There are lots of possibilities here. I just like the freeing feeling of being naked, and in particular outdoors. Thus the attraction of clothing-optional beaches. However, I've never seen anyone having sex there. I've had a fair bit of sex in my yard and pool, and occasionally other places, like public parks and a school playground. Anyone else like this? Is the risk part of it? Where have you done it?

I am also from a rural area, and my outdoor fun would start in summers where Ibwould sneak naked into the woods behind my house in the small hours to enjoy my body in the tall grass and thick trees
 
Outdoor sex can sometimes be a matter of convenience. When I was a college student living in the dorms, I was seeing a girl who lived with her parents. We didn’t have money for hotel rooms, so on hot summer nights we took a blanket to a county park with a grassy area that was desolate at night, and totally dark. We’d take all our clothes off with no concerns about anyone seeing us. Felt good in the warm night air on our nice padded blanket.

And the road leading into the park was visible from a distance, so even if a car did approach, we would have seen the headlights and had plenty of time to cover up. That was never necessary.

That was decades ago. We’re both married with families on different coasts, but still stay in touch on Facebook.
 
My wife says she did it outdoors in the woods after going caving with her lover in college. She and I have done it outside on hotel balconies, boat docks, our patio, and in a tent when camping. We prefer a bed inside with air conditioning or heat.

In general I agree with you about a bed and climate control, for sure. And I've seen pictures of people fucking in the snow. Not my idea of a good time.

Good point, and sounds like a fun situation. I had a similar one some years ago, where I went to see my FWB, but her parents had dropped in unexpectedly. True, there are serious down sides to outdoor sex. Chiggers was another one. And ticks. Insect repellent is not erotic, nor a very good lubricant.
 
I've fucked and been fucked in the woods many times with a friend of mine-it was on publicly managed land, but we always made sure to make sure that we were FAR off trail. I really enjoy being nude outdoors and fucking in the fresh air. It does have to be a certain temp range to be comfortable-I'm not trying to do it when it's too hot or too cold!
