Last night, Hastert and the Republicans blocked requests for a full investigation.

Remember how Denny sided with William Jefferson and the others (both rep and dem) that were outraged that a member of Congress had their office searched?

We soon may know the reason.

Rumor has it that apparently two other Republicans are involved in this -- one a Senator and one a Rep and both will be forced to resign. Not saying Denny is one of them -- just that he may have been protecting someone.

When will the criminal investigations begin? These are serious crimes.
The only way to hold public officials accountable is to throw them in prison (real prisons where "things" happen) when they violate the trust and interests of their constituents. Assrape is a pretty strong deterrent.

Ordinarily I wouldn't care about any of this, except that it involves the party that's made hatred of gays one of its primary "get out the vote" cards in recent years. So...

It's too bad a gay man like Foley--and anyone who's paid any attention at all has known for years that he's gay--was unable for political reasons to own up to his orientation publicly.
