OOC: Star Wars - Episode VIII: The New Threat

*munchin popcorn and listening* :D

There isnt much here I can add.. my char. is on a planet with little furry people and a Sith dude out to get midevil on their asses..

I supposed P wants to write a little sword play, this aughta be interesting ;)

If I suck at writing it, sorry in advance! LOL

covering all bases.

So instead of worrying about hurting someone's feelings for not getting a say so, all 50 chars/person. Why not just have whomever is in charge (i forgot his name) decide its best for the jedi to unite for the sake of all races? (or am I off base and thats been done?) Ok this does get confusing to me, but feel free to slap me upside the head and correct anything lol

D'Rack and Sara are on their way back to Coruscant, to get that set.

The 2 orders are going to unit, we already have taken care of it. :D

Ouch!
*Shaking hand after hurting it slapping Sweets in the head*

All straight up there now? lol

Okay, the Jedi don't actually have a leader yet. It looks like D'Rack will take the honors, but even then, it'll be odd how it works, given the diversity of the characters and the way we've focused on importance of character instead of plot. Odd, but we've gotten some good growth out of some of them over this thread and the last. It's caused a bit of a problem though. We have to let them act on their own, which is what has Raine on Alda so much, and Luke and Nastasia at odds, and the two Jedi orders separated to begin with, and...

You get the picture. We can't just say, okay, D'Rack, what do we do and then do it here. We've got higher powers to answer to. That's mostly why we're having trouble with the plot. We need to find something they can all adhere to.

Here's my thoughts: One, we end the meeting, given that (I think...) D'Rack has already left, adn our primary purpose has been served. Tynan and Raine suggest Dagobah, then they leave and go about other business, like finding and briefing Diora and her padawan (sorry, Paen, I forgot the name...and everything else... ). Then we tie up loose ends elsewhere.

A note real quick. We still have Respito to give up some info. He murdered a Senator's Aide (or some such thing) and ran off. His info needs to be presented, then we can toss him. I don't know what he has to say, but it has to do with the Dracuurians, so input would be nice. Also, Marius' friend, whose about to be found dying, will also speak, and I need some words for him as well.

I love a hard head.. hehe

I read the thread before I joined, it was just ALOT to read. Anyway im not needed in the discussion over what to do :) but I am still here.

I agree QC.

With the Jedi spliting into 2, and even though it is set to unit as one, I don't feel that D'Rack should be the big boss guy.

Why? Well, there is the trust issues. Many Jedi will think "Hey, what's to stop D'Rack from splitting the order up again?"

D'Rack will be in charge of defense and ofense, as he has some ships. Bot over all, I don't see how it would fit.

I suppose Duu'Raan is still there, so instead of there being one guy in charge, they can kinda split it. I had some other ideas for him, but what Orlanth says makes sense. D'Rack might not be seen as the person to unite the Jedi, since he was one of the key figures in dividing them.

QC, you're right on with the meeting. Lets get it over with, and move out, so to speak. The less standing around we do, the better, I think.

Then we can get Diora and her Padawan (yes, I forgot my own characters name. lol) rolling. As for you Sweet, my hard-headed young apprentice. I have some plans for you involving a certain large, imposing Sith Lord. :D

QC, I'm actually going to leave it to you to write the end of the meeting. I won't be around much until tomorrow night, and I don't want to hold us up now that we're going to start rolling again. Do your thing with Tynan... no worries... you know the character. Then we'll do the meeting with Diora rather quickly.

BTW Orlanth, QC is an officer under me in KoC. :)

Cool. I'll post as soon as I can come up with the right words...

I'm just learning the KoC deal, so be patient with me, Paen....lol. And I still haven't figured out how to put the link in my sig line.

Alright, I found my Padawan character. Going to repost him here for you all (and myself)

Galleos (Gally) Hunt
Jedi Padawan
5'8"
160 lbs.
Blond hair
Brown eyes
25 years old

Gally is only middle of the road as far as strength in the Force goes, and is an idealist. Possibly too much of one. Eager to learn. He comes from a large family (oldest of three brothers, five sisters), and views his journey toward Jedihood as his way of making the galaxy safe for them.

Hey guys...

