What type of photography do you take?

I love , love , love slides but they are a bugger to properly digitize. Stoped shooting in B&W long ago once I could use Photoshop. Use a mixture of brands for colour: Kodak or Ilford for people because the usually are more magenta / red ; Fuji for landscapes as they process more green / blue.

I know a master scanner, I could ask him for some tips on properly digitizing slide, if you'd like

Thanks but I own a coolscan, just a personal thing with colours I suppose :D

You know, I've never used Ilford colour film.. they're my goto film for B&W though

There good, remember when they came out with the current 400 film. The amount of people who went mad on the process change LOL

what about hdr? I know its kind of like the cool whip or spray cheez of photography but I love the results I can get with it. I recently picked up photmatix and i quite like the ease of it.

I personally don't use HDR as I'm not a fan of the results unless a lot of work is put into it. I hate sitting in front of the computer editing, honestly. So, whatever I can get right in the camera, I do. I use a variety of split neutral densities and solid nds to get my results.

I've seen lots of good use of HDR mind you. Just not my thing.
