The Prince's fate

In a world where technology in key, the sword still holds sway, guns and bombs never came to be, yet all other things progressed as they should have. The old empire spanned the globe erecting cities of steel and glass, challenge only by the lawless. This is where our story takes place as dark shapes steal away into the night with a precious and valuable cargo.

Woken up, smacked around and tied up it wasn't the greatest I ever had to say the least and all my fight and screaming didn't do a damn thing other than get a damned rag jammed down my throat.

"You sure this is the Prince?"

"Yeah, positive why?"

"Have you met his father?"

"No, he's the king you haven't met him either."

"Thats not what I meant, the Emperor is a beast of a man if you haven't noticed." They weren't subtle enough for my tastes, I never had the stature of my father or even his features, the only things I got from him was the raven hair and icy eyes, beyond that I looked like my mother...something my guardian never failed to remind me of... Where the hell was he now when I needed him the most!

I never got a look at them but I knew they weren't acting alone, they kept eluding to themselves as if they were soldiers in a grand rebellion...fucking rebels...I was kidnapped by fucking rebels. Father would have blood for this I was sure but how long would it take for him to notice my absence, it was the year of the games and I had no love of blood sports so I left for the eastern colonies the White Islands were lovely this time of year and so were the people that lived there. Problem was it could be weeks before word of my disappearance reached him and who knows how far these fools would take me.

Tossed onto a hard floor with the door shut behind me I could hear a last few muffled words "So when's the troop get here to take 'him' off our hands?"

"Dunno but the the guys and gals in the barracks might want this chance to knock the royal family down a few pegs." Oh shit! this is not good.

Two colored eyes looked around the room, news of having capturing the Prince echoing in that single, twisted mind. For a moment, the eyes felt bad for the kid… the Prince. It wasn’t exactly the guy’s fault but that was the price of being a prince—and being in a rebellion. Bringing small pale fingers to soft pink lips, the head whipped around at the noise of the door being opened. The eyes softened, upon seeing a familiar comforting face. The matching cold eyes bore down, madness swirling in those depths. “—wants you to go watch ‘him’,” a deep baritone voice sounded. He didn’t add anything else, just watched the same colored eyes. He looked nearly identical, minus the muscles and the menacing way his body was held. The brown and blue eye just started into the petite eyes.

“Alright, Seven, I’ll just change,” the pink lips voice, a voice gentle voice sounding. Standing up from the old creaking chair, the figure wasn’t very tall. Probably the smallest member in the hideout, it was simple math that the smallest would first be used to test out the Prince. Or rather, this particular one was brutal and ruthless when extract information. The innocent face masked a demon lying underneath. Almost a perfect way to find out what the Prince knew and how much he was worth to his beast of a father. The male was much more obvious as he hated wasting time. For Seven, he liked things done quickly, cleaning and thoroughly. After a few moments, he left the small one alone, deciding he wasn’t needed anymore.

Shrugging off the day’s clothes, small hands grabbed for some clean clothes that had been laid out the night before. There were two sets. The one that went on first was a unique suit. While not made of leather or any commonly known material, it easily formed to the body, allowing movements that would otherwise be hindered (much like a bodysuit). The second set was plain and simple. A white loose top went on, loosely fitting along with pant with slight blood stains at the ends of them. All in all, it was to look innocent. To appear something safer than… well, this group. A lot of people were hotheads. It was no wonder she was selected to watch over him the first time around.

Grabbing a simple bag close to her, she ignored the metal noises, the clinging and clanging of blades and chains. Opening the door, the once soft buzz of talk, disappeared as she walked down the hall. No one moved or spoke, almost as if afraid of the figure. If there was a crowd in the way, they parted allowing the white clothed rebel member passage toward the Prince. No one messed with the little one. And even if she wasn’t scary, there was Seven, her brother, to deal with. No liked getting Seven mad.

"You sure this is the Prince?"

"Yeah, positive why?"

"Have you met his father?"

"No, he's the king you haven't met him either."

"That’s not what I meant; the Emperor is a beast of a man if you haven't noticed."

They quieted when the door opened. “I do hope,” the pink lips moved, “that you haven’t touched the prince.” The voice was soft, but it now danced with the hint of woman. But due to the short stature and the lack of curves that graced most females her age, many assumed that she was a young boy. Not that it mattered though; it made her job easier sometimes. And it was a rather… bloody job.

