Posting Sluts R Us

As far as music I hate, I'd have to say my latest rant would be all the modern "Greeting-Card" pop country. Nothing but slightly twanged-out easy listening stuffed into a pair of Wranglers.

Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Hank Williams III and Dale Watson have been putting out some AMAZING country albums, but do THEY ever get airplay on the stations here, NOOOOO!

Just more of Faith Hill singing about her bellybutton.

what's wrong with Faith's belly button?

I love how some of those country singers stuff their Wranglers. If the music is too " Hallmark", there's always the "mute" button.

Using the mute button while listening to "Country Radio" How would that work, exactly? :D

I'm talking ear candy here. Internet porn takes care of the eye candy. I suppose I could watch CMT on mute or go to the hick bars more often for the eye candy, but the pool halls give me the same view of the same girls in the same Wranglers, they bend over pool tables instead of line dance to lame music and I can hijack the jukebox for hours!

Now we're talking...think I'll go shoot some pool tonight!

Lately, all the 50s jazz and blues tunes that I've been leaving at my Bohemian Coffee House thread... plus I love Woody Guthrie and other depression era ballads...

Next:

What type of music do you HATE?

I have always hated "disco", hated it in the mid 1970s, hate it today. Headaches...

I also lived in Texas for 22 years, and hate the "cryin' in your beer" country & western music. Too many sorry bast____ that actually live that life down there...

So glad to be back in the Midwest again!

*sigh*

I miss Illinois....and then I remember the winters. I don't miss freezing in the snow, not one little bit.

A post on another board reminded me of this:

What happened with your first love?

Mine? I was there for her, when she needed me most, and protected her at great cost to my...soul, for lack of a better word. I needed her help, after that, and she left me alone.
I guess it's true; you never get over the first love.

Great tunes on it. I hijacked to jukebox for most of the 2 hours we were there. Got a good mix of rockabilly, blues, outlaw country, rock and 80's pop stuff.

Cheap Pitcher night, so the place was packed with hot women from the 21-up crowd. Yay!

Awww, I wasn't picking on you, Princess Amber. I just didn't want you to get the impression that the slut thread had to be a meat market if you didn't want it to be...

Either way, Just keep on bumping this thread to the top.

Not done yet, just not talkative, you see. My avatar will (probably) be something from a Royo painting - perhaps I'll reuse this:

where did you use that b4?

At a small private board - an offshoot (and refuge from, in some ways) the Straightdope Message Board.

I'll have to expand it a bit, o' course; move it up to 150 X 150 (I think that's the size here).

Or maybe I'll just use my face - though that'll scare people away....

*laughing* Scratch that one, then. I do not like to have my picture taken, and it tends to show.

Why no avatar for you?

LOL... That's not me... but I do have the same color hair... and about the same length, just a bit shorter.

I'm a chameleon, I tend to change Av's regularly. What I look like on any given day depends on the mood I'm in. It's not a permanent "image" kind of thing for me.