Nothing important, but I went back to skim some of the characters I've posted here, in an attempt to brainstorm some (I'll repost all of them here for Sweets, probably in one post, when I get the time), and I realized. This thread's over a year old!!!

Just thought I'd point that out in case no one else realized.

Q_C

cool! A year old! *Teary eyes*

Ok, I'll post when the threadhasmoved on. Still to early.

:D Congrat's fellas, you guys are doing awesome in there.. lol I feel more like a spectator than anything but I dont mind. Anyway I am still here, reading, trying to keep it all straight in my head :)

Sweet dreams,

Carry-overs from the 1st thread.

Okay, my majors are:

Changes made!

Name: Raine DuVall
Age: 42
Gender: Female
Height: 5'8
Weight: 130 lbs.

Trained from a young age, Raine has always been at the top of her game, always ready to train, always ready to defend what is right, but her past is such a mystery that it has concerned her superiors from her finding, during the infant stage, when she'd been abandoned in a whorehouse on a planet on the Outer Rim. Having tested high in her midi-chlorian levels, she was immediately taken to the Jedi council for training. Her master, Marlik, once a friend of the legendary Luke Skywalker, trained her well, seeing her catch on to even the slightest of things without much effort.
The mystery of her origins, most distinctly, the identities of her parents, were much a concern as she began her training, though that concern has diminished as she grew to the order.
A little tall for a woman, Raine's physique is that of a woman who has trained hard, and never let up. She is chiseled, though not bulky at all, having the body of an athlete five to tens years younger, though her facial features show her age and determination, and her hard work, which has taken much of the youth from her appearance there. Rarely does she smile, and when she does, it seems forced. Her seriousness is more pronounced than in many others of her kind (jedis) the sign of some great worry dwelling beneath the surface that she finds unsettling.

Name: Marius Lane
Age: 31
Gender: Male
Height: 5'9
Weight: 180 lbs.

Bio/Info: Raised by a small community on a mining colony, his parents having abandoned him there, Marius stowed away on a mining ship headed for a "Rebel" planet, though the empire had apparently faced defeat by this time. Reaching the planet, he met a Jedi, Raine DuVall, and managed to befriend her, convincing the Jedi to take him on as an apprentice. Having a crush on Raine, a beautiful brunette with a perfectly athletic form, Marius hung on her every word, picking up the ways of the Jedi quite easily with his attention so well focused. Though beginning training late, he was more than skilled enough for his age by the time he reached his 20th birthday, and only got better in the years to come.
In his training, he grew to be friends with another Jedi in training, Daelon Eldritch. He passed the trials shortly before facing
Now, having passed the trials, Marius is one of many Jedi to offer a new hope to the Jedi Order. In the split of the Jedi Order, he has remained faithful to the Yavin Council of Jedi.

Name: Mogo
Age: not sure
Gender: Male
Race: Toydarian

Having learned the junk and salvage trade from his uncle, Watto, on Mos Epsa (Espa?), Mogo set out on his own, leaving the planet to make his own fortune without impeding on Watto's profit possibilities. Finding kerra Shiran, he joins her crew and quickly takes a liking to her. Soon he is greatly involved and making a name for himself in the smuggling trade. Though not much of a warrior, Mogo can use a blaster fairly well and has come to learn good strategical tactics in his time since joining the New Rebel Alliance. He has become useful given his knowledge of parts and reparations on ships such as the Spotted Owl.
Now, Captain of the Owl and a rebel loyalist, he has taken part in what the Jedi hope to be a revival of the Republic.

Name: Raven Bosch
Race: Human
Gender: Female
Age: 13
Height: 4'10"
Weight: 80 lbs.
A padawan learner. Chosen by Marius due to her similarities to his master, Raine, Raven also is the more serious type, though her relationship with marius, that of a younger sister, and his fairly light demeanor, have lightened her up some. Well-skilled with the lightsaber and learning at an amazing rate, she is humbly more aware of what she has yet to learn than that which she already knows.

Name: Darth Figgas--Formerly Marlik (Jedi Master)
Race: Twi'lek (http://www.starwars.com/databank/species/twilek/eu.html)
Gender: Male
Age: 51 yrs.