The smile appeared on the face, giving the appearance of an angel. The two rebels ran out, leaving the prince along. Shrugging the bag off, the pale figure kicked opened the door that hid the prince. She didn’t care if it scared or spooked him. But when her eyes focused in the dark room, she couldn’t believe how exactly he had been treated. Dropping the bag, she bent down to pull the knife out. It wasn’t big, quite small really. But the edges were sharp and strong enough to cut the binds on the young male.

Glaring the male down, she took a few steps and knelt to his level. With the knife at the ready, she pointed it at his face. A quick flick of her wrist, and the blade made contact with his face. Or rather, the bind holding the gag in his mouth. She pulled it out, and sat crisscross in front of him. “Sorry, I’m not a fan of gags,” she tilted her head to the side and smile. “And I’m awfully sorry about your kidnapping and all.” She really didn’t feel all that story. She absolutely… there was no word strong enough for the hateful feeling in her gut, for his father. She reached out and touched the top of his head, patting it.

“While you’re here, I’ll try my best to make sure you don’t get too banged up,” she smiled once more and then leaned back. “Oh, call me Antique, by the way.” Antique didn’t look scary or even able to hold a sword. And it was true, she wasn’t good with a sword. She was good at breaking down prisoners and then, quickly destroying any last shred that made them a person. As long as her orders were to make sure the Prince didn’t get to… damaged, he was safe from her… for now.

(OOC:switched to 3rd person seems to work better with this story)

The drop to the cold floor must've knocked him harder than he thought, his brain rattled in his skull as he tried to makes sense of this person his eyes struggled to identify "When did the rebels start recruiting kids?" he muttered, trying in vain to roll onto his back and failing "When I am released you will all face execution for this!" He was venting his frustrations, not because he'd been captured but for the petty and short sighted reason of not being comfortable, and looking like a fool in front of this boy.

Boy...he wasn't different, he'd always look the part of a child or worse what the empire guards tried to mutter behind his back whilst training in the barracks "The prince...HAA! He can barely carry his own armor can't imagine him fighting in the games like his father." "Such a pretty you man...HAHAHAHA!" they all got a big laugh out their taunts, stupid horrid looking oafs suffered for their insults all the same. He had them punished for slander...they weren't 'pretty' after the Inquisitors were through with their work.

Now here he was in the heart of a rebel base or prison or where ever the hell this was seeing this boy with a knife to his face. "Cut me free and I will ensure your amnesty." It was a lie Father would spare no one involved with the rebels.

(O O C: Oh, okay then.)

"When I am released you will all face execution for this!"

Said 'boy' only raised an eyebrow as the prince ran his mouth. She tilted her head to the side, watching with amusement. He was a talker alright and it was good thing she was ignoring the 'kid' comment. She knew she looked like one. "Oh my, the threat of death hanging over my head. Hm, I wonder why it doesn't phase me, Little Prince?" she replied, a wicked smile on her face. Antique really made a point. They were going to die anywhere. Whether it was now, tomorrow or in the future. She touched his forehead with her finger and flicked it lightly.

"You know, for a guy, you're pretty. I can imagine you've never taken part of those fighting games," she said, but it wasn't out of spite. She just stated what she saw. Antique, looked at him with her two colored eyes. "I also know, for a fact, you had those oafs tortured because of said comments. I wonder what you would do now if I said something worse?" Sometimes, the best way to find a weakness in a person, was to goad them into becoming angry. When angry, one didn't think all that clearly.

"Cut me free and I will ensure your amnesty," he order her.

Only an eyebrow was raised once more. "If that isn't a lie, then I'm your future husband," she said and ruffled his hair, as a brother would to his younger siblings. Antique wondered how long it would take him to realize that she was a girl. Maybe people didn't realize... or they just didn't ask. "But that's alright. Everyone lies when they come into this room and see me." She let out a sad sigh, before stretching her arms out. "They always want to leave." She sounded sadden as she pulled the bag closer to her and pulled out some food.

"Hungry? You must be if you've been jostled around." She held out the food in front of his hand. She smiled once more before leaning in close to his face, to study his eyes. She had no sense of personal space of others. "Don't worry, for know, you're safe with me."

Safe... right.

Serf had no clue how he knew about that incident and he grit his teeth at the mention of the word 'pretty' "...You..you...Insolent little!" Serf wasn't sharp enough to catch what Antique was doing, toying with him like a cat with a ball of yarn.

