I was in a long term relationship also. I was married to him for almost 16 years. When I said nothing unless he told me to, that's exactly what I meant. I did what I was told and nothing more always. what if you personally want to try something that was not verbally acknowleged? I love having the creative ablility to try what ever I want- but then I am in a long term relationship and have nothing to fear from my lover.
Then I had to wonder if I truly act on my own, of if I am given nonverbal confirmation that what I want to try is ok.

I've been divorced for just over 5 years and I still remember every lesson he taught me. He was a forceful teacher.
I bless the day he threw me out every day. I just feel sorry for the one he's teaching now.
We all respond to suttle cues even when we don't realize it. A moan or a twitch at a touch. When your with someone then you both do it.
