Anabeth bathed the horses first making sure they were clean and led them back tying them up so they wouldn't run off and quickly made her way back to the river seeing Quinn was undressing and a deep blush flushed her body seeing a man that way. She hadn't seen the front of him but from his back she could tell he was strong.

She slowly undid her armor sliding out of her bladed shirt and body armor. She slid her garments beneath her clothes off as well and stripped bare before she stepped into the river to wash blushing as she thought of Quinn and was unsure of how he felt of her.

Quinn couldn't focus on sharpening his weaponry so he put them up and takes the rest of the armor off leaving on the pants of the suit. He was conflicted about Annabeth and didn't know what was bringing on the feelings he was having about her. He didn't know anything about her personally and they really haven't talk all that much to each other expect about their horses. He gathered up his bed clothes and waited for Annabeth to come back.

He seen that both of the horses were back and thought to himself "she must have snuck back to the camp when I had got my bed clothes... I wonder how long ago she came back?" He walked up to the horses and began petting them while giving them a snack. "Where is your owner girl?" Quinn asked Icy.

Anabeth dressed quickly after her bath in the river and she got dressed in her night clothes. They were feminine but they covered her respectively.

She was groomed properly by the house maids and she was proud of her curves her mother told her not to be ashamed of.

She slid on her sandals and she smiled as walked back seeing Quinn with the horses and she walked over saying " She wasn't any trouble was she ?"she said petting Icy as she got to them and rubbing her head and petting Nightmare as well "I can take over if you want Quinn... I'll stay here with the horses maybe we can scout the area for resources when your finished it's not too cold out and we may need some along the way."

"No she was a good girl. Ok I'll watch them next time we make camp. "Quinn said in a smirk seeing what Anabeth was dressed in He wanted to tell her how beautiful she looked but he didn't know how she would take the compliment. He grabs his bag and his long sword before he left to take his bath. Once he got to the river he couldn't help but to think about Anabeth. He wanted to tell her how he felt but he also didn't want to make the quest uncomfortable in any way.

He quickly got bathed so he would make Anabeth wait too long for him. He got dressed and he put on his armored boots back on seeing how if he was at home he would go barefoot.


He hurried to the campsite so they could do some scouting around. "Anabeth I'm back ready to go scouting?"

Anabeth smiled as he had came back to where she was. She had seen nightmare falling asleep and Icy sat and fell asleep shortly after . She sat atop icy to keep her calm and kept an eye on nightmare.

She climbed carefully off of her horse and told him to wait for her shortly coming back with a small bag and a sword and her small knife and smiled saying "Ok Quin now I'm prepared"she said walking with him.

As they walked along she found some plants the could use for medicine and grabbed some rocks they could use to preserve their fire. She had also found sugar cane to feed the horses and an fruit tree they could get from.

She smiled seeing him pass glances at her and she blushed doing the same when he wasn't looking. She knew it wasn't ladylike but she couldn't help but say "Pardon my prying Quinn but you aren't wed are you? I just wouldn't feel comfortable sharing a bed with a man that is spoken for"

Quinn looks at Anabeth and says "no I not wed to anyone the life I have doesn't seem to keep women around long enough for that." He give her a grin then says "also the clan that raised me had a unwritten rule about marriage... don't marry any woman who can't pick up a sword to defend home and child."

He grew up in a clan of warriors and the women were treated with respect mainly because they could break someone's nose or arm. The women often help in the training as well.


He wondered if she was someone's wife. He didn't want to cross any lines seeing how they are going to share a tent. He could also feel her stealing glances at him when he wasn't looking.


"Are you wed to anyone yourself?" Quinn figured the time for manners was over seeing how Anabeth just asked the same question. He hoped that she wasn't because of the feelings he was having would end up being a wast. He also wondered why she was setting on Icy as the horse set but that was a question for latter.

Annabeth blushed looking over at him and said " No I am not actually Quinn... My father wants me to marry someone he sees fit or arrange something though I can't say I'm too interested about that way. I prefer finding someone who intrigues me and is my equal and not to stay at home cleaning chambers and having babes constantly"she said blushing knowing she may have said a bit too much but she felt he wouldn't tell anyone of their conversation.