At the mention of him calling his bluff had him testing the ropes around his wrists, "If that isn't a lie, then I'm your future husband." His eyes went wide, trying to squirm away from Antique, and what kind of name was that for a boy...

"Hu-husband! You sick little bastard, you touch me and I'll have you lashed in public." Serf had completely missed the threat that came afterward, and refused the food "I wouldn't eat that rubbish." It was disgusting by the look of it, peasant food, "and I wouldn't consider being at the end of a knife 'safe' even one held by a child!"

"Hu-husband! You sick little bastard, you touch me and I'll have you lashed in public!" And so because he had forbidden it, Antique poked him on the nose with her finger. A kid smile came on her face and she giggled, still offering the food.

"Well, it's be real hard wouldn't it?" she stated, stretching her arms out. "I'd first have to grow a couple of parts. And let me tell you, I'm not too keen on that. Besides, the lashing would be pretty hard with you all tied up."

"I wouldn't eat that rubbish."

"Hey, it's the only thing we got!" she replied, shrugging her shoulders. "Either you eat this, or you starve. Who knows when reinforcements will arrive. It will take at least a week for people to even notice you missing, let along notifying your father- if he even cares for you." Another goad. "Maybe he wouldn't mind leaving you here with us. After all, you're very pretty. And there aren't that much women around."

Now, Antique didn't mean what was said. She was actually talking about the cooking and cleaning and pretty faces. She was NOT talking about sex. The truth of the matter was, the girl was totally clueless of it. Not because she was innocently stupid, but because the idea had never appealed to her. And only her brother was willing to explain what it was. (Rather... strangely.)

"...and I wouldn't consider being at the end of a knife 'safe' even one held by a child!"

Antique took a deep breath, calming herself. Was he really that dense. She just said that he was safe from her. Deciding to nip things in the bud, she put down her knife, grabbed the collar of his shift and forced his face to look at her. "Listen to me, you spoiled brat," she calmly spoke, an angelic look on her face. "You be may at the end of MY knife, but I have yet harm you. The others are not as restrained as I am." She then pushed him back before, reaching for his leg and checking the tightness of the chains.

"As for being a child, you're hardly older than me," she stated, a smirk playing on her face. Before she patted the top of his head again. Antique watched him with curious eyes. Her mood easily changing. She wanted more information. And she'd goad him till he got a heart attack! "So tell me, what have you got against being a wife anyway? From what I heard, it's pretty fun. Then again, I don't wanna be a wife... or a husband. No siree." Never mentioning what gender she was? That hopefully, would shake him up a bit and allow her to get a better feel for his personality. It would be very sad if he broke so easily.

Serf looked him...no her up and down "W-why would a girl dress as such?!" Shaking his head trying to make sense of what he saw in front of him, and she was consistently aggravating him. And the threat of Starvation didn't really sink in, him seeing it as a way to rebel...like it would do any good, still kind of a childish way to pick his battles, by slapping the food out of 'her' hands.

"Probably drugged anyway." He pouted, realizing how stupid that sounded, then the pretty comment again riled him up "never, not one of you will-" Half through his sentence had had him throttled and up close.

"Listen to me, you spoiled brat, You be may at the end of MY knife, but I have yet harm you. The others are not as restrained as I am." He was at a loss now shying away from her hard gaze, refusing to apologize he felt like he always did when his father scolded him.

"As for being a child, you're hardly older than me," impossible he rolled his eyes "So tell me, what have you got against being a wife anyway? From what I heard, it's pretty fun. Then again, I don't wanna be a wife... or a husband. No siree." Now he was lost again let his head hit the floor as if she...he whatever its words would start making sense.

"I'm not..you're...What does it matter to you?!" Serf was homophobic, not for reasons of hatred, his looks had caused him a traumatic incident with one of his personal gaurds, who was executed merely for the attempt, and word of it was 'never' not even to the Emperor knew but Serf's mother did.

"What does it matter to you?" he told her.

Antique just shrugged and continued to watch him. She pulled her knees to her chest, watching him with cool eyes. "It doesn't matter to me," she said. It was all to get into his mind. No, it was not the knives around he should about. "You know what's interesting about people? They think a sharp object is powerful and dangerous. Granted, put it in the right or stupid hands, and it can get deadly. But I found... there's something even scarier out there."

