part 11 of the China Pearl Inn

;)Quite so Tio.

Smiles at the embrace and kisses and chuckles before sipping my drink.

Do hurry back, I have an urge to write could use my partner back from the realm of the mundane.

Tio! Glad to see you again. I wasn't very active there after we talked, but I should be around more as things settle down more.

CG, I'm beginning to think we need you, a supple body pillow to cuddle these days :p
I have been called many things but this the first time I have been called a cuddly pillow:unsure:.

Guffawlin those I have not been called a cuddly pillow, I am more that willing to take any of the young ladies up to my loft to show her.........my etchings. ;)

I don't know what you are talking about I am just an innocent sailor lad, perhaps a bit long in the tooth.........Tio :devilish: ish :)

Possible Tio but I can neither confirm or deny your speculation as that would be telling. ;)

I set sipping a hot mug of coffee in the silence of the Inn. The sky is a leaden gray and a cold rain beats against the windowpane. The fire on the hearth give a welcome rest bit from the drey day.

G'day to any who may be about and to those that hide in the shadows.

Tio I have only gotten one bite from the thread looking for writers,

Dang it's bloody cold here in the Midwest. I got too use to the last two years. Then BLAM! It not only with about 9" of snow but Arctic Air as well. Thank heavens for our realtor/friend for coming over and teaching me how to program my heating system. *grouses about that* I get it. I do. It saves on gas when heating the house. But dang it. Good thing I have a good learning curve.

Hang in there, CG. Sometimes, when you go fishing, you just have to have patience. I'm sorry it's taking me so long to get back to my writing.

It can get cold, Cait. I did a couple of years in Winnipeg with winters at 50 below. Almost lost an ear one night.

Cait I will be patient. I don't want you freezing But it could have some very pleasing effects. Ummm. :p

Seriously take care Miss, Arctic cold is noting to fool with. Listen to Tio Cait.

I love the way the cold has Cait's nipples straining against her blouse to be free. I blush slightly at my obvious pleasure at this delicious observation.

Glad no but thanks for asking I am new to this and am open to suggestions.

Well it was a cold rainy weekend any idea I may have had about decorations, and health wise, it was not a great idea to be out in the rain. Were abandoned.

I set at a table near to the hearth, a cheery fire. the flames dancing, and bows of evergreens before me. time to fashion a wreath for the front door to welcome all to the Inn and bows to deck the halls with Ivey and holly.

The rain continues and there are roamers of flooding nearby. I am on high grown no mountains nearby. I could and would be happy if it was snow. Snow would lend a festive feeling as the Holidays grow ever nearer. Rain definitely does not have the same effect! ;)

She popped in quietly and set about decorating the Pearl. Festive garland looped from the rafters with a sprig of mistletoe hanging down to catch the denizens that visit. Stockings are hung in front of the fireplace and a Yule tree sits on a corner, decorated with ornaments and lights. A Christmas rug adorns the wooden floor in front of the fireplace. Sprinklings of snow are d\blown across Jack's train/town, even small snowmen and women adorn his place. There are eggnog, coffee and strong spirits to ward off the cold chill from outside. In the background, coming from who knows where, the muted sounds of Christmas music fill the air. With a decisive nod and quick look around, she disappears in the blink of an eye. The need to get back to the real world and everything that awaits her. In the meantime, she is going to write, she promises herself.

I make my way down form my loft to be greeted seasonal decorations that have turned the Inn in to a Christmas and winter wonder land that brings a smile to my face. To the coffee and spirits laid out I add some mulled cider. Even Jack’s railway has been transformed to a winter wonderland.

My smile broadens as I whisper, ”Well done Cait!”

Waking up from a long nap in my hammock, I am surprised by the sudden appearance of snow on my head and the Christmas cheer that permeates the inn. Dusting it off before sitting up and finding my whiskey.

"Hmmm I missed Cait then? Well, guess you are as good of company CG"

Raises my galss to you

I take a glass of Hores Soldier's bourbon and raise a glass with Guffawlin.

"To the season, to friends near and far, and to a very charming and dear friend Cait!"

So what have you been up to of Guffawlin?

"To the season, and the world's rebirth in spring."

Not much, reconnecting to old friends, writing a touch, and adjusting to a new life phase.

A new life phase, sounds challenging.

Connecting with old friends is always good when it brings back memories shared.

"No one is missing me!"

The cheerful voice appeared before her small body landed in Guff's lap. She appeared grinning dressed in an elf costume for the day. Leaning forward she kissed his cheek. Then leaning forward again, she kissed CG's cheek.

"Happy Holidays! I'm slowly getting caught up on my writing. Finally!"

We always miss you Cait when you're not here, your shapely legs dangling from the rafters, and I am sure Guff misses you seated on his lap, and we all miss your sweet temping and teasing kisses on the cheek.

Joyeux Noel! 💋🤝
