I'm new to Bit Torrent file sharing and managed to get a game but of course its in pieces. 2 cd folders with files numbered 1.001-1.043 with one .sfv file in one folder and files numbered 2.001-2.026 with another .sfv file. What do I do with these? I'm sure if I can manage to put them together I'll have the program but I don't know what to use to do it.

The files don't have a name or extension.

I think they are RAR files. Works like Winzip. You need WinRAR to compile the files again. It's a free program you can download from many sites. Google WinRAR or go to:

I did not do an extensive search but you should be able to find a free version easy. The one we have is a trial version but it works for almost a year already.

I have it and I'll try that. But normally a .Rar file will have an extension won't it? I'll give it a shot. Hope you're right.

Is it a game for PS2?

Sorry, I did not read 'game' before and since we download movies ourselves

But I also just downloaded my first torrent of a PS2 game for my nephew (honestly). He's quite the wiz-kid (only 11) and knows stuff I have not even heard of, haha. He says I can just burn the files onto a DVD and the PS will recognize the pieces and so. Don't know, haven't tried it yet.

But I know from other torrents that are DIVX (I think) (at least not RAR files) that they come in pieces as well, and when they are burned onto a DVD your DVD player recognizes also what it needs to play the movie (and menu and the rest) without a problem.

So.... hop that helps, if not.... I'm lost too.... sorry!

I'm not saying another word.... ;)

Ask Weird Harold! He's Lit's Mr. Computer as far as I know.

it sounds like they are CD images. you probably need to download Alcohol and mount them as virtual CD's.

I've only done that once, lotta trial and error. Its my only guess tho.
