Polls show Hillary's lead slipping!

At times? LOL

The majority of the time....proof is in the pudding. Ever increasing income/wealth inequality, more laws telling us we can't do, more police to enforce it, more prisons for those who try to improve their lot in life.

Government control over internet service will go the same way as all the others.

No reason to believe "government control" over the internet will end the same way and it's worth remembering that the middle class in America is a historical anomaly. That's not the way it's supposed to be that's the way we made it. Mostly via dumb luck mind you but still.

Other than the high frequency of that type of corruption and a whole lot less of the good guy regulation.

and it's worth remembering that the middle class in America is a historical anomaly.

So? That's not a reason to destroy it.

That's not the way it's supposed to be that's the way we made it. Mostly via dumb luck mind you but still.

I don't think it was dumb luck.

I think it was more free markets that made it possible.

The government back then wasn't in the business of being megacorp's goon squad and regulating entire markets into the pockets of the elites.

You know me, I'm not against environmental protection or public safety regs.

But when the state let's Monsanto use the EPA as a hit squad to take out competition.....

When CA put's the entire cannabis industry under the control of TWO people.....

When liquor licences are limited just because.......

When we are shooting farmers for crop sharing and SWAT teaming lawn boys and lemonade stands....

That's just fuckin' wrong. Flat out point blank evil commie bullshit.

If the lawn boys work truck passes inspection, he has a drivers licence and an insurance policy they need to give him a permit.

If Suzy Q wants to open a bar or club, is zoned properly and has the fire Marshall/health inspector signed off? We need to give her a licence.

No waiting 18-36 months and spending a fortune to get them either, that's fucking bullshit.

IF you think it had a thing to do with free markets your basic knowledge of history is so incredibly lacking that I don't know where to begin your lessons other than "In the beginning, there were the heavens and the earth."

But nobody it talking about destroying it, we're talking about taking a huge step towards preserving what is currently the farthest frontier out there for people to make it big. Until space travel or seasteading becomes a thing we have to keep this train rolling because it is the only train.

Now please explain why you think the the ISPs who already operate without competition due to (mostly logical) geographic monopolies should be able to shut down Netflix in favor of Hulu since that is what you and Gary Johnson are arguing.

And I am arguing that Comcast and Time Warner have to give Netflix and Hulu and equal chance. Not whoever got their first gets priority, not whoever pays the most gets priority. That just like our streets work equally for Vons and Ralphs (and every other retailer) that the internet should remain the same. Because you don't believe that and I don't understand why you want them to run that way. Maybe you have a perfectly good reason and ify ou do maybe we should privitize the streets in the same way.

Well you're a socialist and you think only the elites should be wealthy and the government should remove all other opportunity for upward mobility in the name of equality.

In the USA we call that evil commie shit and think that EVERYONE should have the opportunity to improve their lot in life and if it's not a public safety issue the government needs to stay the fuck out of everyone's way. Quit being so god damn oppressive.

The internet no, but the middle class yes, that's what I was talking about.

And keeping the governments paws off the internet is preserving it.

'Regulating' it into the hands of 5-8 uber conglomerates is destroying it with a capital (D).

Now please explain why you think the the ISPs who already operate without competition due to (mostly logical) geographic monopolies should be able to shut down Netflix in favor of Hulu since that is what you and Gary Johnson are arguing.

It's not geographic it's government, it's the fucking Nazis at the FCC.

And they should favor Hulu because Hulu paid or paid more.

And I am arguing that Comcast and Time Warner have to give Netflix and Hulu and equal chance. Not whoever got their first gets priority, not whoever pays the most gets priority.

What's wrong with whoever pays most gets priority??

That's how it works everywhere else.

That's how it works in state legislatures and Washington D.C.

Why can't it work that way on the web?

That just like our streets work equally for Vons and Ralphs (and every other retailer) that the internet should remain the same. Vons and Ralphs pay property taxes, and their trucks pay heavy highway use taxes.

They pay more they get more.

Why should the internet be different?

It would only be four years. After 4 years of Trump in the Dems could be assured of the next 16 in with a Dem senate too.

Whoever wins, and it could be either one, will probably be regarded as the worst president in history and will be booted after one term. The problem is a lot of damage can be done in that time.

I believe the exact opposite, which is why I'm a socialist. The government should fight to keep as much upward mobility as possible on the table and create more where it can.

This move is not about oppression at all. The only oppression here will be preventing the ISPs from picking and choosing winners and forcing them to allow everybody a fair shot to operate. As you stated below though you think Hulu should be able to pay to shut down Netflix. Fuck competetition, whoever has enough money shuts down the other guy and then finishes counting his piles of money.

Geography already regulated the internet into the hands of a few megacorps. That isn't what we are discussing right now.

You've stated below you have no interest in a free internet. I don't know why you didn't start with that since I figured that out the moment you started this conversation.

It's not geographic it's government, it's the fucking Nazis at the FCC.

It's geographic, but right there you've stated you want the elites to win. So why didn't you lead with that and instead of all this bullshit about competition. If Hulu can pay to shut down it's competition on the net they should be able to.

What's wrong with whoever pays most gets priority??

Because Vons and Ralphs do NOT get more. They pay more but they get the exact same use as everybody else. Can you show me where Wal-Mart has stated that Ralphs trucks cannot travel this stretch of highway or that three Walmart trucks must be allowed to pass for every Ralphs truck, or even that Walmart Trucks get preference so Ralphs trucks can only go if nobody else is there?

I had no idea prisons are where all the entrepreneurs reside. Why the hell isn't Shark Tank broadcasted from some of them?

