I acknowledge the last few posts you've said here, as well as the unanswered insults you've posted against me in the GB thread, but you've honestly given me quite a headache. I understand your feelings come from indignation, but I simply don't have the time to continue to respond to the petty insults you've sent my way in these two threads. Hilarious, that you mock me for not knowing sarcasm when I see it (the evil comment) and then don't recognize it yourselves when I send it right back at'cha.

Any pics I send or allow to send out into cyberspace are ones that I would show my own family. I don't believe in a person doing anything they are not willing to acknowledge, which is why I have no personal qualms about any pic sent into cyberspace, mine or someone else's, being posted on the internet.

Like I said, my own personal morals and _sensibilities_ say that any pic sent into cyberspace or to a stranger should be fair game. Else, don't take it or send it in the first place. That's my own opinion, I understand that YMMV. The only serious issue I see is rule-breaking, but the pic can't be removed without Him. I'll be very happy when it's gone, cause you, my dear, are giving me a migraine with your incessant whining.

What you dont know about her should have kept you from posting what you do know. Is she a native speaker of English? French Girl also makes mistakes, but English is not her native tongue, and so I rarely point them out, because for the most part her English is excellent...much better than my French!

The point here is that a Mod crossed the line and used poor judgement when he posted the picture.

I think there have been some very valid points made on both sides.

Personally I welcome the GB invasion. We tend to hold ourselves to such high standards around here, acting as if we can do no wrong. But when one of our own crosses a line and is called on it by someone from the GB all hell breaks out.

I agree there seems to be a lack of free speech around here anymore. It seems to be rather like my way or the highway. It is too bad. This is not a good thing.

This is an exact recreation of the post (thank you Debbie) that ruffled so many feathers on that other board. Laurel indicated she has no problem with this thread so long as I present her with proof that it does not break the rules, which I have done. Anyone trustworthy that is concerned about my breaking the rules can PM me and I will happily furnish you with the same proof I presented to her. Anyone else will have to take my word as we take the word of all those on the Amateur Pic forum who claim to be or have the permission of the people they post pictures of.

Laurel assured me that my thread could be restored when I showed her said proof, but I haven’t heard from her in a while so I guess we can attach this to the original when this comes back to her attention.

I want to thank Catalina and Francisco for their support in this matter and their dedication to seeing that free speech limitations are not selectively enforced, and are based on principles rather than politics. This would not have been possible without them.

I’m going to leave this up for 24 hours so that all those who missed it can see what all the commotion is about and judge me for themselves. After that I will be removing the picture in question and do my best to put this whole ugly incident behind me.

It is true that I followed the letter of the law, but I was not following the spirit of it and for that I apologize. As a Moderator, and as a Litizen. In the words of one of our most graceful posters, just cause I can fight dirty doesn’t mean I’m not better off being classy.

Classy is a stretch for me, but I’m going to give it a shot.
