Hey GM, a d20. Haven't heard that in many years. *going to hunt up my old dice pouch*

*smiles sweetly and bats eyelashes*

Ahhh .... but GM .... I *am* a girl who can take it!
(Hell I lurrve to take it!)

::ggls::

And true, that was a weenie bit naughty, but soooo irresistable ...

What can I say? I was only gettin' "in character"!
(Which reminds me ... aren't you supposed to be a good guy?)

And as for that preacher ... ummmm .... teach me! teach me!

:rose:

Good guy? Maybe Anal Brit boy, whom shall die! (Oops. Gave too much away, there.)

But my MAIN character is Salty Dan, and he ain't no good guy. He's a killer, a robber, a pirate, and a mean sob who'll ummm,....well,.....okay, so he doesn't rape! Everyone has their standards!

What language? d20? Burnination?

LOL* Well in tabletop role play dice are used to determine if actions are unsuccessful, sucessful and to what degree either way with a "1" being a critical screwup and a "20" is a critical success for the attempted action or activity.
It brings in the random factor to gaming so it doesn't turn into an "I do this..." "No you can't/didn't because I'm doing/did this... to stop you."
The dice use solves that. You roll appropriately and barely succeed or better or you fail to critically fumble whatever is being tried.

That help DM?

Why are not you people posting?

Must I use my mighty d20?

*Throws his dice at you all to get you to post. Lazybones.*

I would like to join if possible. Not sure what side I would be on atm but, I'll come up with something if I can join. =)

Katalynn, you are very welcome to join us :) If you wish to be a pirate, to even numbers, I think Pooh's boat needs another female. (kind of helps keeping it as even as possible)

Can run the tavern if you choose, or any number of things :)

Up to you, you are welcomed :)

Sp

ps: forgive the assumption, from the av I am asuming you are a woman or wish to write a woman. It's not intentional. Anything you wish to write is ok :)
_____________

Gm, keep your breeches on, this thread isn't gonna fly ya know :D

Aye I am a female hehe. I could deal with being a female pirate. /grin Give me a few to think up a chara. Tavern keeper sounds pretty reasonable.

DM, the dice thing is related to Role playing games Like Dungeons and Dragons. :)

Katalynn, the tavern was dubbed “Heaved High” By one Crafty first mate at the beginning of the thread. If you wish to run it, it's yours :)

Thomas Delaine Has been my captain for as long as I could remember. Found me sneaking onto his ship in my early teens. Pretty much took care of me since. Well for the most part. Letting me work on the ship doing odd jobs. I've seen the crew members come and go over the years, now he was getting a new crew.

Just recently he gave me the tavern. Allowing me to make my own rules for the place. (course the only real rule is no alcohol abusing and no fights inside..... Fights tend to break the first rule.)

Being a pirate for most of my life, nothing surprised me. Took real good care of myself. I looked real petite standing about 5'10, slim yet all muscle figure. Blood red hair to the middle of my back, wrapped in silk scarf to keep it out of the way of my fights. Wearing a leather vest, baggy pants. Pretty much a tom boy. Was able to do anything on the ship that was needed. My words were fighting words. With the right man I was seriously easy to get, though it was hard to find the right one for a good lay. So most the time I was hard to get. Had a stare that tore into your soul when on my bad side with deep blue eyes.

Well with the swords, mainly faught with daggers. Weakness was the fools that stayed on land, they all seemed to know it all and press it onto you.
Other weakness, I kept to myself a lot. Making it hard for anyone to really talk to me, taking my job seriously. All work no play.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Hope this works for a start.. =)
Bilgewater
By my count, our ship has two, count 'em, two red headed pirate wimmen. Harrrrrrrrrrr, makes my mizzen mast stand in the wind.
LOL is your parrot Stiff Subo? ;)
Someone hollar @ patford, she's the only one not checked-in in awhile :)
Lookin' good ;) ummmm pp01 you dont have to stay out to sea the whole time, just you have no juristdiction on the island.. doesnt mean you cant snoop around :D
*thinking* (and it's too early for this lol)
Excellent characters everyone, someone push Thomas off the cliff on their way to have a mug of ale? *grins sweetly*
Brief (as possible) insight
There is too much to cover in the thread past wise, so I will fill in some blanks and questions..
Her "Im not a..." Stopped with that. Whole sentence, "I forgot I'm not a little girl anymore."
basicly think Spoiled untamed brat running around this ship whenever in port. She would purposely use first names for each shipmate she knew instead of their alias's or shorter versions. Hence she called Dan, Daniel. Preach Charles. etc. She did it on purpose. Little queen of the ship syndrome.
Basicly caused alot of mischief and woes. Always in the way always a pain in the arse (hehe) but nothing could be done about it, being she was the captain's daughter. Besides punishing her, just made her do it all the more ;)
Now as to Brian's death. Its hinted at a traitor, as Pooh started with. He wasnt killed for his map but because Brian had paid someone handsomely in the Delaine household to bring him the map. He was killed on his way to get the other half.
This brings up a third party (NPC character/s) which is causing the rift between the two families. :) hope that clears up some confusion (if any)?
To be quite honest, I'm more confused now than I was ever before.
Delaine household? I didn't know Thomas had a household? How many family members does he have? Are they rich? Where did the Delaine's get their half of the map? Who was it that pulled traitor?
Re: understanding
I'm not trying to understand ... hell I had enough problems with the player list!
Just sitting quietly ... drinking and waiting to get my lil ole self into mischief.
Oh hell, umm simpler terms. It isnt true. What Ash learned from her father's final moments isnt reality. Umm Thomas doesnt have anything to do with the death. Nor is there a half of map to purchase. It was a set up.
lol just forget it, obviously it would take way too much information to straighten it out. It's sitting as it is, but nothing is ever what it seems.
Slight alteration to my chara... hehe that's what I get for posting late.
The taven was given to me by my uncle who moved on to better things. He gave it me and I renamed it to "Dragons' Drool" famous for a drink I made up and is very addictive. The tavern is named after that drink. I have a partner that takes care of it when Delaine calls upon me to help with his ship.
*partner, is a very big, burly man. One of those give him one wrong look and your pounded into your grave. Shoulder length raven black hair, earrings covering one ear, the other ear has my birth stone and his, studs. Stand about 6'5 and nothing but muscle. Deep blue eyes like myself, only real thing we have in common as looks are go. Guess what... He's my brother.... Towns folk call him Damon for his real name is to long and hard to remember.
I had met Delaine before I became owner of the tavern... (This is the same as original post) he caught me sneaking on his ship, instead of killing me, he gave me the choice to either die or become a worker. I obviously chose worker and he saw how much I knew and kept me around.
When I became owner of Dragons' Drool, I offered to be on call for whenever Delaine needed me.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Hope this is ok....

For some reason I thought the tavern was on the boat. *Duh* moment hehe. Other than that the chara is the same, girl that like to get into trouble... They say the quiet ones are the ones you need to watch.. /grin