An accomplished Jedi Master, Marlik came from the planet Ryloth, where his people, especially the female, are known for their grace and beauty. Muscularly built, Marlik used the athleticism and grace, as well as the concentration, involved in his roots (dance) to build an astounding skill with the lightsaber. Quiet, but strong in prescence, Marlik had become well-respected, and almost unequaled with his dueling ability.
He had been missing for three years, himself and his padawan at the time vanishing on a mission near Tattooine, when Darth Vaine first became noticed in Cloud City, awaiting a mysterious package from a lone bounty hunter. That package contained a body, three years frozen. The body was that of Darth Figgas, who'd sucumbed to the dark side, bringing his padawan, Dietre then Darth Vaine, with him. Now, eight years later, Figgas has amassed an army of his own, strengthening his support forces and readying for what may be full-scale war with the Jedi. He has a new apprentice (Vaine having been killed in Cloud City), and many, many secrets...

Name: Nastasia Vish
Gender: Female
Race: Human
Age: 29
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 125 lbs.
Though Nastasia is rarely seen outside of her armor, at least by her "asociates," she is fair and quite beautiful, dainty but strong. Long brown hair, striking blue eyes. The whole bit. The armor however, hides all of this from view. Dark clothing, either brown or black, is dressed with body armor. A belt holds several items, including several types of hand blaster and a retractable grappling cord. Her head is protected from view by a helmet, covering her entire head and protecting it as the body armor would. Though not inpenetrable, the armor is quite effective.
Raised by her father and aching to be out in the universe instead of on a farming colony in deep space, Nastasia ventured into space with a simple vision. To find adventure. Learning at a young age that her father was the illegitimate child of an infamous bounty hunter (Boba Fett--sp?), she decides to follow in his footsteps and is soon considered one of the best. She quickly finds herself immersed in the struggle between good and evil, beginning with the delivery of an unusual package to a man in black in Cloud City. Hired then to retrieve the boy Luke, future padawan of Jedi Tynan, she succeeded in gaining thier trust, and has since, been in league with the Sith and Imperials lords. Her allegiance, however, comes with a price...

Okay: Now NPCs...

General Beegas--Just a recurring seargant (though he may have been promoted by this time). He survived the destruction of the base on Mached V, and knows several of the currently active Jedi. Recently promoted to General, Leroy Calrissian taken a positio as his 2nd.

Orin--Human; the mech on the Spotted Owl and a reliable friend to Mogo and Luke. (started out as someone else's character)

Leroy Calrissian--Desendant of Lando and following in his footsteps. Leroy controlled Cloud City, as well as commanding the rebel forces based in the abandoned mines below it. Since abandoning it, he joined with the rebel cause, following very closely in his grandfather's footsteps.

The Droids--R2-D2 and C-3PO of course. Thier current status is undecided, though they were actively involved in ep. VII.

Master Colme Harringer--Killed on the planet Alda, Colme has appeared in the past to help a Jedi, and may appear again.

The Eet-do--Small creatures that live in the swamps on the planet Alda in the Mached System. They helped Raine to find a way off the planet in order to return to the other Jedi, and are currently being integrated into the New Republic (or whatever alliance is being formed). Peaceful, yet determined.

Moedwyn Arakken--Human; Jedi Knight. Skilled, but nothing special, until the Jedi attacked the Sith in Cloud CIty, Moedwyn, who wasn't even present there, had seen little active duty but trained the children instead.

Some starting on this thread:

Balle Lister
Male
Weeguay
38 yrs. old
Jedi Knight of the Corusant Order

Description: 6-3, 195 lbs. Brown in skin tone, with extensively long braids hanging from the back of his bald head.

Balle, his mother and father slaves to the Hutts, escaped a life of similar servitude when a Jedi, realizing his potential, gambled to gain his freedom and took him into training.
A man of few words, Balle says only what he feels is necessary. Skilled in the arts of the force and fairly talented with the lightsaber, Balle has been fairly successful in the Jedi Order, thought his feelings toward both minor and major issues concerning his own life, the lives of those around him, and the universe in general, as well as the Jedi Orders and the rift between them is unknown.
Check out the Star WArs website for more detail on Weeguays. Maybe I'll post a link later...

Caben Raille
Male
Human
19 yrs old
Jedi Padawan of the Corusant Order

Description: Shoulder-length blonde hair, blue eyes. 6 foot even, with a slender, yet athletic frame. 170 lbs.

