Panties and knickers, do they give you the 'ick'?

American. I definitely use "panties." I don't get the ick from "knickers," but it's not a sexy term, to me. It seems faintly comical to me.

Likewise. I use panties without even thinking.

Pants and underpants and underwear and undies to me are comletely unerotic and as for knickers, I find that very English and not at all sexy. Reminds me more of the sort of thing the fat slags would wear. Don't ask me where I came across the Fat Slags. I don't remember but they were from memory an English comic strip in awful taste (and so very English working class humor, I think). LOL

Anyhow, in my mind, the girls below are what I think of when "Knickers" and "Undies" comes up.

In the Valentine's Day story I'm writing - a lesbian piece about two cousins set in the 1990s - the Australian girl Jenny is wearing knickers and the American girl Emily is wearing panties.

I'll usually use panties in narrative.

Is it called Emily in Jenny?

Is this the children's selection? ^^^ Perfect illustration how retailers like to infantalise women - I mean they look like twelve yr olds.
Same, same old..

Fucking disgraceful. All that pandering to the DDLG crowd, why is there nothing for the MDLBs?

Those very cute "Women's Multi-Layer Ruffled Frilly Lace Shorts Pants Knickers" are also sold as "Lolita Bloomers" and now I'm depressed.

I'm not. I'll wear what I want regardless of how merchandisers want to label them. Those ruffles are cushy, dammit.

And somewhere in my husband's files there exists a photo of me in a pair of those ruffled panties with black and white striped stockings, a black corset and a black and white striped off the shoulder top under the corset, while standing in a hotel room window. My husband took it. We were getting ready to go to an event in Boston and were staying overnight at a place near the aquarium. The dress I wore over it was a short red sheath dress with ruffled sleeves that I made myself.

I have a bit of a "harlequin goth porcelain doll" style when I go out to things if I dress up for them. And dressing up usually means I'm going to be sitting down feeling very insecure most of the night, so the cushy ruffly panties make sitting for long periods much easier. Those fuckers are basically tactical gear.