"I have 5 older brothers Quinn all of them are we'd and I like all of their wives but I'm not like a traditional woman... I like action and adventure and I spar juts as hard as my brothers if not a little better because I always had to prove them wrong. ". She smiled and looked over at him.

She looked at down seeing a root they could use on the arrows that temporarily paralyzed a man she head learned medicine from a white witch and some from her mother so she was fairly good at it . It was a hard root to cut and she hadn't wanted to soil her sleepwear she looked at him saying "Would yo mind cutting it? Make sure not cut not pull of the toxin enters your skin your temporarily paralyzed."

Quinn got down on his knees to cut the root not saying a word to Anabeth. He made sure none of the roots juices had gotten on him before he gave it to her."why were you setting on top of your horse when it was asleep?"


He couldn't help noticing her beauty he wanted to take her right there but refrained from doing so because she might not feel the same way."What kind of guy would your father approve of someone like me?" He wanted to see if she would say anything to the affect of how she felt about him.

Anabeth smiled as he questioned why she was on top of Icy while she slept "It's sort of our ritual.. when she was younger she never used to sleep unless I was near her so I sat next to her when she lay next to me in the stable and she always calmed and went to sleep.

She looked up at him as he asked what kind of man her father would approve of and she smirked saying "He might Quinn although he always test anyone he tries suiting me with and I test them as well Quinn you've passed some of the qualities I'd like in a suitor "she blushed

"You know Icy may have went to bed by herself seeing how her lover was there." He stated. "What are the tests I have to pass?" Quinn asked wanting to know more. He took the fact she was blushing as the fact she may have feelings for him as well. He wanted to wait and tell her that he wanted to date her until he was sure that she felt the same way. "You look stunning by the way." he said to her.


He waited for her to answer him so he could know of what tests he was being put under. The only test she was going to be put under by him was the fact if she could fight or not.

Anabeth smiled knowing that might have happened but she was used to it as much as Icy was. Quinn asked what tests he had to pass and she grinned seeing he might possibly want to be her suitor. She blushed at his compliment and thanked him and she looked at him and said " what I look for is good chemistry between us...he has to be able to protect me and provide for me as I would for him, my family has to respect him as well,he must ask my father for my hand and he has to be just as in love with me as I am with him"she smiled

"As for my father's...he chooses how he wants to test my suitor"

Quinn looked over in confusion and asked her " What kind of test does your father have on of your suitors?" He wondered what kind of test her father had. "What happens if you fall for someone on a quest you're on with them?" He asked wondering if he could profess his feelings for her. He wanted to walk up to her and kiss her. He hoped that he could pass all the tests her and her family could throw at him.Quinn also hoped that Nightmare and Icy stayed asleep and didn't get ant ideas while they are gone.Quinn began to think if in fact he gets Anabeth's hand Nightmare would be in heaven seeing how he could live with Icy.


He didn't know what else she wanted to find but he didn't mind spending time with her.

Anabeth smiled answering him and said" He just really checks if a man would do anything for me if I needed it simple little tests and all. If I do fall for someone my father most likely won't allow me on quests anymore and want to meet the man who captured my heart because like Icy I can be a stubborn woman.

She ran her fingers through her hair and looked at him saying the obvious " Quinn are you thinking of being my suitor?"she blushed liking him more than any other knight her father had tried pairing her with but the fact that she was untouched seemed to be the only thing on their mind and she blushed.

Quinn couldn't hide it anymore he began to blush for the first time in his life and answered " yes Anabeth I was thinking about it but you still have to pass one of my tests first." He walked over to her and caressed her cheek and gave her a kiss on the cheek. "Don't worry I know that you haven't been touched before and I haven't as well besides a few unexpected kisses from some of the ladies I help... still not sure why they kissed me. I will repect your maidenhood snd wait till I ask your father for your hand unless you have other plans."


"We better head back to the camp before the two other lovers wake up and take off trying to find us." He said still caressing her cheek and giving her a playful smile. "I guess I have next horse watch when we make camp next." he said to her.

Anabeth blushed as he kissed her cheek and he mentioned knowing that she was untouched but when he had mentioned he was as well it did shock her a bit he hadn't known a woman's body as handsome as he was. She smiled glad he was going to respect that until he asked for her hand and she shook her head as he asked if she had other plans.