An angry young man, Caben, who was fairly unpredictable in his childhood, is becoming more so as he gets older. Thoroughly focused on the negatives of the world, and in particular, those around him, Caben has become a burden to himself and many of those who know him. Though handsome, he is far too introverted, focusing too strongly on things that he cannot control and demanding far too much of himself and others. The quiet nature of his Master, Balle Lister, has not helped him in this matter, but worsened his problems. Worse still, his cousin, Naven, also a Jedi Padawan, has rumored to have turned to the Dark Side of the Force, having vanished on a misson to Hoth just over a year ago. It is rumored that Caben has been tempted to seek out and join his cousin, but that his loyalty to the Jedi order, reflected in his unyielding attempts to resist the Dark Side, have kept him on Corusant. But his master, knowing the boy well, believes that another force has held him in place.
His future is as unpredictable as he, but his time of decision is coming.

Darth Blaze
Male
Sith Apprentice
Human
21 yrs. old

Description: Approx. 6'2, 185 lbs. When he is first encountered, Blaze was dressed in all black, carrying a purple-bladed lightsaber.

Blaze's origins are unknown, but in his first meeting he shows similar moves to a Jedi Knight named _________ (I'll make his name up later on), whose padawan was lost a year before (Naven Raille).

Name: Tie-Rae Binx
Race: Gungan
Age: Unknown, but midle-aged (whatever that is for a Gungan)
Height: 6'4"

Bio: APpearing very similar to his great-grandfather, Jar-Jar, Tie-Rae is proof-positive that a creature is more than it's bloodline dictates. Very coordinated, even athletic, Tie-Rae has used his natural Gungan flexibility and dexterity to greatly help in his saber techniques training, advancing his abilities fairly quickly, eventhough he is the last to wish to fight, even among the Jedi. The simplicity of mind, the only trait that he can say came from his predecessor Jar-Jar, has actually helped him in his training, keeping many of the more distracting thoughts that plague many races from interfering with his concentration. Clearly connected with the Force, when Tie-Rae was taken by the Dracuurians, he broke his contact with it as best he could, afraid that passing Jedi might sense him and come in search, only to be taken themselves. Caught between reaching out to his own kind and protecting them from his own fate, this former Jedi Master of the Coruscant Order has lived as a slave for three years after stumbling across the occurrences in the Outer Rim in a manner very similar to the way Raine has. Though, unlike Raine, his Jedi identity hasn't been discovered by is captors...

Queen Meryn Tobe Staben of Daytin
Age: 14

Young and weak, Mara is a leader at heart, but not one with many options. SHe's much more shrewd than her age and appearance would imply, but inexperienced and afraid, now that her people have been forced into slavery by the Dracuurians.

Makkern
Age: 46

Physically intimidating, he's much more mild mannered than he appears, especially after being humbled by the actions of the Dracuurians. His primary concern, even after more or less losing thier people to war, is the protection of the Queen.

Name: "Captain" Honisse Nurell
Race: Human

Middle-aged and accomplished in his life's work, the Captain has created a small empire of his own. His crew range in race and ability as much as one could possible expect. His "immediate family" consist of Rodians, Weeguays...even a Wookie, and thier talents include everything from smugglers and assassins to those trained in military leadership and mining. Notably to the Jedi who went to encounter him, some of his agents are even skilled in piracy. His forces have become large, and notable, though he keeps thier position and existence on the low-down, thinking it
better safe than sorry when it comes to facing off with the other major powers of the Galaxy. A boy-scout at heart, the Captain is prepared for almost anything, save for the Jedi that suddenly arrive in his midst. His intentions are not truly known, but the piracy of shipments from worlds of the New Republic does not create trust for the man and his allies.

Name: Gimora
Race:Rodian

Older and male, this Rodian has been "in service" to the Captain for years now, since his operation was a minor one hidden in the caves of Tillis. He's a trusted friend of several of the crew, including the Captain himself, and is usually found on the Captain's bridge, Being the Head of the Captain's personal guard.

Name: Neega Nuim
Race: Sullustan

The Captain's "trade advisor," Nuim is shrewd, yet silent in most cases. Most directly behind the pirated vessels, he is especially quiet when the Jedi arrive.