She didn't continue on with that conversation. The boy seemed smart. A hot head though. Reaching into her sack again, she pulled out another piece of bread. "I promise, it's not drugged. I know how unpleasant it is." She wasn't lying. A few times she ate drugged food. Granted, she sacrificed her stomach so that the leader of the cause could still live. Antique generally always at first, acted kind and understanding to her vic- ... prisoners. She made sure they didn't view her as a threat and planted thoughts in their head that she was on their side.

The betrayal in their eyes always made her smile. But it had never been that fulfilling. Being good at what she did marked her among her comrades. They wouldn't go anywhere close, they never started a conversation with her. Most of the time, she ate here or in her room. So, for her to actually get Serf to eat would make her feel glad.

"You should relax. No one is going to get in here while I'm here," she stated as she took a bite of another piece of bread. "So, anyway, what do you like to eat? What size are you? Your clothes look horrible, no doubt it was Zero and Alan's work. Oh, that's not their real names, so don't think about memorizing them," she stated. Antique was actually her name, but as it was so... out there, most thought it was just a codename. She didn't mind.

Scarier, yeah...she had a point, there were worse things in the world but he wasn't going to let this person make him back-peddle. His wrists still bound together he reached for the bread and reluctantly took it "Fine, I'll take you at your word...but don't think you can trick me,." Trying to recover from the small defeat, he 'was' hungry he hadn't eaten anything since he was ripped through the back door of the restaurant and all he had there was an appetizer, baked clams.

"You should relax. No one is going to get in here while I'm here."

"Hah! Relax...have you seen me? Do you know where we are?! RELAX!!...Untie me and call room service then MAYBE I'll relax." He stopped himself for going overboard this time though he may already have, he was known for his tantrums, most of the royal staff tried to avoid him if possible but it wasn't always possible.

"So, anyway, what do you like to eat? What size are you? Your clothes look horrible, no doubt it was Zero and Alan's work. Oh, that's not their real names, so don't think about memorizing them." He thought nothing of her questions thinking them harmless as he chewed on the bread provided.

"Eat...something a far sight fresher than this, sea food, tropical fruit anything sweet," he was in heaven thinking about it "Size...ask the royal tailor I don't know and your goons stole my suit, and gave me these pathetic rags... and on a final point I could care less about your 'names' my father wont either, if I'm alive or not." It was true, he was never the favorite son but he waas the 'only' son as the Emperor pointed out time and time again, but he'd kill all these people just to prove a point, saving Serf would be a bonus and it'd look good on the news.

"Hah! Relax...have you seen me? Do you know where we are?! RELAX!!...Untie me and call room service then MAYBE I'll relax."

"You are currently in a rebel hideout x miles away from your home. If I untie you, you'll run away," she said calmly. "Besides, I rather not. I'd get into mucho trouble and I don't want to get locked up again." She giggled again, just watching him in general.

"Eat...something a far sight fresher than this, sea food, tropical fruit anything sweet," he looked as though he was in heaven thinking about it. Antique barely contained an annoyed sigh. Royals were so bothersome. The last on in her care only broke after three hours. It was an utter disappointment. "Size...ask the royal tailor I don't know and your goons stole my suit, and gave me these pathetic rags"

Taking another bite of bread, she started to plan. She'd ask the ones who took him, the size, then getting him things too small and then too big. With his food, she'd get someone to minic the look and make it taste horrible. But if he was a good boy, she's give him the real things.

"...and on a final point I could care less about your 'names' my father wont either, if I'm alive or not."

Antique blinked, refocusing on him. "Oh, but you see, no doubt he wants to know who the rebels are. Don't worry, I don't intend to kill you," she smiled softly at him. "As the only son of the King, he'd no doubt want to hide the fact his son was kidnapped. Let's just say... we made it quite obvious."

Oh yes, over the TV, they had hacked into all the stations and announced their intentions to the public. What was said, she didn't know. But she hoped her orders would be released and she would be able to do her job. "Don't worry Serf, if your father won't care if you die, at least I would a little." Hey, how many times would you be able to totally scare a prince?

"Didn't think so...so you wont be seeing me relax." He finally managed to roll onto his back and finish his bread. The prospect of running would be nice but those assholes were a touch too good with the ropes.

"Beyond, pissing my father off, what's the point of Kidnapping me? Putting an end to the family line?" Which was a ridicules to start with Father was always trying to replace him anyway. "Rebels, peasants... not the brightest people in the world I'm thinking." He very cavalier about insulting them, not like their opinions or right were his concern.

