OOC: Star Wars - Episode VIII: The New Threat

Yeah QC that was my character.

As to planets, well, there are lots, uh, I would say Mrkyr, if the Dracuurians know anything about the force (does Mrkyr exist?) simply because who would not expect Jedi to go to a place where their powers do not function?

Other places? um, I can't think of any that aren't populated, maybe Honoghr? (do the Nogri exist???)

I dunno, I guess my ideas aren't that great becuase well, I have no idea what exists and what doesn't.

The Jedi would still need to trian, so force using is a must.

whoops, I meant would, noone would expect them to go to Myrkr. True, training is a must, but the chance Myrkr gives is one that would force them not to rely on the force nearly as much. Also it will give them a force blindness that many have not experienced. Of course the leaves are useful because of the high metal content means good intereference. Worse comes to worse, I think we can set them up in an asteroid.

You know . . . that's a good idea. Sending Jedi to Myrkr to hone their skills, and forcing them to rely on their other attributes, besides the Force.

It would be a temporary assignment, of course.

Or we could just import some Ysalamiri, and transport them aboard a vessel of some kind to be used as a training ground.

Noghri dp exist. Which would mean so does Honoghr.

Tynan ran into some of them back when he was a bounty hunter. He learned some hand to hand from them.

Just keep putting out ideas. If anything has been covered, we'll let you know. If we just brainstorm, it might spark something.

I was thinking more as an established base somewhere in the middle of the forest. Having a group of children and adults training there at all times, and having rotations. So the Jedi are always moving, being shipped from a two or three bases. Also on Myrkr they can learn about the darkside of the force (or of themselves, which in the book is what the dark side of the force is described as sorry if I ruined something for you) and other things. Transporting Ysalamiri I think would be a little weird, but it would probably work better. Keeping Ysalamiri in ships, and having kids and adults alike training on the ships. As well on a very live planet. I like Mon Cal in terms of actual force potential and rejuvenation. It would provide lots of strength if the Jedi were ever attacked. There are many other worlds, Ryloth would be one nice one, warrior culture there is very deep too, and the wilds of Ryloth can be very good training considering how hot and deadly it is. cant think of any other places right now. Outer rim, hahaha, it'd be funny if we hid in the Kuat Drive Yards, or Thyferra.

I've been drinking...

and it's after 3 here, so...

I was thinking that we might be able to find some use for the old base on Hoth, from rotj. It might still be functional enough to be used, but I might have mentioned Hoth already in my dealings with Respito and Balle (and Caiben raille, who will be needing something to do soon). I'll have to look back, and I probably already said this and the alcohol is affecting my memory.

Anyway, I think the brainstorming is helping thus far. We need to keep this vibe moving.

The Dark Side thing is one of Tynan's beliefs. He doesn't believe that there is a Light Side and Dark Side per se. He thinks it's what we do with the Force that makes it Light or Dark. The Force is all, and is in everything. We are the Dark ones. We are the ones who use the power for Evil. Power corrupts. The Force is just a tool that can aid in that corruption.

Anger and fear are normal emotions. Not Dark. As long as you don't let them control your actions . . . or act out in them, then you're okay. Everyone loses their temper. Not everyone destroys a planet because of it. :)

As for Myrkr, that's exactly what I meant. A rotating base of operations. People would be temporarily assigned to it for specific training, then rotated out.

Or having the Ysalimiri onboard a cruiser, and using it as a training vessel od sorts.

Anyone else have any input?

How about using one of the Super Star Destroyers or a Star Destroyer as a mobile Training base?

( yes I'm alive, but friggin World of Warcraft is addictive!!!!!!!!!!!)

The Jedi Fleet has 1x Super Star Destroyer and 3x Star estroyers. So one of those could be for force trianing.

(I haven't tried WoW yet, been to hocke up on Half-Life 2)

The Republic might be willing to allow the Skywalker to be used for the short term, but it would definitely not be a permanent fixture. It's too important a strategic craft.

But a modified Star Destroyer, or a Mon Cal Cruiser might work for some sort of mobile base.

Oh, and my addiction is Knights of the Old Republic II, currently. :)

I had a choice, Halo 2 (X-Box)< SW: KOTOR 2 (X-Box), SW: KTOR 2 (PC), or Half-Life 2 (PC)

Knights is good. I recommend it.

I figured I'll try Jedi first, and then go Sith second.

:)

With KOTOR 1, I didn't like how most of the battle didn't need input from me, that is what made me to not get KOTOR 2.

Yeah, that was a bit of an issue. But the stiryline is supposed to be amazing.

KOTOR 1 was also quite boring.

The next 2 games I'll bu will be DOOM 3 for my X-Box and the DOOM 3 Expension Reseraction of Evil for the PC.

lol *shaking head @ you guys* I am thinking that these are system games and not ideas on where to take the Jedi next? ;)

Any solution yet to this dilemma?

Apprently there is a new SW game coming out at fall of 2005 in the USA. It's an RTS, so look out Battlegrounds!

Name is Star Wars Empre at War.

Cool. RTS? I never understand all these abbreviations lol I've never gotten into playing a lot of games but I still have my Blizzard favorites and play them often. I used to play many on battlenet but those i played with stopped. its a shame too, I made some awesome starcraft maps. its been so long since i played anything other than Diablo2 even that has grown boring. So this new game be PC or game system?

Yes, this is all perfect. In hiding out, the Jedi train carefully, learning all the inside tricks and cheats to winning at Doom and Diablo. Why didn't we think of this months ago?

Paen, check you inbox.

Oh, and I have the first KOTOR, but for some reason, my PC can't find one of the files to load it. Anyone have any idea as to why this might be. Bear in mind I'm about computer literate enough to turn it on, and if I try real hard, turn it back off.

check which file it is, and put it in the SWKOTOR folder, and well if that doesn't work, reinstall it.

WoW is a MMORPG.

Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game.

As such, there are many people who run the servers and keep them bug free, then there is programers which add things to the game, to stop it getting boring. Those people needs to be paid. WoW can also have recharge cards to extend your play time, so you don't need to pay online via credit card.

But yes, they shoulde have told you it was pay to play before you brought it.