Name: Pleebo
Race: Ugnaught

Head of the Captain's "resources commitee", Pleebo is responsible for the production of certain materials found on worlds that the Captain has alread 'befriended." Mainly, mining, which the Ugnaughts have been known to be effective at.

Name: Yelbacca
Race: Wookie

Her place among the Captain's men and crew is uncertain, but the presence of a Wookie, a normally loyal and honorable race, is quite a surprise to the Jedi who encounter him.

Name: Fusion Nova
Age: 28
Gender: male
Race: Human

Description: Standing an inch over six foot, Fusion is notable in his appearance bu his wiry but muscular build and his head, bald save for the long brown braid extending from the base of his skull and hanging thickly down his back to his waist. His brown eyes are often mistaken as having no irises, pure black pupils, though they're rarely seen by anyone other than his prey and his companion.

Bio: Having left Yavin after completing the trials, shortly after the split of the Jedi Council into two factions, Fusion has taken to life with his two other companions. One, another Jedi who he trained with. He's taken to doing odd jobs here and there, from protecting travelers, to assassinations, if he agreed with the cause that was. A natural leader, some felt that Fusion might lead the next generation of Jedi, a stronger generation given the skills of those who'd taught them. Nearly half of these Jedi disappeared over the last eight years.

Blue-bladed lightsaber.

Name: Talsa Bettel
Age: 27
Gender: Female
Race: Horned Zabrak

Description: Generally well-hidden beneath her long, velvety red robes, Meesa is wise to keep hidden. rare among the galaxy's inhabitants, Horned Zabrak's are not widely accepted, nor liked among the galaxy's other occupants. Given a bad reputation by the memory of the long-since gone Darth Maul. Her facial features delicate, they are hardly noticable when considering her overall appearance, the horns a great distraction. A woman's graceful figure is hidden beneath the robes as well.

Bio: Quiet, reserved, and often more felt than heard, Meesa is a woman of few words, but a single gesture can convey the meaning of a thousand words when it's least expected.

Red-bladed lightsaber.

Jedi Knight

Diora Barren
Female
Human
47 years old

Description:
5'6" roughly 130 lbs, Diora is in good shape. Her brown hair hangs long down her back, often in need of being braided in case the time for action comes suddenly. Her striking blue eyes seem to shine out from beneath it. Her complexion is pale, and she could care less for the most part. After recieving a scar down the right side of her face (spanning the entire side, right through the eye, which is now a prosthetic-though a functioning prosthetic) during her years as a padawan, physical beauty became a distant concern to her. And she became antisocial, withdrawing from much of the socially approved groups during her childhood. Considered to be a bit odd, she is not often sought after by others unless necessary, save for by the council. An effective leader and good trainer, and perhaps one of the better Jedi Knights (note: Knight, not Master), she is often sent on more difficult missions and entrusted to succeed with little help. She carries a purple lightsaber.

Okay guys...

...and girl,

Let's get some major brainstorming going on. We've got to get this pieces together so we can get some movement. Here's my basic thoughts on where things should go. I'm gonna have Fusion be the leader of a small group of Jedi who've gone renegade (including Talsa, of course). The other two or three will be NPC. We also might want to consider a few more NPC Jedi, since we're making this a fairly big deal that we're bringing them all together. We don't need everyone to have posts or personalities, but a few should, and others can be openings for new members in leter threads. Three or four, who don't do much and can disappear into the background will suffice.

I'm not sure how much of this I've already said, so if I repeat something you all know, apologies.

All right. Marius is about to find an old friend on this planet, and that friend is most likely going to be dieing. I have no particular plan for who it might be, so if you have someone I might throw in there, toss the name out, we'll use it. I'm not sure what he'll do next (Marius and Raven both) but later, as things begin to come together, he's going to hunt down the Captain (Nurrell) and convince him to join in the struggle against the Dracuurians. I'm thinking that before we close this out, we should have the Jedi/Republic win a battle on one fo the less enemy populated slave-worlds and free some ofhte captured. It makes sense to me that their worlds will be basially destroyed, and so would their civilizations be, and the Queen (Stabyn) should unite them as one new world to occupy...well, whatever planet they can, most likely one in the Mached System, that way the Captain can oversee their safety.