Little did he know what was on the news, a simple siloutte broadcast across the world "People of the Empire, how safe can you feel when your very own Emperor can't even protect his family." A simple message sowing discord among the people, and that in itself was more valuable than any army the Emperor commanded. The Prince would prove invaluable for this, be it just humiliating the royal family or turning him against them completely...but for now they were content at using him as bait, leading the Empire's forces around on wild goose chases, and a source of information if he knew anything that was of use. Kreagan, the rebel commander had sent his orders.

Meanwhile back at base.

"You're good at lying, nobody would miss me...except for me." He liked living he was personally attached to waking up in the morning.

"Beyond, pissing my father off, what's the point of Kidnapping me? Putting an end to the family line?" She shook her head.

"It's not about pissing your father, Serf. It has nothing to do with you," she said softly, lying about the later. They needed him. They needed the Prince. Dead or Alive. It was only by Kreagan's order that he was still alive.

"Rebels, peasants... not the brightest people in the world I'm thinking."

Antique laughed that. "Surely you jest?" she patted his arm. "Oh, you sure are sheltered, kiddo. Tell me, if we are not bright, how on earth did we kidnap you, when you were supposed guarded? How did we whisk you away then? It is not the sort of thing that simple minds can do." She then patted him on the head, like one would a good. "It would not be wise, if you one day became king, to insult your people. A good king listens to his people, a great king acts upon them."

"You're good at lying, nobody would miss me...except for me." The Prince looked, well, the girl didn't know, but for once, she felt... bad. Like the sad sort of bad.

"'course I'm good at lying. But I would miss you," she said, smiling again. "How many times does one get to sit in front of Prince like this?" She pulled out a small piece of pie. It looked as though she wanted to eat it, but instead, held it out toward the boy. "Here, you have it. I'm not hungry anymore."

At that moment, she felt her cellphone vibrate. Picking it up, she flicked it open and read the message.

-Find information, anything useful any means necessary, convert if possible break if necessary-

She looked back at Serf. Her orders were clear. It was time to act upon it. Looking back at the message she let out a sigh. Well, she'd start after he eat that sweet treat.

-Understood. Will you be attending operation or shall I begin it myself? A.Z.-

"I'm sorry," she said to the prince softly. "I just hope you last a long time."

"Nothing to do with me...that's a good line tell it someone that'll swallow your bullshit." Again he spoke his mind, and he just laughed about the 'clever' plan to abduct him "My personal guards are morons, I slipped them at the hotel I can't stand them standing around while I eat its disturbing, guess I'll be regretting that in the future." It was because he didn't trust them or anyone for that matter.

"Me be a King, an Emperor how wonderful, and listening to the people? Does my father? No and he's the most powerful man in the world, makes you think fear goes further than respect, but both have their place, kindness and consideration are waste of time." The wise words his father lectured him with back when he had 'hope' for his son... needless to say it was a long time ago.

"How many times does one get to sit in front of Prince like this?" He couldn't help but smile flattery won him over far better than any attack could.

"As many times as you want actually, how much choice do I really have?...Lets just hope that phone of yours brings good news, and doesn't warn of the Inquisitors approach." They were a small elite army, they were employed to send messages....bloody horrific messages, and to find things people information they weren't subtle.

He stared blankly at the pie for a moment and swallowed hard "and...I'm...supposed to trust...a-a pie...you pull out of a bag." The strangest though crossed his mind 'pleaase god let it be apple' only to try a refocus himself he was doing so well...maybe but it was just his ego, his self importance that made everything he said sound right, to him at least.

-Proceed my presence is not required-

"S-sorry?" He tried to jerk away "WHY?!"

"Me be a King, an Emperor how wonderful, and listening to the people? Does my father? No and he's the most powerful man in the world, makes you think fear goes further than respect, but both have their place, kindness and consideration are waste of time."

She remained silent, looking at the message, then looked up at him. "Your father, is the reason why you're here," she stated softly. She knew what it was like to be afraid. In fact, the funny thing was, it was his father that gave her that fear. "You will not gain real respect with fear. With fear, comes destruction. With fear, comes those who will destroy." She looked at the Prince. "You will soon understand how crippling and powerful fear will be. Not for a king or an emperor. But for someone so small and weak who thinks he is as great as that."

Stepping away, she ignored what he said as she opened the door and stuck out her head. Motioning for a nearby guard to get the objects ready, she left the door open. She picked up partly what he said, "...Lets just hope that phone of yours brings good news, and doesn't warn of the Inquisitors approach."

