Prayers and Love For IslandJoe2

Good on you, Joe! Best of luck in recouperating and getting back up to speed quickly.

The gift of life!

Island Joe, may God bless you richly for your selflessness! May He watch over you, protect you, guide the doctor's minds and hands, instill an over abundance of peace to everyone involved and may He bless the recipient of this gift with a speedy recovery and a very long, blessed life.

Prayers continually being lifted up for your recovery as well. :)

IslandJoe,

We may not know each other but your selfless act proves that you are truly an angel on Earth. You are giving a piece of yourself so that another may live, that another family has more precious time with their loved one.

Organ donation truly is a wonderful gift, whether living or after someone's passing. May God be with you and I wish you and the recipient a speedy recovery.

I saw this today and started praying for him and the person he's helping.

My hope is a successful operation and a smooth quick thorough recovery.

Wow! Respect due, and a speedy and full recovery to you. It's likely to be gruelling but well worth it it terms of giving the recipient a far better chance of life. :rose::rose::rose:

Joe, you have my complete admiration for what you are doing, and all my thoughts and wishes for a successful procedure and swift recovery. Good man!

Firstly, allow me to thank BC for making this thread. Those of us who only know of Joe, would not have known his noble sacrifice.

Whatever blessings are mine to give, I give to you, Joe. I will keep you in the light and send good thoughts your way.

Such a wonderful, selfless act. The world could do with a lot more good hearted people like Joe.

Behind every scar is an untold story of survival.
Today we know a name, JOE.
Thanks for doing what you did;
You are kind beyond belief;
THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU.
:kiss::kiss::kiss::heart:

Well, you don't need my prayers at this point, so I'm just gonna send you my love. I hope you're fast asleep, at home. A day well spent. I'm proud of you, darlin. :rose:

I don't really know IslandJoe, but the more I have seen him on the threads, the more highly I've thought of him. You are a truly compassionate soul, Joe, and your actions mean everything to someone. You are in my prayers during the days to come and I hope for a speedy recuperation for you. :rose:

Did a little lurking to figure out what was going on and just wanted to echo what everyone else has said. You are awesome and I hope everything goes smoothly for you and your recipient.

What can I say.....?

I have to admit, it took me a couple tries to get through this thread. The outpouring of support has been amazing, and I can't give my thanks enough for all of you. I don't have the words to express my gratitude, you have all been so extraordinarily kind and compassionate, I wish I could look all of you in the face and give you an honest and heartfelt thanks....Truly, this has all meant the world to me. I have said it before and I will stand behind it again, there truly are good people with deep and giving hearts here.

I don't want to embarrass anybody in a public forum, but I just wanted to give serious thanks to BlackCashmere. As anybody who knows her is already aware, her compassion and devotion knows no ends, and I can't say enough for her strength and spirit. What an amazing soul, and I count myself fortunate to have her. Thank you:rose:

:D so it went well? How are you feeling?

Yes, it went as planned. I had the best sleep that I have had in as long as I can remember, while I was under. Today, just some general soreness in my hips and lower back, but nothing to complain about. It is certainly nothing like I feared, very manageable. Definitely nothing that should worry someone who may be considering this.

Happy to hear you are well. :)

So thankful to Black Cashmere for letting us know. Glad you have such a sweet friend in your life to help you recuperate. :).
