Over-thinkers Anonymous

Sign me up, le sigh...will they be serving cookies and coffee at the meetings? :D

Well, humm, should we have coconut, but maybe people don't like that, maybe almond, but then again allergies!!! Oh hummm....great, i can't stop. And we haven't even hit coffee creamer flavors.

I've got the constant mental dialog too--trouble is that sometimes it spills over and I find myself narrating out loud.
Softly debating between this or that cereal in the grocery store or which loaf of bread seems freshest.
I worry when I find myself ending with "Yeah, OK we'll go with that one."

SIGH

Damn me and that trip to the bathroom, you beat me to the punch...Brilliant minds.

Yours was funnier though. I couldn't be bothered to actually turn it into a joke haha.

This is what you get when you watch Luther at the same time.

Oh, talking to yourself.... Talking to yourself could be a whole OTHER thread :)

Guilty of over-thinking too. I'm doing it so often, I don't realize when I'm doing it anymore. (does that make sense?)

It's a conundrum! Too many choices in life and they all have to be thought about very carefully

I talk to myself all the time; its just so I definitely know someone is listening.

Let me in, let me in.....just dont expect me to be paying attention, I'm busy thinking about other things right now

thinking vs being

What a wonderful and, for me Appropriate, thread!

I'm a gratefully recovering over-thinker. Here are some of my classic signs ...

* Faced with the decision to have a real human experience, I've sometimes chosen to read a book about it instead
* Actually stopped one of my early lovers from kissing me to ask, "what made you decide to kiss me?"

We were thinking that you needed to be watched! We have reports about you!!!

I dont over think but I dont under think.. I am constantly thinking of alternatives and options... I wake up at 4am, and think about omg.. I need to do this today at work or home.. I best not forget it... the other day going into work I thought I brushed up against a dumb ass person jaywalking across a busy street then they stayed walking in the street, I turned into work and never saw them in my rear view mirror.. then I went into OverThink overload. omg.. I hit them, the ambulance is there, the family is going to sue me, I am finanacially ruined... I was a basket case.. finally I snuck around the back corner of the street to see if they were there.. Nope.. they were gone.. Ok.. I am an over thinker.. Good grief..

my children refuse to talk to me in the morning ever since I developed that habit of asking them what they want for dinner..
as they're getting ready for breakfast.

I don't "think" constantly
I "plan" constantly
I just have to "plan" what I'm going to "think" next

I think you meant to post in the Paranoid Schizophrenic's Anonymous thread.

Oh dear! Do we have a thread like that? Should someone start one if we don't have one? Or would it be better not to do so?

I'm thinking and wondering and thinking some more. It looks like I've found my thread. ;)