"Do not worry, it is not good news," she stated ominously as she stood in front of him, attaching another set of chains to him. She then sighed. "It's apple pie. So what it came from my bag? Lots of things came from there." A human hand, part of a bone, some dirtied blades. She chose not to tell them that. Besides it was clean inside.

-Proceed my presence is not required-

She looked over at Serf and roughly made him stand up, her hand gripping tightly to his collar bone. "You said that kindness and consideration are a waste of time? Well then," her soft smile changed into one of wickedness. Almost one of evil. Her eyes changed, flashing with the light of a mad man. "I'll show you how exactly your father uses fear."

A strange table was wheeled it. There were nooks in which the chains could be securely hooked, there was a hole at the center of the able, where the wood seemed to cave in. And strange colors coated the metal. The two rebels who wheeled it in looked nervous. They left as quickly as they came. "I wonder," she spoke again. "I wonder how long you will last. An hour? A day? A week? Let's see what your mind knows."

-Roger that. Will send any valid information. Interrogation commencing.-

Hauled up to his feet, he smiled for the first time in earnest "I was getting tired of your fake smile anyways... I've known how my 'FATHER'," that word dripped with hatred more so when Serf said it than when Antique did "uses fear since I was child, I don't don't think you can hit harder than him though." And he'd also been privy to his father's...personal interogation he'd seen what he did to his enemies. not pretty.

He stared down at the floor like any beaten dog would he wasn't going to resist, he learned u=young that only made it worse, "Should I give you a list or do you have my medical records, you mention'd scars...you can only see my face luckily thats still 'pretty' as most like to put it." The Emperor was a sadist, did the rebels think that part of him stopped when it came to his own flesh and blood. But then again this was probably going to be more creative than his average abuse.

His heart had dropped, he knew how completely screwed he was the moment he saw the table, but it wasn't pain that scared him...it was something else.

Antique closed her eyes for a moment, as she listened to him. "Remember how I said there are things than sharp blades?" she spoke softly. "Try a broken mind." With that she shoved him against the table, quickly latching him in. Her body moved on auto pilot. She knew what she should say, to figure out weak points. She knew how to cause enough pain to get the mind reeling. "I know how your father does things, prince," she spoke once more and pulled out some needles. "You are not the only one who has suffered by his hand." Strange liquids floated in them.

"I told you, didn't I? You were safe with until my orders were given?" she touched his forehead gently. "I will do my best to get what we need. As long as you tell me the truth, you won't have to add more to your body." She didn't put on gloves as she gently moved her hand up and down his arm. She was feeling for a particular nerve.

Finding what she was looking for, she found a marker and put a nice black dot on it. Then retreating under the table, she found acupuncture needles. Perfect. Just was she was looking for. Standing up once more, she leaned over him. "Now, you tell us everything you know. I don't suggest resisting or lying." To make a point, she inserted the needle into the dot, as if she was trying to relieve tension. Only, she continued to press down, not caring if he was in pain or not.

She then moved her hand to cup his cheek, her finger gently and almost motherly. For her, sometimes it was hard to start the wheel going. It took her a few moments to kick into gear. A feeling told her that it was a smart idea to read all the files about him. She knew everything, medically about him. Especially about... that. And she in no way, was against using what she could.

"Come now, make this easy for you. Tell me everything."

"I am broken..." He muttered, as the ropes were traded for chains leaving him defenseless save for a bad set of ragged pants and a torn white shirt there was no protection from her, Serf looked into her eyes as she gathered her needles, and he saw the chemical solutions aside from the acupuncture needles. His mind alive with all of the possibilities until cold steel refocused his thoughts on Anitque again.

He cursed aloud gritting his teeth "What could I tell you? What time dinner was? What my mothers favourite color is?" What kind of information could she want and how could she be sure if he wasn't lying.

Antique stopped and nodded. "I said, tell me everything you know," she replied. Her eyes looked toward on the syringes. She picked up a bright pink color then looked at him and shook her head. "Too strong," she muttered under her breath. Still, she left it on the table. "And do not worry; as long as you fight back, you aren't broken." It was ment to make him feel better, but once she thought about it. Not really. Not what was going happen to him anyway. She took another needle and searched along his arm for another pressure point. "Why don't we start from when you were but a babe, eh?" She was careful when the needles went in. She was accurate and did not, as strange as it was, cause him any more pain than necessary.

