Phone sex

I'm just getting a job as a phone sex operator (it's an at home job)...I start orientation tommorrow. For those of you who have had phone sex...I'm not all that experienced, but I want to do a good job.

Does anyone have any suggestions for me in general to make it as pleasant as possible for the people who are calling in? They are paying for the privledge of talking to me, and I want to do a good job. Plus I think it's going to be really fun...I'm really looking forward to it...

I'm sure in training they will explain most everything to you.

One thing you could do, is practice "sexy voices." Sometimes it comes naturally, but sometimes it doesn't. Switching into sexy voice mode could be something to work on.

They don't give you extensive training though...which is why I'm partly looking through stories on Lit to give me ideas and also asking for advice...

Try to just go with the flow. I think the more natural it seems, the better.

I would consider doing an online search for articles about being a phone sex operator. It seems to me that I have seen some (at first I thought that I might have seen some threads here that were started by phone sex operators but a search didn't turn any up) somewhere and you might get some basic pointers from others. Still, bi is right that going with the flow is most likely a very good idea. Also - listen very carefully to what your callers say as they will give you a good idea of what they want to hear. Especially if you ask them.

I start on Friday as well! Where did you get hired pixie? How much training are they giving you? There's another discussion on this forum about phone sex and I put my two cents in there, but have you been to www.psoboards.com? As far as I can tell, there isn't much about this stuff online, but that is the best of it, and the girls there are really nice.
How do you get the job? I went to psoboards and there is a lot of conversation on which are good companies and which to stay away from, so I made my list and started calling. Most of them, you just leave a message in your regular voice with your name and phone number, and if they like your voice, they call you back, fill out some paperwork, and you can start work that day! I think it's going to be the greatest job in the world- I mean, great pay, work from home, get turned on all the time- how sweet is that!!

Not to throw a monkey wrench into the works, but I remember a news story from a few years ago in which a female phone-sex operator sued her employer because she developed a repetitive stress injury in her wrist from fingering herself for hours on end while she was on the job. So be careful out there.