I'm not sure where Raine's headed, but these visions'll get worse and begin to really wear on her. I'm toying with an idea I don't want to share jsut yet, but might a little later on. SHe's open for a direction if anyone has ideas.

Mogo and Orin still need something to do, but if they simply help out by using the Owl in a battle or two or transferring Jedi or soldiers, sobeit. Not everyone can be directly involved, and they had their turn in Ep. VII.

The Droids...Remember that they're there. 3PO is on the Owl, R2 on the Talon Just reminding everyone.

Also unused at the moment: Calrissian and Beegas, both of whom might be affiliated with either the Republic or the Jedi, depending on what we need. In the first, Beegas was stationed on the Jedi base, if you'll recall. Meodwyn Arraken is also just sitting around training the kids.

Nastasia will be causing quite a bit of stir I'm certain during their little venture after the jedi. It might work if we don't have them find Fusion, but somebody else. the clash alone between her and the Jedi might be interesting enough.

Caiben and Balle are probably going to question Respito, just so I can get him out fo the way. he might be killed off before they get the chance too, if that's better. Up to you guys, because he has to know something, and I've already stated that he killed the representative's Aide because he was basically a spy, which gives us the chance to plant more among the republic officials... ;) Conspiracy's always fun.

Paen, what're you planning on doing with Aela Rishtar? Anything in particular? Maybe get her in this somewhere.

Anyone else have ideas?

Let me think on it a bit.

Aela is going with Natasia, which should be fun, considering they don't like each other. Remember, she's a smuggler, and a cargo ship pilot, so she would know her way around the seedier sides of the galaxy, too.

As for the others, let me think, and I'll get back to you.

I'll wait and see what you two do, then Ill base mine of ours to fit in.

Alright...

I've finally done some thinking here... and have run in some problems with my characters. One of which, I've spoken to QC about-Tynan.

When I set about creating the character, I wanted him to be imperfect, with weaknesses and strengths. I decided to make his stregths such that he would, in actuality, be a perfect Sith. Those strengths are his extraordinary skill with a lightsaber, and his equally extrardinary skill with mind control (Jedi Mind Trick. When I say mind control, though, I mean just that . . . control. I don't mean on the weak-minded. I mean that he could impose his will on even a strong mind, to the point that he could basically override even the most base survival instincts, like making a person shoot themselves in the head. His strength in that area is such that if you fight it, you could do serious damage to yourself). His weaknesses, most glaringly, settle on his inability to levitate anything larger than a human (Yeah . . . that whole size matters not? It matter to him). i figured this weakness would enable a Sith to basically hurl large objects at him, and he would have no Force defense. Like the final duel in the last thread, when even after dealing the Sith a mortal wound, MArius had to rescue Tynan because he was stuck under a piece of machinery. Anyway, the problem I have is this. His strengths and weaknesses don't mean anything when used against the Dracuurians. In fact, he should be able to do some serious damage in battle with them, just as stormtroopers posed no real threat to him except in large numbers, the rule we had come up with of two or three Dracuurians being able to take a Jedi if they worked together won't necessarily work, either. That's just to let you all know why he'll be able to do the kind of damage he will, if he ever gets in to battle, which he most likely will. I'll just have to compensate by having a larger number of the enemy concentrate on him.

Then there is Luke. I had thought on him slipping somewhat. He's still pissed that Tynan won't teach him Vaapad (advanced form of lightsaber technique developed by Mace Windu, that walks the fine line between Light and Dark. The saying was . . . you either mastered Vaapad, or were mastered by it. If you were mastered by it, you went Dark). And he's bitter now, that Natasia is not being punished for what she did to him. Plus, as far as pure power goes, he's stronger than Tynan (he's the Emperor's clone, after all). QC, if you're looking for something for Mogo to do . . . helping Luke somehow might not be a bad idea.

Han Solo is a NPC, and as such, if anyone needs him, use him.

Admiral Dar Thandor is the youngest Admiral in the New Republic Navy, and is in command of the 'front' section of the galaxy. He will be heading the attack on the Dracuurians, but will play the same type of supporting role he always has played.

Jedi Master Duu'Raan is one of the leaders of the Yavin Council, and might the the one to become THE leader in light of what Orlanths brought up about D'Rack, which was a very good point. But keep in mind. He's sick, and old (like, well over 100 years old), so he won't be able to take an active part.

