Public Comment Board & responding to comments?

I was wondering if it is possible to respond to comments made about a story you’ve authored. This is in reference to the Public Comment Board. I’m worried about posting something, and rating my own story by accident?

If the message left is anonymous, there is no good way to respond. However, many messages will be linked to a lit account or email, which is a good way to get in touch with someone regarding their comments.

Ok well what if I just want to post an explanation for something, but don’t want to rate my own story? Or maybe a better question is if I’m logged in will I still have to rate my own story? I’m trying to avoid that as it would be cheating racking up one’s own score.

I believe you can post a comment without rating.

Even if you do need to give yourself a rating, at most, they only accept one rating per ip adress, so you'd only be falsely inflating your story by one vote. I wouldn't worry about it if I were you.

(Also, the "comment rating" 0-100% doesn't effect the over all story rating 1-5.)
