Prayers for Sir Winston

That is odd. He told me something different when i spoke to him today.
Well anyway...looks like he will be home by tues.

I haven't spoken to him since this morning, so it's very possible things have changed since I last heard.

Glad to hear he's recovering, & if he's that cranky they won't want to keep him in any longer than necessary ;)

One of the nurses at the hospital was kind enough to loan SW a laptop for a few minutes. Their internet was filtered, so he tried getting on Lit with a proxy. He was able to read everyone's messages, but not post, so he sent the post to me.

Yes, a heart attack - probably the worst of the four I've had, but still not (at the moment) life-threatening. Yes, arrhythmia (extra beats) so they're "observing" over the weekend, then catheter Monday sometime to decide what to do. If they do the cath early Monday, and whatever else they decide needs done, then I could be home late afternoon/early evening Monday; otherwise, sometime Tuesday is likely.
Thanks, everyone, for all the warm wishes. I really appreciate your kind thoughts. Will let you know what's going on when and as I can.

I'm extremely late to this thread... but all my best wishes for a speedy recovery to Sir Winston.

What a lovely idea. Mine's here under SWD3.

Hope everything goes well and that you're able to go home soon. Sending positive vibes and hugs.

Your on my mind SW! :rose:

Hope you feelin better and will be back here with us ASAP!! *hugs*

Sir Winston, bad scare, sorry you have been through this. Sounding very positive from what I am able to ascertain towards the end of this thread.

My apologies for not offering my well wishes sooner, had I known via Lit I certainly would have. Wishing you a stable and quick recovery :rose:

Thanks also to Miss KC and Yasashii_Kaze for letting us know how Sir Winston is fairing :rose::rose:

I'm home! The blockages were there, but in smaller vessels - too small to stent or balloon, and not enough of 'em (thank the gods/desses!) to require bypass, so again, they're changing some meds and increasing some others, and for some reason, they actually want me to take them on a regular basis this time around

I'm surprised and touched by all the kind wishes and the candles - that's very neat, and very much appreciated! :rose:s to all of you - knowing that you care and are/were concerned was a definite plus factor in getting me out of the hospital.

Sir W!

You're back! **kissing and hugging and groping** We missed you. Welcome home.

Hey, blue text! WooT! Good to see you, SirW!

You realise that you are now going to have half the women on this board pestering you about taking your meds, right?

Yay, so good to see you back!!!

I've had two friends that had heart attacks. One died and one has surivived quite well. Sadly, the one who died had no idea there was even a problem. Even worse...neither did his doctor.

Strangely enough, both wives were RNs. One knew what to do when the symptoms showed up, and the other was in the dark, just like his doctor.

The friend who survived is doing quite well, these days. He did take his meds like he should and watched what he ate, as he was told to. Today, he is off of his meds and feeling fine. This is several years past, now. Small lifestyle changes and he literally feels like a new person.

Of course, your situation isn't exactly the same. Everybody is unique. But, you should take your meds. He was the same way, at first, but soon got into the swing of things and it all worked out. Like I said, it's been several years, now and he's doing quite well. It just takes time.

Glad that you're home. I'll bet you feel better at home, too. Personally, I hate hospitals. Unless the nurses are hot!

Worse yet, you do NOT want to find yerself at the pearly gates going "But... but... I was just caning this really, REALLY fine behind!"

Oh! Welcome home. Don't scare us like that, again, okay?
