Poetry for killing time

I never said it was his intention, VS...I simply said that's where the word was taking me.

Now just leave me alone.

I feel you just want to criticize me for expressing myself and my reactions. I'm sick of people doing that to me. My experiences are likely very different from yours. I spent my life trying to pull people back in from the seamy side. It takes a toll.

 Who the hell was criticizing.

I merely told you he would never do that. And, you know nothing of me. Get a grip.

Good Night. I didn't ask to know anything of you. You asked me. I'm sorry I answered you. It won't happen again.

When I see your face, the stones start spinning!
You appear; all studying wanders.
I lose my place.

Water turns pearly.
Fire dies down and doesn't destroy.

In your presence I don't want what I thought
I wanted, those three little hanging lamps.

Inside your face the ancient manuscripts
seem like rusty mirrors.

You breathe; new shapes appear,
and the music of a desire as widespread
as Spring begins to move
like a great wagon.
Drive slowly.
Some of us walking alongside
are lame!

The way of love is not
a subtle argument.

The door there
is devastation.

Birds make great sky-circles
of their freedom.
How do they learn it?

They fall, and falling,
they're given wings.

I have phrases and whole pages memorized
but nothing can be told of love.

If anyone asks you
how the perfect satisfaction
of all our sexual wanting
will look, lift your face
and say,

Like this.

When someone mentions the gracefulness
of the nightsky, climb up on the roof
and dance and say,

Like this.

If anyone wants to know what "spirit" is,
or what "God’s fragrance" means,
lean your head toward him or her.
Keep your face there close.

Like this.

When someone quotes the old poetic image
about clouds gradually uncovering the moon,
slowly loosen knot by knot the strings
of your robe.

Like this.

If anyone wonders how Jesus raised the dead,
don’t try to explain the miracle.
Kiss me on the lips.

Like this. Like this.

When someone asks what it means
to "die for love," point
here.

The soul sometimes leaves the body, then returns.
When someone doesn’t believe that,
walk back into my house.

Like this.

When lovers moan,
they’re telling our story.

Like this.

I am a sky where spirits live.
Stare into this deepening blue,
while the breeze says a secret.

Like this.

When someone asks what there is to do,
light the candle in his hand.

Like this.

I can't pretend to grasp the meaning of these words...but they strike me as beautiful in some way...some way that left me somewhere along the line. I need the pictures for this.

I desire the pictures as well.

The muse is working though.

Yep...I'd say you are very right on that! Sometimes it's like "channeling" or something...at least for me. Hey...good night!

Hugs!

Goodnight, Poppy.

No Other Love

No Other Love

No other love can warm my heart now that
I’ve known the comfort of your arms,

No other love, oh the sweet contentment
that I find with you everytime, everytime.

No other lips could want you more, for
I was born to glory in your kiss forever yours,
I was blessed with love to love you til
the stars burn out above you,
til the moon is but a silver shell.

No other love,
let no other love
know the wonder of your spell.

This Kiss!

Another one that I like, found it on the web, did not write it:

This Kiss!

I want this kiss to tell a Lover's story,
of a dream that has lasted so very long.
I want this kiss to connect two lost souls,
as our lips meet, so soft, yet so strong.

I want this kiss to vanish all self inflicted wounds,
to have it's tenderness soothe, comfort, heal.
I want this kiss to keep and seal a promise,
as it makes an old beautiful dream become real!

I want this kiss to show, make you feel the truth,
that we are right to love and care the way we do!
I want this kiss to seduce and thrill your heart,
as you've done mine, all these years I've thought of you.

I want this kiss to take away your hurt,
as you sense my pain, my fear finally go!
I want this kiss to fill you with passion,
as it's love holds, touches and comforts you so.

I want this kiss to be that magical, special one,
that the fabled Princess waits so long to find.
I want this kiss to dwell inside your soul,
so you feel it, every time I'm on your mind!

Your love is the fuel this tired engine runs on.
Stoke the boiler
and hang a wrench on the safety valve.
Pull the throttle wide open on a down hill grade.
If we split a seam, scald me to death with your steam

Flower Shop

Black coffee in a handled bowl,
morning paper still warm from the press,
under the umbrella by the door
waiting for my morning flower show.
Seven fifteen and Venus is stepping off her shell,
shaking off the seafoam and searching for her keys
to unlock the flower shop
and put every petal and blossom to shame.
Goddess of flowers,
they bend and twine to her will
and smell sweeter for her touch.
In her shop,
May I help you she says,
and I am helpless
It is impossible.
to take a flower
from her hand and give it
to another woman.

Thank you, Sir Victor! Wonderful poems! I tried to find the author of the second one, too...no could find....But both are lovely! :rose:

Just wonderful, bronze! Just wonderful! So romantic...!:rose: :)

Like an artist with a blank canvas,
he carefully chooses his words,
each letter chiseled with complete perfection.
Weaving his magic, he lures them in
with brilliant flare and amazing passion.
His prose filled with love and desire,
he captures the soul and brings them alive.
To his yarn your heart will be bound
Oh, this magic man he reels me in!
Carry me off to your fantasy world,
entice me softly with your poetry.
Longing to spend infinity here,
holding on to every last word,
your magic enslaves me to the end. :rose:

Very nice, prettygrl...I know the feeling in some ways. :)
