by being blue and losing a few years, but be thrust into an alien culture as well...

So I guess the next time that mine is the last post I'll just let the thread die; to be resurrected by some newb next year...

No need to be so negative. I simply lashed out because your post made me feel like you were commenting negatively about how I do things.

It was inappropriate, and I apologize.
(It's amazing what time does to help you calm down and see clearly.)

...I don't even know where to start. I have so many thoughts but *shrugs* getting there.

Grand, I want to know one thing... how does Nate get to realize he has "special skills"? He never tried it out, but just know of the gadget.

Nathaniel was spending the time before we started RPing going, "What's this?"

"Oh shit, I can do X with this! This is neat."

Nathaniel, for all his flaws, has a very strict way of going about things. When first he awoke to strange lands and times, he immediately suppressed the urge to panic, and instead got curious as hell about everything. He emptied all his pocket, took stock of everything he has, and began some experimentation to make sure he knew what was going on.

Kind of how now, the more he learns, the more he adds to the knowledge pool he has to figure out what's going on, playing games to get the most knowledge he can out of people. And then running that information logically as fast as he can until he starts to peter out, in which case he just stops worrying about it and moves to something else.

Ezhno Talbot

Name: Ezhno Talbot
Sex: Male
Age: 32
Hair: White with shades of dark blue, straight, inch above the shoulders with the back tied in a pony-tail.
Eyes: Left = Dark blue. Right = Natural blue.
Type: Light-Armor
Clothing: Crew-Neck white t-shirt with the sleeves ripped, black thick-worn leather trench-coat with the sleeves pretty much ripped out, dirty-faded black brushed cotton jeans, faded-black ankle boots (like the Timbs).
Weapon: 40 inch Crystalized metal katana with enchanting letters written in blue.
Bio: Troubled young man at the age of 22 with a depressing past devoted himself to be a martial artist in guidance of the Shaolin temple. He abandoned his past life including his family and wanted to search for his life purpose. He believed there was a meaning to his life, yet anger and sadness haunted him because he felt he never fit anywhere. College graduate from NYU with Psychology and Engineering doesn't help him feel any better. Philosophy about God and life questioned him. After a long day of practice, Ezhno meditates on the high tops of New York City buildings before taken away...

Grand, both you and Nate are on drugs. Probably on speed. Slow down and post it in IC. :p