"So, why don't we start with the topic of your mother," she said. For now, in stage one, she talked to her vic- uh, prisoners, as if they were sitting across from each other in a coffee house. "There isn't much on her, I'm afraid. Your father might have something to do with that. Still, I want to hear what she was like from you. Why don't we start with her favorite color?" Humming softly, she gently worked and massaged his arm, slowly adding another needle.

Antique could guess that the pain was getting to him. It wasn't anything like a sword into the gut, but... she shook her head. She knew the exact pain he was going through. When perfecting her art, she used herself as a test dummy. Taking her hand, she then moved to the side of his face. “We’ll take a break soon, kiddo,” she said lightly. “There’ll be all the food you like.” Or well, mimics of the food he liked. Cellphones were a wonderful thing. She also made sure there would be able pie. “We aren’t so crude as let our ‘guests’ go hungry. Of course, you do have the right to refuse. Either way, I’m eating.”

"Damaged then." Spoke through discomfort as another needle pierced his flesh, he looked down at Antique, finaly noticing something he was too brash to bother with before as if the pain was peeling away everything his father beat into his mind...he would've called it taught but teaching wasn't quite it. He actually saw 'her' those eyes chuckling in frustration as the pain just continued to build.

"To be tortured by a girl..." He lamented "that's creative."

She started pulling the hole psychotherapy angle, bringing up his mother...The Empress of Roses, the papers called her Father called her his 'Lilly' though Leandra was the entire name "Same color as your left eye actually... she's just another victim of the Empire you shouldn't care..." There was a little secret she told him once, her elder brother was deposed noble, a general, but even this little 'thing' infront of him wouldn't know about that. It'd probably be quite a shock to find out 'who' Serf's uncle was, father buried mother's history for that reason.

"To be tortured by a girl..." he spoke. "That's creative."

"Oh not at all," she preened, smiling a bit. "You'd be how surprised how many women go under the guises of men to torture. Look at Shakespeare's As You Like It." She hummed once more, starting on his leg, careful to avoid the crotch area. She didn't deal with it as it caused too much and really... she didn't have much of a clue about it. Generally, she left it to Seven.

"Same color as your left eye actually... she's just another victim of the Empire, you shouldn't care..."

She tilted her head. 'course she cared. It was his mother. And for some reason, she felt that he was close to her. "No, no, go ahead, I want to hear about your mother," she said, not using the woman's name. Antique really didn't have a mother. Or rather, she couldn't remember a thing about her. She didn't feel at a loss as you can't really miss what you don't remember. "Our leader once mentioned something about having a brother. But he wouldn't let me hear it. He said that it didn't involve me. At the time though, I was dealing with a..." She looked down, winced and shrugged.

"You get it right?"

Returning to his leg, she waited for him to start, putting needles in carefully. "I do hope I'm not causing you too much pain. I wouldn't want you to pass out before the fun begins." In the first process, she would use pain until they passed out. After words, she'd use her colored syringes and inject them into the system. They would cause the person to have delusions. She never knew what they were going to see and a few times they became phsyical.

Antique worked, but paused for a moment as her back acted up for a moment. She had burn scars raging across most of her back. She never had the courage to see what the brand looked like. Not that it would break her, but she rather not know. "Tell me if I push it in too deep, alright Serf?"

"Pardon me for not asking about shakespear." Trying to keep his humor, this felt like the last time he was forced to spar with his father, he didn't hold back stuck him in the thigh with a knife, a lesson so to speak.

"I guess I should be thankful you left me my rags, it'd be kind of cold in here otherwise....Ouch watch it still a little tender there!!" as she stuck him again.

"No, no, go ahead, I want to hear about your mother, Our leader once mentioned something about having a brother. But he wouldn't let me hear it. He said that it didn't involve me." Another stab and he ground his teeth, and clenched his fists.

"...your leader...doesn't have a brother." Antique want him to talk about his mother but in a sense he still was, he smiled at her "You'd be cute if you weren't stabbing me you know, maybe you should start wearing a short skirt might work to your advantage." He couldn't believe he just said that...

"Mom," the pain waas enough for him to ignore sounding all self important "always talked about him, when dad wasn't around to slap into silence...she was more a slave than even the servants," he trailed off "but still the old fuck had a soft spot for her, she hated him, what was uncle's name...its been so long..." He was nearly delirious at this point "how old...was..I, five I think...uncle..unlce Cre..no, Gree....Kreagan!" He barely keep his eyes open sweat pouring down his face, he could feel it flow across his back, his chest all the way to his toes.

