Tonight we were moving furniture in and moving furniture out and Bailey.. my lovebug.. usually hides when people come in... so it was nothing that he wasnt there... but now.. we cant find him. We dont know if he's hiding, although we cant find him anywhere... or if he got out. He's never been outside before and must be terrified. We've searched the trees, the bushes, our backyard, under our cars, our neighborhood, under every bed, everywhere... and we cant find him...

I know you've looked everywhere, but honestly, when our cat was young we thought he'd gotten out. We searched the whole house, the neighborhood, etc. Hours later, we found him in the bedroom, hiding. I'll hope you have the same good luck.

we'd checked boxes, couches, chairs, crawlspace, closets, under the beds... still not sure where he was hiding..but I went out side and sat on the porch, begging God to let him come home... and I stood up and walked inside and he was peeking his head out of our bedroom. I squealed, which of course scared him again and he hid...

right now, we're so happy to know he was never outside to worry about where he'd been hiding. From the smudge on his forehead, we think that he somehow wedged himself under the dresser. I'd checked behind it, but didnt lift it because there was only 2-3 inches back there..

We have moved over 10 times in the past 20 odd years. At one time we had 3 cats. One of them used to be able to hide in the teeniest places and has always been such a scaredy cat. We have learned to put them in their cat carriers first thing in the morning before the packing starts.

For the moves we've had, yes, they've been in carriers.. this was just Malin and his brother moving a sofa in and a mattress out.. Bailey's a huge scaredy cat... so that's why at first, we didnt notice. I was more worried that Prinnie would get out.


He's milkin it now..all the loves and kisses he's getting now... hehe

One thing tonight settled is that we were debating each of us taking two cats on Saturday, but now, I'm taking all 4..so we can have them all in a carrier and know where they are

Bailey is getting more confident but still cries with panic during the middle of the night (despite the use of nightlights) When we first got here, Fred, Lil Miss, and Bailey all disappeared... I thought.. oh no.. here we go again.. but I found them an hour later all hiding under the tub.. Over the first few days, we jokingly changed Bailey's name to Houdini because of the hiding places he'd find.

Okay, I am feeling very calm about the whole thing, but I still can use all of the positive vibes and prayers I can get right now that the complex does not charge me for the damages that were done to mine and my neighbor's apt because of my washer's malfunction.

In general I'm usually a pretty positive perky person, but I've felt my positive attitude slip into one of more sinicalism. (I'm pretty sure I just butchered another word )

So refocasing and finding that positive perky cheerleader Wenchie again.
