OOC: Street Fighter – Strung By Fate [PM if interested]

Afraid so, I'm not going to be on to post too much.

Ah, Sagat. Now there's a Shadaloo guy I can respect. Glad to have him. The asshole. ;) And the ever sassy Karin, ah, lovely.

I'll try to post once or twice this weekend, but I'm afraid I probably won't be abe to do more than that.

I don't play... but as a spectator... mmm... my humble opinion is.... Method 2 is very interesting... :)

A third method could be... throwing a dice! Masume could throw it! =p And if anyone wants to be a witness she could use a virtual one! =p There's plenty of dice scripts for IRC! :D I used them to play Legend of the five rings online... Or well someone out of the RP could do it! After all, not playing, he or she would be impartial lol! :D I think Method 2 is the best tho! :)

Sorry I haven't gotten into the thread yet, much like Fenix, I've been moving.

This weekend's going to be kind of sparse post-wise for me, but I'll at least get Cammy into the picture.

I trust Masume well enough that either of her two methods are good by me. Method 1 seems easier and honestly, less contentious. Masume has a plot in mind, and I think that we should accept a role as players in her story. If she says I lose a fight, then I will.

I think masume should decide on an outcome, then let the players take turns posting for the fight until they agree to bring it to a close.

Just my two cents.

well, real role playing is reactionary....the fights should be the same...i never went in for all those T1, T2, and other fighting rules. If i take a swing at someone, it's up to them whether they dodge or not

Jade-san does have a point on method one, actually. If Masume already has a plot in mind... It would be the best method! Easier and Quicker too!

Razor: it depends... it could go on forever that way. If no one wants to lose... And posts would become a line each... Every move needs a post and a post in answer...

this is true.....it would take multiple swings in each post to make it effective....

Every fight would become 100 posts! =p
So those 2 methods by Masume are still the best! :)

i'd have to say i prefer the first one then....the second one i've never heard of, and i doubt i would do well in it XP

you can bet the guy playing Dan is gonna complain <<
YEAH! Dan may be a wanker and he may wear pink, but... wait, what else was he called?

LMAO....i personally think Dan was a stupid character...he considered himself Ken's student during Alpha.....that's when Ken came back with a true Flaming Dragon Punch

I have done the E-fed's and I like them better. Saves power tripping. In the reactionary posts people can get this mad hate on for I don't lose I just get up and you end up with some ridiculous fights. Used to happen before. So I use the E-Fed method on a site I moderate for that.

However I'm cool with either one and I don't mind a loss. Sagat may but all in all I don't mind too much. Heck if it's well played and it mkaes some sense. I don't mind If Dan goes all the way.

Now um I'll be in the first matches on this weekend if you want. If it is E-fed which is better for time, I'll attempt to get this all on by monday.

If not Whoever is my opponent will be responsible for E-mailing me the time for the fight and working it to a mutual Schedule. Then Post by Post and Time limit is well determined by host Masume. Though in a Post by Post I almost want to say You have a 99 minute time limit.

These are just some of my suggestions.

(Thread relation: I did help her up. Likely Sagat would have picked her up by the skull and put her down, But I did help Karin up. And calmly. So like nicely)

Well he was a joke character. Never meant to actually be used.

And I used everyone in the games. It was a lot of fun. Though I think Rolento Vega and Ryu (Especially Evil) are probably the best characters. Guy, Ken, Akuma, Sagat, and Sakura second Tier.

Though In classic Matches Balrog is a monster like you cannot believe. I seriously think they gave people Super Arts just to compete with Him and Bison Originally.

Concerning joke characters... Akuma was one too at first... Or better... let me explain... Once upon a time there used to be a legend about one of Ryu's winning speeches "You must defeat Shen Long to stand a chance"... Actually it was a mistranslation... as Shen Long is the chinese for the Shoryuken... So Ryu meant that you had to beat his Dragon Punch (Shoryuken) to stand a chance... But some made up the story that Shen Long was actually a char that would come out suddenly and kill Bison (Bison called Vega in the jap version)... Later on... they created Akuma that did just that in SSF2! :D

Yup. And dragged his soul to hell.

I also remember the impossible challenge that I think EGM (Electronic Gaming Monthly) set up in order to get Shen Long to appear.

Double KO with Bison for ten rounds straight. Then get a time out. Then beat Bison. Shen Long will appear. If you double K.O him twice then Bison will get up again to be knocked out.

Oddly Ken keeps looking more and more like the joke image of Shen Long they put up.

Just needs to go gray now.

Yeah! :D

Think that at the time... Not having internet nor anything... I wondered too who or what Shen Long was... but for some reason... After a while I got the impression it was the DP, as I was thinking about it carefully!

I just thought about the story... At first I thought it was Ryu's master... but there was no Shen Long... mentioned anywhere else... And Ryu's most famous move was the shoryuken that he used to beat Sagat... so I got some doubts that he meant that then... Also cause that move was thought to be unbeatable! Plus I knew that Shen Long was a mythological dragon... :D So I linked everything... Of course I kept having the doubt about which of my two theories was the right one... Until later on... :)

Oh well. Personally I'm surprised Sagat has so little story in the games. I mean really he's been in a lot. But all the threads of his life. End. They just stop. It's kind of odd. I mean he has more than balrog, But so little is actually known about Sagat.

I'm kinda enjoying the freedom. And history with Dan. Oh yes there will be blood.

So do we have a Vega yet or is 8 the limit?

he's very key in most of the anime.....Ryu got his reputation by beating Sagat....in II V, Sagat points them towards India and Dhalsim, where Ryu learned how to use the Hadou-Ken

True. He's in every game. But he's almost never Key. And while II V(ictory) was damned cool I don't count any of it as canon. Sagat in pretty much every game is a loner, and honestly not too important. Though a lot of things come back to him.

Ryu, Adon, Dan, Bison, pretty much all of Alpha 1 and 2. Unless you played a final fight character.

But I suppose in V he is kinda useful. But In either movie, He's there only because he's in the game. And I'm not even sure he's in Alpha the movie. Which is kinda disgraceful.

Not complaining I just think It's neat how much freedom I erally have playing a stock character.
