part 11 of the China Pearl Inn

*cants her head slightly*

I think the tree could use another string of lights, CG. Other than that? It looks perfect and I'll take two fingers of Irish please. I still need to function.
Ok one string of lights and two fingers of Irish Cait.
"Some people will tell you that whiskey is bad;
I think so, too, if there's none to be had."
I quite agree Tio, ;)

"My friends, between today and Christmas, I probably will not be about. So," she raised her glass, "I wish you all a Merry Christmas and here's to all my friends (who are also my co-writers). Thank you for being a part of my life. Have a safe and wonderful holiday."

I raise my glass. "Merry Christmas to you Cait. And may you find your heart's desire under tree come Christmas morn.

Off, then, to the highway and byways and backstreets to offer poor maidens refuge from the cold at the China Pearl Inn.

On a ladder, Jack puts more lights up around the inside of the inn, gets down, and raises a glass.

Best Christmas wishes to everyone.

Just popping in to say Happy New Year everyone! I'm still recovering from the stomach flu, but I'm hoping to be back to writing in the next day or two.

The same to you, Tio. I hope everyone had a good New Year's Day. As for me, I had a lovely day. My health is definitely on the mend and I have a lot of things to catch up on, which included my writing. So now, I'm off to do some more household chores and maybe a little of putting away Christmas decorations. *sighs softly and whispers* I hate that part.

Yes. We put off un-decorating until after Epiphany, and some of our neighbors don't take the holiday down until March.
Glad to hear you're recovering.

Ah. My tree stays up until around then. However, the stockings and other internal decorations get taken down. I seldom do external decorations and most of my neighbors leave those up until we start to thaw out this coming Spring.

Thank you, Tio. It feels wonderful to feel like myself again. For the most part. My stamina needs a little work but I'm getting there. I suppose having a bit of an appetite helps. and that food tastes like itself once more. I was worried I had gotten covid but no, I tested negative for that. A bit of the common cold with that stomach flu was all. I hope this finds you and yours well into the new year.

Bonne Année ä Tous!

May the coming year bring health, happiness, and inspiration to all who enter here.
Bon Tio, tres bon, Bonne Année!
It has been a very busy few weeks for me and has kept me from the Inn and Lit. I thrust you all had a very Merry Christmas, and a great start to 2025.

I found a very sensual and erotic post from Cait that certainly brightened my day.

We have come to the 9th day of the New Year I trust it has been good to all. I have been busy the R W keeping away much of the time. But that will not hamper me from raising a glass and wishing you all the best and happiness in the coming year.

Santé

"Kanpai!"

She raised a glass to everyone as well.

"So far, the new year is treating me well. I pray it stays that way. I hope everyone's new year's celebration was good. Mine was quiet. Just the way I like it."

Cait, I found a nice quite place and had an enjoyable time. ;)
I have been running around getting read to DM a D&D session. You know it is like a computer game but with people instead of computers

I see I have a sensual post Cait. 💋

Yeah, I know about D&D. Dryfter use to DM himself. He eventually stopped doing it. Personally, I never could get into it and I seriously dislike the fact that he tries, when talking to me, to use D&D canon when we engage about something for writing stories. To me, D&D canon is a good reference point to give someone a base on which to base something, like a story but it is not hard fact. We end up going round and round sometimes. I never use D&D canon for any basis of my writing. I just use my imagination. That's what it's there for.

*kicks her soapbox under the table*

May I get a coffee laced with Bailey's please and thank you. :rose:

My favorite classic module is The Lost City. It is well written, and there is plenty to work with, but the reason I fondly look back on that campaign is all the things my friend who DMed and sadly has since passed away for many years (watch your weight, your sugar, and your stress all easier said than done). He added ideas and monsters and changed the whole region the adventure took place in to fit his world, and for the most part, it was a success. I had issues with his Dming style, but then we all had ideas for directing or telling a story. I recently had someone here bail on me on Lit because she didn't see our styles messing. It's unfortunate, but that's how things sometimes go. D&D canon is a starting point for the fun, and if everyone is having fun or likes how you run your world, you're doing it right. If you want to roleplay some villagers who never leave their community, only deal with local threats, and spend plenty of time at the local inn drinking and whoring. You're doing it right if everyone is having fun and you never see a dungeon or a dragon.

Jack pushes his cart around, collecting all the Christmas decorations and lights around the Inn's inside and ensuring the bathrooms return to the sound, hardy white toilet paper now that we're done with the red & green lavatory paper.

After a bit of cleaning up, Jack went to work with the waffle maker and soon had a full plate of sausage and waffles as he turned on the TV in the main room.

She blinked.

"We had holiday toilet paper?

Sure Cait you can get a coffee with Baily's. Two or three fingers?
D&D like many things some love it some hate it. I love the imagination part of it, creating a story and adventure.
Cait can I park my soapbox net to yours?

Make it two. I still have things to do today. *she grinned at CG* Sure thing. There's always room for more.

"It is functional, so I don't expect people to notice that much. I did put scented candles in the bathrooms."
How could you not notice red and green toilet paper?
