I won't read it, but I am far from representative of the audience here. The advice above seems completely spot on to me. Just chiming in to reinforce that. The only thing I might add is that, when you write it, don't write it tentatively or apologetically. Write it like you mean it.

I did write a note in the beginning and I didn't dwell too much in the theme, but still the votes were lower. It might be other aspects of the chapter, but I don't think so. I have published 8 chapters now, and this is the only chapter rated below 4,5. But what can I do? I cannot control my characters ;-)
