OOC: X-Men

~ducks and coveres getting pelted with comic books~ I was just kidding. You didnt need to change your post.

Its was alright that she saw Sinister so long as she didnt tell everyone that that's where he was going. With Sinister in so much of Gambit's past it would have been hard to tell.

~Blows kiss to Ithica  ~
You know I still loves ya.

Well, I'm not changing it back. And I wouldn't have told anyone about Sinister.

Hey Rogue, Gambit's having dirty thoughts about Sinister. hehehe.

I'll forgive you both if you cut me some slack next time I mess up, or you both strip and do a sexy dance. :nana:

Hey now lets not get too selfish. And no that isnt a dancing banana im just happy to see ya. :nana:

*big green eyes at Gambit* You're feeling what towards Sinister?
*sniffles*
No wonder things never work between us!

Okay not really.

And yes, I know full well that Psylocke's name is Betsy. However, Fatale let Rouge call her Beth. Which showed Rogue it wasn't Pyslocke.
So now Betsy gets to go all upper class, don't get my name wrong, flygirl on Rouge.

well, I think my part is done for this sl.

What happens to Fantomex and Havok will become apparent later.

When I do finally post Psylocke going "upperclass, don't get my name wrong, flygirl on Rogue" (I love that), it's going to be good. I'm looking up British slang right now to do it.

Well, that's the best I can do. I looked back and Psylocke read Gambit before in this thread and no one went all geeky. Arg.

I took liberties with saying that she could sense Cable now because there was no mention that she could when he was talking to her on the ship. Cable, I looked it up, is telepathic as well so there should have been something. If you can come up with something or an argument against it Shaq, I'll fix my post. But just so you know, it changes nothing so far.

I will be keeping Psylocke for the next sl. But I'm thinking that if we want more people to join maybe we shouldn't be able to take over more than one well known character. Maybe it should be a well know character and a not so well known. Or a well known and a villian. But I guess it depends on if more people show an interest. Just a thought.

Cable I think is a very good choice for a character cause he's open to interpretation.

My own personal approach, whether it is rp or even those who write the characters professionally, is 75% is fixed, 25% interpretation. J.D is probably the best example.

Gambit's fixed stuff is: He's a thief, Ladies man, Has kinetic based powers, suspicious past

Interpretation: Prefers the eye charging, darts, not quite peachy with the X-Men.

If Dragon keeps Cable like I think he will for the next sl (Good choice, I'm liking the potential leadership clash with Havok, Storm and the rest of the senior X-Men) he's got some decent options cause I'd say roughtly 40% of Cable is fixed and the other 60% is open to interpretation including his powers.

Technically Psylocke sensing anyone's mind won't be totally incorrect.

As a base rule, telepaths can sense the minds of other telepaths UNLESS they are cloaking their minds.

It should be noted though, that even if telepaths can sense someone's mind doens't mean they can influence it or read it.

Gambit, Wolverine and even Rogue to an extent, can have their minds detectible to a telepath but they can be very difficult to control.

Even Fantomex's mind Jean was able to sense, but when she tried to read it all she saw was rose petals.

Similar to creations like the Phalanx, who could be sensed but not manipulated.

The difference between Gambit and Wolverine versus Fantomex and Cable is that the latter two could block their minds not only from influence but detection if they wanted to.

So Fantomex on his ship blocked his mind from Betsy, Cable didn't.

Just to recall Ithica, do you remember the reason Fantomex gave for blocking his mind?

It has to do with something that Dragon said.

Dragon (as Cable) said he was coming back from the future because Wizard was infected with a disease by Sinister and his death caused a near worldwide anhilation.

As of now, Wizard was infected with a disease by Fantomex and the Dark Beast not Sinister.

He hasn't been killed.

So the timeline has changed because of Fantomex's interference.....

The question is WHY???

NOTE: My mentioning most things like, Psylocke being able to read Gambit's mind is pretty minimal. X-Writers make way bigger mistakes than that on a constant basis. One of the worst X writers ever Chuck Austin just a few years ago had a scene where Polaris pulled a Magma and went crazy at her wedding and stopped the bloodflow to the brains of a hundred gathered superheroes in attendance.

Magneto, along with Pro X arguably the most skilled mutant ever not to mention powerful, fought the X-Men how many times and never could do that or he would have.

His crowning achievment was when he had Havok, Iceman, Rogue, and Polaris by THEMSELVES beat Exodus, Juggernaut, Black Tom, Blob and someone else.

Neglecting the fact that Exodus alone once battled about 12 X-Men (Blue and Gold team from the early 90s) and the Avengers to a statlemate. So inconsistency happens. If it's something that totally goes against convention I'll mention it, otherwise I'm just doing it to be cheeky:D

On another note, that does look like the conclusion of the current sl.

J.D wanted the thread to get off the first page before starting another but I don't think that will happen anytime soon unless we bump all the other threads as we get ready to launch the new one.

It won't be too long and it will continue shortly after this sl concluded.

It could take a long time for the thread to get moved to the second page. I think the closest one to go is 15 days old.

If there are one of us involved in the other threads we could speed things up. Or we could get dragonrazor to edit his post to include a "to be continued".

I can bump at least 4 threads. hehehe.

My work is done Bwahahahah!

Ok im back. Had to work the past two days and was pretty tired afterwards. Im going to post my final post on the Thread tomorrow between Sinister and Gambit, then Ill be done.

Shaq do we want to have the thread end there or have Havok call the "team" On the X-coms and tell them the consequences? Or are we saving that for the begining of the Next thread?

So far we talked about the "hub" Idea, but are we gonna just stick with it for a bit IC to establish characters or are we gonna start another mission?

We can start the OOC Hub now if everyone is ready. Did you want to post the OOC or do you want me to Shaq?

Vix whenever youre ready we can start our CLosed thread for Rogue and Gambit.

I'll make a post as Havok (who I'll adopt FT at the start of the next thread) detailing what happened when he called the other team of X-Men.

That post will explain the position of the team at Xavier's in relation to the others and set the stage for what

The specifics of the consequences I think its best to save for the start of the hub.

J.D, you can post the OOC and Casting Call for it. I think the hub is a good place to establish the characters and also explain some of the new dynamics (training, team leaders, mission/mansion distinction). Just explaing what the hub is and how it works is something we can incorporate IC somehow I think.

It may take some getting used to so while we pick up characters and play out soem of the consequences (Storm's disease, the Germantown massacre, Wizard's KO gas) we should have the 1st mission ready when those finish playing out.

if anyone can cure Wizard, Sinister can :p that was just a reaction from his powers

Hey Shaq, are you starting the new thread on this thread?

J.D will likely post the OOC and casting call for it today. I decided to post the scene with Havok as a flashback (my how those are starting to become a favorite device of mine) as he returns to the mansion.

The Sinister post is the perfect end to the last sl I think.

*bows*
I'm deeply sorry for being sooo scarce around here the last two weeks or so.
Between totalling one car and buying a new truck, I've been busy as all hell.

Still, things are calming down.

I like the hub idea. Would give a chance to play different characters in different threads.
I think it'd be interesting to play Angel, even though it means playing a guy. Unless someone knows of a non-male wingged character in the Marvel universe.

Alright everyone. This OOC is now Closed and the OOC for the new Thread is open Here.

Hope to see everyone in the new Thread.