Aela, as I've already said, will be going on the hunt for the Jedi.

SweetP, we have to get Dev Daymon and your character the hell off of Endor (which is my fault. I'm sorry I've been so scarce, lately), and back into this storyline. Darth Moridin is there, too. Lady Charis DuThar (hot female Sith. :) ) is currently waiting in the wings somewhere.

And don't forget, we still have Colonel Gavin Darklighter and Rogue Squadron out there somewhere.

That's pretty much a who's who of my creations (except for Solo and Darklighter, who came from a much more creative mind than mine).

I think we have to just get through this insane lull we're in, and get some excitement back in this thread. I'll do some posting tonight to help us move past the Yavin meetings, and get some movement on Endor.

QC, I like the idea about the battle and the refugees. If nothing else, it'll bring some closure for some of the people who escaped with Raine. I think Mached V would be the perfect world. It's fertile, and basically abandoned.

Orlanth, how many characters do you have now? Three Jedi? Will they all have active, or supporting roles? Let us know what you had in mind...

And SweetP. DOn't just sit there looking pretty, and being quiet. ;) Let's here some ideas.

Mogo and Orin can both be good for that, once we get them back to Yavin. Since Orin mostly just follows Mogo around anyway. Haven't had much to do with him since whoever made him left him to us.
We might want to consider some Jedi branching off from D'Rack's Order, perhaps because they wish to support the Republic and the Council hasn't approved of this yet. That'd give us a better angle to get more things going on at once. Part of the problem here seems to be (in my viewpoint) that we're almost spread too thin. It's less that we have no direction to go, or too many possibilites, but that we've got too many responsibilities. Too much ground to cover and in too many directions. It helps that we've got eight thousand characters (apiece) though. lol
I'm building on the following grounds:

Nurrell (the Captain of the pirates in Mached) is eventually going to show up in a battle and save someone. Many of his strengths lie in his droid technology, which is domprised of past bots he's managed to restore or patch together with others. His manpower is mostly workers. He has mining colonies set up. Both legal and illegal money coming in, though the illegal is what makes him stronger. We can use this to our advantage. These mines can be providing materials needed to build more ships and so forth, once he's involved in the Republic more.

We also have to post that the entire Galaxy will be going to war, meaning that more than just the Jedi are going to be affected. That gives us more leanance when we need to take regular citizens and turn them into soldiers, which seems inevitable in my viewpoint.

Just some thoughts.

I have 3 Jedi:

Jedi Padwan Tra Shin

Jedi Knight Sara Nosh

Jedi Master D'Rack Fran'tok

I'm not sure about Tra. I'm thinkingof killing him off in ther war; but hae him back up D'Rack untill he goes.

Sara, will I'm thinking of making her and D'Rack a little closier, but still have it no where nere sexual. She'll also be with D'Rack, and make her D'Rack's righthand.

D'Rack, leader of the Jedi defense, and maybe ofensive force. I think I may have a way for him to gain back respect and loyalty of all the Jedi.... So I'mnot going to rule out being the leader.

None of my chars are perfict, as they all hve their weak point.

I'll post today (after I take care of some 'real world' stuff). At least something to get things going. Lets keep up the discussion, though, guys.

Sorry to sound so negative about your ORP, but in over a year of this going on, there doesnt seem to be much progress to it.

You keep repeating your characters, what they are, can do, background, but there is no substance to a story whatsoever!!

Like i said, sorry to sound negative, but at this rate, the story wont actually get finished till well into the next decade!!

Also, some of the characters are poor.

There is too much reference to the original trilogy - namely two that stick out - a decendant of Lando Calrisian and a Darth Vader clone.

Its just too obvious and lazy to add too much reference to the previous stories.

The Vader clone just wouldnt work at all.
Vader was the man when he was in the suit, not before.
Before he was in the suit, he was Anakin Skywalker, so if there was going to be a clone before he got all the damage, he wouldnt be known as Darth Vader!

Just a couple of points out of many i'd like to make.

Im gonna get totally ripped apart for even considering writing these things, but i felt they had to be said!

The clone was Palpatine, not Vader. :)

And I don't mind the critisism. I have to admit, though... I'm surprised anyone was reading this.
