PB Lit in a nutshell

No, that’s been the problem with conservatives. They let things go. Not anymore. Stupid Joe didn’t pardon himself and his dementia act could just be a ploy to garner sympathy to avoid prosecution.
Rumor is he just signed a contract with a talent agency. What an idiot!
President Trump is melting down in public, Michelle. I don't care what Joe Biden does with his retirement.

I would expect a smarter comment from likely gov funded professor. Or are you tossing Joe under the bus?
With all do respect, don’t have a Jason Michael McCann related pronoun thread to monitor?
What on Earth are you talking about? My point was simply that the Democrats are not the left. There is a real left in American politics, and it is to the left of the Democrats.

Ok Swifty….. No, the man was asking legit questions.
No, he was spouting right-wing propaganda, and Biden's response was exactly what he deserved.

Unless you slept through the past four years, you know that's horseshit. Who won the 2020 election?

From NIH to Ecoheath Alliance to Wuhan
So you admit you were wrong about USAID?

If they had been working there, as they do in Africa, the epidemic would have been caught sooner, before it became The Pandemic! That's why spending a little bit of money helping your neighbour pays big dividends.

Some people voted for Trump because they were under the (incorrect) impression that there were billions of dollars in wasteful spending that could be cut without hurting anyone. Others simply hate government and wanted him to do exactly what he (or really Musk) is doing. It's pretty clear Humpday Horatio is in the latter camp. This isn't even the first time he's posted that meme.
It doesn't take severe changes to bring about balanced budgets and more efficient government. Look at your Ronald Reagan. He left the USA on the road to endless surpluses, paying down the national debt (what you're supposed to do when you're not at war or in a depression), peace and prosperity!

Then, after George H. W. Bush left office, you started electing these weird baby-boomers . . .

Actually, the 2024 election reminds me of the 1992 election. You threw out an experienced incumbent for a glad-handing fast-talking crooked sack of shit!

I liked you better when you were "Pintler Man." And how come you don't ever use your "Wizzard426" or "WallStreetGuy" accounts anymore?

Is that a joke? Or are you really unaware that Reagan ran up more red ink than all previous presidents combined?

I didn't like Clinton very much, but if you want to talk about balanced budgets, he was the first and only president since the 1960s to have one.

 No. That is not how he left things at all.

The difference is, the latter was a definite improvement.

Elon isn't making a dime off of the actions of DOGE.
Think of the government people investigating Tesla for discrimination and harassment at their factories, or investigating the $billions in electric-vehicle subsidies Tesla is sucking down. Now think of Elon Musk sending out emails ("five bullet points describing what you did last week") to find out which government employees are doing these investigations. If those people are fired as a "cost-cutting" measure, think of how much money that would put in Elon Musk's pocket!

But then, maybe he'll arrange to fire the people who investigate conflict-of-interest also?

That makes no sense at all.

President Clinton can't take any credit for that. It was the Republicans who tamed inflation, cleaned up the budget, set the economy free and ended the cold war so you could all waste the "peace dividend"!

President Clinton enjoyed his teenage pussy and saxophone jamming while the various real-estate, banking and internet bubbles were forming and the 11 September terrorists were taking flight lessons in Florida. He was a veritable Zaphod Beeblebrox, that one!