He managed to say one more thing "yeah, your boss...asked you to torture his nephew... told you nobody cares." and passed out.

"Pardon me for not asking about shakespear." She only smiled and waved her hand as if saying it didn't matter. "I guess I should be thankful you left me my rags, it'd be kind of cold in here otherwise....Ouch watch it still a little tender there!"

"Oh sorry," she said trying to more careful. "Didn't know that. I already sent for new clothes for you. I rather like to deal with people who are... more clothed, thank you." She gave him another smile, pausing to ruffle his hair. "You are doing so well right now. Not a cry of pain. And no lies. See how easy this is?"

She hummed softly once more, trying to be more careful.

"...your leader...doesn't have a brother."

"I was talking about your mother. Leader said your mother had a brother," she stated. "Then he kicked me out 'cause he said... said... what did he say. Ah bugger." Still she urged him to talk more about his mother. She sounded like a wonderful lady.

Then he smiled. Her face barely turned a soft pink. It was rather a charming smile, she'd admit. But wait no, she had to do what Kreagan said. She promised him. "You'd be cute if you weren't stabbing me you know, maybe you should start wearing a short skirt might work to your advantage." Antique froze, nearly dropping then needle. Her eyes widened slightly as she looked at him. The light blush grew a little darker. Her hands shook a little. Now that she mentioned it...

NO.

Shaking her head, she hid her face for bit. She was not going to think that this... well, he was the prettiest thing that had ever been trapped under her hands...

"I... I..." she literally had no words. Seriously. For once in her life. NO. WORDS. What did one do in this sort of situations. She thought about the animal shows she saw. No.. that didn't seem right. Then about the Soap Operas. No, that didn't look right. She'd ask Kreagan later.

But the pain was starting to take effect. He stopped sounding all... brat like. "Mom always talked about him, when dad wasn't around to slap into silence...she was more a slave than even the servants," he paused. She stopped and moved to ruffle his hair again. It was her way of comforting him. And thanking him.

"I'm sorry, Serf."

"...but still the old fuck had a soft spot for her, she hated him, what was uncle's name...its been so long..." She stopped putting the pins in, deciding just doing an arm and leg today would be enough. He needed to become accustomed to it before she moved on. Taking out the pins would be a bitch though. And for that, she wanted him past out. Ducking under the table again, she brought out a clean white towel. Gently, she wiped the sweat off his face and neck.

"Take your time."

"how old...was..I, five I think...uncle..unlce Cre..no, Gree....Kreagan!"

Antique froze, her eyes wide. There was no way. No way. No way. No absolute way. If that was true... she looked at Serf, her eyes studying everything. No, he wasn't lying. What was the point in lying about that? Besides, he had no idea who their rebel leader was. Frowning, she wondered why he didn't tell her. Antique saw the man as a father figure... someone she could actually trust.

"Hey, Serf, you can go to sleep now, alright? I'll put some morphine in you later so you can sleep well tonight."

Whipping out her cellphone, she decided to lie so he could get his ass over here.

-Kreagan. Breakage complete. Need you for answers. A.Z.-

Let the leader think she broke his newphew. She felt so mad... she was willing to throw him onto her table!

Serf was out like a light.

Kreagan read the message...his dark eyes narrowed as he read the message.

-Kreagan. Breakage complete. Need you for answers. A.Z.-

He called back "Meet me upstairs." His voice cold as always, he was a hard man but still he'd hoped to turn his nephew to his cause, this was as much of a failure even if they'd gotten anything out of him. Antique...was always so effective, maybe too much for Serf to handle.

Leandra would never forgive him.

He sat as his desk and pured a drink trying not to think of the old days, before Emperor Dumah Serengal turned into the monster he is today. Serf was a good kid once upon a time... clever, though too trusting. The Emperor would've robbed the boy of that for sure.

The doors of his office swung open and he downed a good portion of his drink "What happened?" He stared her down "Thought I told you to try an convert him to our side...you went and ruined a perfectly good opportunity," god that sounded cold "could you imagine if we had the Emperor's very own son take up arms...we could have had this war one and seated a new Emperor... less death less discord, what were you thinking?" He waited for her answer, tapping his finger on his glass.

Kreagan was a large man, but handsome unlike many of his build, long red hair pulled behind him and a few lines telling his age, it was obvious Serf got his looks from the mother's side of the family.
