Sorry it took so long to post, got caught up with work and a few other things :(

SO came home feeling sick so I probably won't be able to post at all tonight. Its also our anniversary so we were planning a bonfire for later.

Its apparently not a big deal. No flowers or a card for me.

I got up early and made scrambled eggs for breakfast and gave him a card. we went to lunch sans child on sunday but thats it. I guess i should lower my expectations.

Last year I didn't get anything for V Day or our anniversary. So...I promise im not an ungrateful bitch. Its just becoming a pattern.

I'm sorry to hear that :( Shame on the SO for being an unthoughtful douche. And yes, I do mean that seriously.

Eric and Tess are openly revealing they're together and eating Pizza with DJ behind the bar and he doesn't notice the 6'4 230 lbs biker? lol

My post was supposed to be a follow up for when Tess came down. If I'm ignoring Tess, I'm going to be ignoring what she's doing?

Even the man that's helping build his 20k bike, the one he wants to help build?

DJ didn't know Eric was building his bike. He figured Wolf would be doing it. It's not like DJ knows everyone who works at Wolf's shop.

Remember this?

DJ looked over the bikes, before realizing he found what he wanted as he followed Eric back to the catalogs. DJ smiled when he saw Tess, before writing down the parts he could remember, and looking the rest up in the catalogs Eric showed him.. He groaned when he realized just how much this bike would cost. After writing everything down, he figured he'd want a cruiser rather than a street bike. He had never really been a big fan of the plastic look.

"Okay, so I'm looking at a 124" Evo style S&S engine, on something like a chopper frame. I'd like an oversized gas tank, possibly even two, with the other under the seat. I'd like standard electronics, heavier brakes to withstand the more powerful engine, a suicide shifter, an adjustable throttle, and probably that package you have with the bike you showed me where we can tune it with an iPad," he said. He thought for a minute. "Matte black finish, no chrome, cerakote the piping in a matte black finish so it doesn't scratch, 3 spoked front wheel, 22" wheels, with the standard front and back width. A better shock system than normal. The bikes I used to ride needed them to be able to carry me over some of the shit I rode across," he said, finishing the list and handing it back to Eric.

"I'd like it custom built by Eugene. I know what he's capable of, and he has a really good reputation. Don't sweat the cost either, and I'll probably stop in to help, if that's okay. Bikes have always been a second love of mine," DJ said, smiling at Eric before stepping back, hoping he hadn't just overloaded the man with information.

I understand that. DJ wasn't thinking Eric was building bikes. He figured he was either the shop clerk, or someone helping out. It wasn't something clearly stated, so DJ wasn't like, "OH! He's building my bike!"

This is why I opened the OOC thread for Secrets so everyone can get on the same page.

That doesn't mean that our characters suddenly know everything we talk about. Otherwise you all would have known right away DJ was kidnapped and forced to fight to the death for 10 years. Instead, DJ thought the motorcycle shop was just like every other shop, that had a shop clerk.

Plus, if you are annoyed with someone, and wanting to ignore them, or not "Deal with their shit", you don't really pay attention to them, or what they are up to. The night before angered DJ as well as Tess, so he isn't dealing with it. That's all.

yeah an anniversary at least deserves your favorite thing be it candy, chocolate, flowers, the one little treat they know is your soft spot.

And a card...Definitely a card.

Thanks Secrets!

The lunch was at our favorite (expensive) seafood place but still, womby's right a card is a necessity.

My S/O and I haven't celebrated our one year anniversary (dating)- we both march drum corps (it's how we met) and we couldn't exactly just ditch practice to go somewhere to eat. But we won't be able to celebrate our 2 year at all, I'll be doing drum corps and he'll be in basic training. :/

I've been unhappily married for 37 years and I never forget anything. In fact, I'm a romantic and frequently do over the top stuff, like on Valentine's Day during year 30 I gave her a bouquet for 30 red heart-shaped Barley Sugar Lollipops. They are only available from a store in Vermont. And that's for someone I don't really like!
