Opposites turned lovers (closed)

Anabeth smiled giving him a thankful look and the warmth that she felt from his hand was great as well "Thank you.. The cave is just up ahead.. We can start a fire there."

Quinn only gave her a smile back. Anabeth didn't need to say thank you because she was his lover even though they weren't married yet. He rode alongside her in case she needed something else from him.

They got the the cave opening and she rode icy in to get out of the cold and Quinn and nightmare followed. She wrapped herself tighter in the cloak knowing they had to wait til night to make the arrest.

She tied icy so she couldn't wander out of the cave then quickly looked for stones so they could start a fire. She also said " We should go hunt for some meat and fruit so we can eat better than the bread we had this morning.. We'll need more energy"

Quinn quickly unwrapped his bow and said "your lesson in hunting starts today so get yourself ready so we can go." He gave her a kiss and a hug before he handed Anabeth the bow and quiver. He wanted to see if she had any skills with the bow or was he going to have to teach her to shoot one as well. He didn't care if they had to eat bread again for dinner he just wanted to show her he trusted her.

Anabeth blushed and said "I know how to catch small things.. Foul and rabbit... I've never hunted big game ..my father and brothers thought it was too dangerous."she readied the bow with some plant to numb the animals nerve and followed him so they could hunt.

Quinn took Anabeth to a clearing and said "when you shoot a deer you want to aim behind there shoulder so you can pierce the lungs and maybe the heart. If you do that we won't have to track the animale for a long distance because the animal will eithe bleed out and die or sufficate and die." He put his hand on her shoulder and gave her a smile telling her that he believed in her.

Anabeth smiled at him listening to his advice on how to kill a deer and where to shoot and thought that was a quick effective kill. She watched out for any animals and told him " We have to get rid of leftovers otherwise we'll attract beats."

Quinn looked over qt Anabeth and said "we need to worry about getting something first be we may get something small enough that we will eat all of the usable meat." He sat there and caressed her cheek for a bit before giving her a peck on the lips.

Anabeth smiled and nodded following his instruction and after waiting a few moments she spotted a quail. She focused and shot at it and stares at Quinn " was that ok?" She asked seeing she shot the bird.

Quinn only smiled and nodded before he said "yes but we are going to need something a little bigger to feed both of us." He knew she done great but one bird wasn't going to be enough to feed them both.

Annabeth smiled and said softly " OK Quinn.. do you spot anything else I can shoot? Perhaps if we both keep eye we can find enough catch to last us two days and I can preserve them... My brother met a native once and they taught him and he of course showed us.."

Quinn shook his head and said "not yet we will stay here awhile longer then move because the animals that were around us may have smelled the blood from the bird you shot." He continued to scan the area on which they were hunting.

Anabeth smiled following his lead and nodded just excited that a man was actually allowing her to do this. " I will follow your lead Quinn you know far more about this than I "she said with a chuckle willing to learn from him

Quinn just looked around trying to find signs of life coming back into the area. He didn't know if she had scared anything off from the area or if it was a just a dead area. He was happy to take Anabeth with him hunting though because the women of the his clan would go hunting until they were married or heavy with child.

Anabeth looked around for any sounds of animals and noticed some movement in some bushes. "Quinn.. might that be something? "She asked softly as not to scare whatever it was away.

Quinn waited a bit before saying "yeah it's something alright but I cannot tell what exactly and that is a problem." He didn't know how far out the bandits patroled their areas so waiting wasn't a great idea but moving wasn't either because they could scare of their food.

Anabeth was unsure of what the rustling was as well and she stayed alert just in case a bandit had moved up here " Do you think we should go seek what it is?" She whisphered gripping the bows and arrows he'd given just in case she needed to shoot.

"No because if that is a bandit we could scare him and make him alert the rest to where we are." Quinn whispered to Anabeth. He wanted to wait what ever it is out so that they wouldn't be caught by the enemy.

Anabeth nodded staying still and silent wanting to see what they were up against. She heard more rustling then saw a wild deer stumbling out and looked at him letting him wanting him to make the kill.

Quinn looked over at Anabeth and seen that she wanted him to take the shot but he looked over at her shaking his head. He pointed at her telling her that he wanted her to take the shot.

Anabeth pouted and looked at him saying "I'm scared what if I miss and scare it? That could cost us food for a few days"she said

Quinn looked at her and said "you just got done hitting a bird I think you can hit this deer my lovely." He put his hand under her chin and pulls her face up so that she could see he trusted her.

Anabeth gave him a smile and nodded and said " Ok Quinn I will do it " she said softly then got into her Position and shot at the deer.

Quinn sat there while she got into position. He put his hand in q place that didn't distract her but he hoped calmed Anabeth down. "Just remember hit behind the shoulder of the deer." He whispered to her giving her last minute advice.

Anabeth relaxed as he encouraged her to shoot giving her tips and she focused hitting the deer clean through the shoulder. She hopped happily and turned kissing him in her excitement. " We should umm.. We should check out the kill" she said and blushed.