She nodded grabbing the bag of goods and the secret root weapon and followed him back to camp smiling seeing nightmare moved a bit closer to Icy and the two slept. She yawned feeling the same as they set up the small blankets in the shelter he made and she climbed in falling asleep.

Quinn couldn't help but to chuckle to himself when he seen Nightmare. had moved closer tp Icy. He got out some blankets for then to sleep on and under. before Quinn went to sleep he dug out a blanket he had made out of a bear he had killed hunting and placed it near Anabeth in case she would get cold during the night.

Quinn was having trouble sleeping and when he finally opened his eyes he seen Anabeth's arm was peeking out from under her blanket so he gave a sly grin before he grabbed her hand and held it. He wondered how she would react when she woke up the next morning
He could feel himself start to doze off again and before he knew it he was asleep with her hand in his.

Annabeth shivered slightly in her sleep tucking under the blanket and something warmer which was the blanket Quinn had placed there and sighed comfortably. She woke up the next to him with him holding her hand and she smiled softly.

She slowly removed her hand from his and lightly tapped him and looked at him studying his features "Quinn...Wake up. .. We should get ready to continue the journey it's nearly sunrise"she said

Quinn could feel how cold it was during the night and figured Anabeth was happy he got out the other blanket for her before he went to sleep. He felt Anabeth remove her hand from his and when she tapped on his shoulder trying to get him up.


He just lays there before asking in a sleepy tone with his eyes still closed "why did you remove your hand?" He was trying his best to convince her he was still asleep. He could feel a smile begin to creep across his face.

Anabeth grinned as he asked why she removed her hand " I was going to head off to wash in the river and dress again... I wasn't going to wake you but I figured I should before I headed off" she said stretching lightly.

She blushed seeing him slowly open his eyes and she kissed his cheek " Thank you for the blanket Quinn " she smiled

"You're welcome... I guess I have horse duty?"Quinn asked setting up and stretching.He just sets there for a bit admiring Anabeth for a bit not wanting to get up but he knew he had to. He gets out of the tent with her.


Quinn could see that the horses were up and he walked over to them and began to pet them.

Anabeth smiled finding it nice waking up with Quinn. She grabbed her armor to dress in and she headed down to the river for a quick wash and got dressed back heading back so he could do the same.

Icy galloped over to her when she got back and smiled brushing her head " Morning Girl" she said grabbing Icy's armor getting her prepared as well and getting Nightmare prepared as well.

She loaded the armor and their things and waited for Quinn to return.

After Anabeth left to wash up he went into the tent to pack everything of his up and got dressed in his armor. He heard that Anabeth was back so he started to take down the tent. "You know it may get colder as we go on so you may have to sleep under the same cover that you slept under last night with me." He stated giving her a playful smile.


Quinn packs up the tent then gets Nightmare's armor on him so that they can make some more distance before night falls again. He gets on to of Nightmare and ask Anabeth " are you ready to ride?"@

Anabeth nodded and got on top of Icy as he asked her if she was ready to go. She looked over at him smiling and said " Yes Quinn I'm ready" she blushed seeing him eye her armor and extra clothing knowing it would get colder as they moved along.

She patted Icy's neck and she began moving forward with nightmare right on her trail as they moved along. She smiled thinking she and Quinn would have no problem breeding them once icy was ready.

Quinn Nightmare ride at his own pace to see if he would catch up on his own to Icy. After a little bit of time Nightmare caught up to her nuzzling against her once again . This time though Quinn made sure to move his leg so that it wouldn't rub against Anabeth's leg.


He let Nightmare continue to nuzzle himself against Icy and Quinn would even reach over and pet Icy from time to time. Quinn wanted to give Anabeth a kiss but was afraid of falling off of his horses while he done so.

Anabeth smiled seeing Icy's behavior toward Nightmare and vice versa and was happy her girl had been so alert and calm this morning . She also noticed Quinn had warmed to her as well.

She blushed thinking about being with Quinn intimately and she held his gaze for a second before clearing her throat and telling him they should stop and eat a mile up she knew an inn that cooked and usually stopped for something fast during her travels.