That's not remotely his point. He's correct that we have too many laws. He's correct that many of our laws are designed specifically to raise the bar of entry into certain professions. How much of that is right or wrong is a matter of personal opinion. I personally want to know that the person who checks me out has medical knowledge above and beyond "my grandma did this twice, once on me and my twin. . .and I'm still here." and I like being reasonably certain my food won' t make me sick. The problem here is that most people are unwilling or unable to point specifically to regulations that work that way and shouldn't exist.

I believe the exact opposite, which is why I'm a socialist.

LOL........and the inequality continues to grow and grow and grow. Mountains of regulation and hundreds of billions spent int policing it all, and you still think just some more regulation will fix it.

Nothing will change your mind, you'll be sticking to it as the poor starve in the streets.

Threaten one of the folks on Shark Tank or any of the uberbazzilionaires. Then wonder why when it rained THIS time and no other, the EPA shows up to shut you down, jail you and fine you 300,000 a day for conducting bidnizz on protected wetlands.

Monsanto does it REGULARLY among many other things.

And OBAMA empowered them to do it MORE with LESS consequences. He made sure they can KNOWINGLY poison you and not be held responsible.

Did you know that? Of course you didn't....you were too busy with your tongue in Clinton's ass.

It's not Hulu paying for better service. IT's Hulu paying for Netflix not to get service.

And I know a guy who owns a truck. He's never mentioned anythigna bout cops randomly pulling him over, but I assume you can show me cites?

Not from everything I've read.

Which all says the ISP want to offer stratified services.

You pay more you get more. Anyone can pay more.

I'm one of them but go ahed and ask your buddy if hey pays more tax to run that truck up and down the roads than he does his privately owned Toyota Camry. I bet he laughs at you or give you the "Yea, you didn't know that?" no shit Sherlock look.

You see all those DOT/CHP weight stations on the highway? Yea gotta pull over...they check your logs, tags, inspect your truck, weigh you and they can even make you pee in a cup. DOT cops do the same thing except they pull you over and scale/inspect you on the side of the road and order you to report to a authorized pee station if they so choose. They do it all day long every day.

If you get caught with a big truck and haven't paid your high dollar big truck taxes to be on the road they fuck you up and shut you down.

I could but I'm not going to go dig around the DMV website to prove a point.

Large commercial trucks pay and are regulated/inspected significantly more, that's a fact. If you don't want to believe it you're free to persist in that ignorance.

Yes he pays a tax, but that's not the same as other people NOT getting to use the roads.

Nor is that pay more to get more. But we're done here.

They don't get to use the roads to haul cargo, commercial or heavy.

Nor is that pay more to get more. But we're done here.

It is pay to get more.

You pay more you get to haul more up and down the road and you can do it for profit.

Something your private vehicle tags do not cover.

We are done because we are simply in two different political categories.

I'm part of the people who want to be left the fuck alone, and you're part of the crowd who wants to fuck with everyone incessantly and no amount of fucking with with others will ever be enough for you.

What's your problem with billionaires. opensecrets.org shows most of them are 100% GOP donors.

I don't have a problem with billionaires.

I have a problem with them using the government to fuck with everyone and keep them from running their own scams.

When CA put's the entire cannabis industry under the control of TWO people.....

Except, you know, it wasn't doing much of anything. It pretty much let the robber barons and big business do whatever it wanted and that led, in part, to the Progressive movement and the desire/need for government regulations. So, way to get your history right.

Well considering the voters of your own state rejected the "big business" pro-pot vote last time and are now doing it right this time. It's a little sad and pathetic (I just perfectly describe you good job me!) that you literally don't even know what's going on in your own state.

Poor bot keeps getting absolutely ruined no wonder he lies and quits. Why don't you prove I'm lying? After all I wasn't the one who claimed to be in the military, owned guns, owned a business, and had a PhD. Why don't you prove something or are you too much of a massive coward like vette, busybody, and all the other stolen valor, right wing glory boys on here?

I'm talking about the last 30 years dumb ass, not 1890.

Do catch up.

I never claimed to have a PHD, you're just a liar.

The rest of that is all true though.

Why don't you prove something

Because I don't have to.

or are you too much of a massive coward like vette, busybody, and all the other stolen valor, right wing glory boys on here?

Prove stolen valor or that I'm even right wing.

LOL you for whatever reason think I'm some teahaddist GOP'er and you have nothing to back that up.

I'm a liberal....a real liberal, not a NeoLib (D) poser who isn't actually liberal at all.

Well considering the voters of your own state rejected the "big business" pro-pot vote last time and are now doing it right this time. It's a little sad and pathetic (I just perfectly describe you good job me!) that you literally don't even know what's going on in your own state.

LOL that law if passed will be under the same regs as the new MMJ regulations that just got passed and then retroactively altered to suck off the 1%. It's putting the entire distribution in the hands of TWO very rich people and the rest of it in the pockets of established dispensary owners. Who are not generally 1%'ers but they are top 5% and they will be 1% with (D) regulation on the way to endow them with that wealth and cockblocks anyone who tries to get in on it.

Almost 40 million people in this state, an estimated 40 Billion dollar industry and Democrats are 'regulating' it into the hands of maybe 250 people, but mostly two. Prime example of NeoLiberal Democrats sucking the 1% off. :D

Do better homework and your fantasies about my asshole might one day come true, but that day isn't today. ;):D

Hey, LobotamyBoy,

there's a big difference between a cable bill for your internet access and having half of your village sent to a concentration camp. Be careful with your Nazi comparisons. By the way, big government created your internet.

There are varying rules from state to state. But generally figure Sept 1 to Sept 9. Three weeks. Won't happen.

Even if it does, the fallout is so severe that the Reps can't survive it.

I called Hillary -10 a month ago, and that's still good. The Dems will take the Senate. The Reps will rally and retake in the midterms when national demographics are less in play.

Long term the Reps are in big trouble, and The Donald is defining them in a very very bad way.
