project 2025... brown shirts and black boots

It's ok, a bus station hooker doesn't get paid by the hour.

Your clients won't be cut!

This attempted burn of a post would be sooooooo funny if, ya know, Adrina had ever put herself out there for sexual favors.

I'm sneaking a look at the lingerie late night, a guy sneaks up behind me and asks......"are those for you or your wife?".....I confess to a panty fetish and he commands me to buy them, put them on and meet him out front

Long story short is that he lies and breaks a promise..........

I totally agree with this.

I also know that the D’s have a stated platform to deliver at their convention and that it includes respecting a woman’s right to choose and that Biden has a long and credible list of accomplishments. It’s the bane of the party I have found myself mostly aligned with that they are continually, habitually, maddeningly very poor at delivering this message to those their policy helps the most.

It’s hard for the Democrats’ message to overpower the wealthy and corporations’ (and corporate media’s) ability to put a giant thumb on the scale by price gouging on EVERYTHING and jacking up interest rates while blocking affordable housing efforts and food assistance, etc. and blaming everything on migrants and some nebulous government policies.

The wealthy and corporations (and corporate media) have given "republicans" the inflation / economy / xenophobia / anarchism maegaphone, and the "republicans" are incessantly screaming into it, while the Democrats are talking about creating jobs, lowering healthcare costs, fighting climate change, finding fair and compassionate solutions to immigration while securing the border, promoting equality, protecting women’s, health, increasing affordable housing, etc, etc, etc.

And many Americans, being who and what they are, won’t even look past the "republicans" and their inflation / economy / anti-immigrant / anarchy megaphone to see the real culprits responsible for much of their suffering related to those issues.

🤬

Sadly, if Trump wins, we will ALL get what the MAGAts who vote for Trump and the intractable idealists who won’t vote for Biden (because he isn’t "perfect") deserve.

🤬

JFC

SAD!!!

You, coati, and I could chat on this all day. 1174 posted a video last week of a YouTuber exclaiming that America needs something to the effect of an informed and aggressive citizenry. I encourage people to talk to folks about the importance to vote. Carry voter registration applications for your state in your car - hand them out to cashiers and gas station attendants, anyone! I was once clueless to voting as well, once. This clip helped changed me but everyone’s touch point is different.

Tighten this shit up!

That had a Glengarry Glen Ross vibe until it took a Fight Club turn

Even Mitch McConnell is on record saying “the more people that vote, the more republicans lose”

Very true, which I appreciated both.

All the conservative boobs know it’s true. Which is why they work so hard to make it difficult to vote. Voting all on one day, voter id, no water for folks standing in lines…

Has Biden given a block busting point by point take down of the content and implications of this Project 25 stuff yet, what with it being so incendiary?

Put out by Australia - so no American trumper media bullshit. It's about an hour, I'll watch it in pieces but the reviews I've seen on it say it's a well done and indepth piece.

The Australian BC is probably the best video news source in the world.

I watched it. Good documentary, including interviews with many staff from Trump’s first administration who oppose him now.

Oh my, panic in the streets.

All of this hysteria makes me wonder if these wannabe "saviors of democracy" have actually read the entire contents of the 2025 project and its supporting documentation?

Have you? Seems to me the highlights and cliff notes paint a pretty good picture of what’s it’s all about

Here's the thing: EVERYONE, pretty much, knows what Project 2025 is, and the gist of what it would turn this country into.

And pretty much everyone, even those who support that agenda, realizes that it would be deeply unpopular with the vast majority of the country. Even most self-identified conservatives.

Now, granted, there are many on this forum who openly admire totalitarian, anti-democratic and despotic regimes, even if they argue otherwise when called out on it. Their posts speak for themselves. We all know who they are. However, these people are not a true cross sectional representation of the general public- which is in part why many of them (again, no names mentioned) use multiple screen aliases.

These people know exactly how unpopular Project 2025 would be if implemented. Even Trump himself knows it- which is why he publicly tries to distance himself from it (which shouldn't be an indicator that he does not, in fact, secretly support it.) But that won't stop them from trying.

Yes, there are some who genuinely would like to see these horrible things come to pass, but it is important to remember two things- one, these are a small minority of citizens, and two- small minority or not, they very easily have the power to make it real- unless people- conservatives, liberals, democrats, and Republicans, wake up and realize what is going on. And vote accordingly to stop it.

You don't know shit.

Project 2025 is a comprehensive list of recommendations that cover virtually every aspect of the administrative branch of the government. The lefts objections to the various recommendations basically distill down to the fact that the ability for unelected, unaccountable, civil service drones to run the government will be severely curtailed.

I am still slogging my way through the various papers and have found some areas that I'd like to give more consideration to or hear/read better explanations.

The knee jerk bullet points the left is putting out are utter bullshit.

Chobs: Hey? You guys! I’m still reading through this here Mein Kampf book. Let’s not throw away the baby with the bathwater, ok? There’s a few suggestions and final solutions to societal problems this Austrian guy has that I think is worth looking into.

Yeah that’s NaziBoobs’ favorite book. He can tell you all the places where project 2025 got its inspiration. @BabyBoomer50s

Just like Good people on both sides eh? You enjoyed that line so much because made you feel good about your feelings and urges to carry a lit torch.

If it is a document that wants any serious consideration, it needs to not have the totalitarian crazy stuff in it… but we know that’s why you like it. Who needs freedom?!?!
