Quality/nice/couple Porn?

My GF and me would both like to enjoy the odd porn flick now and then.
So, a few days ago, I went to a sex-shop on a quest to find some nice porn for us.

The sheer amount of different dvds from different publishers is just overwhelming! I had no idea where to start!
What I noticed ist this: a lot of porn seems to be made exclusively for men, featuring women in a very submissive function and a lot of practices that probably turn off the avarege woman (rough anal sex, deep-throating, doing disgusting stuff with semen,...).
Some of you might disagree, but however that may be, neither me nor my GF are into that kind of thing.

Eventually I went for a "better-sex" education-type dvd, but it turned out to be rubbish (as in: much too prude... and the performers weren't very attractive).

So, what I'm looking for is this: quality porn, suitable for couples, neither prude nor too extreme.

Does it exist? Any suggestions to what we both might enjoy?

This is probably a totally unhelpful post, but I'll make it anyway. a few months ago my wife and I did exactlyt he same thing on a lark. The one I found was just what you were looking for, nothing too extreme or hardcore, but beyond what you'd find on late night cinemax. It was the perfect "couples" movie so to speak. It was even labelled as such.

Now I can't remember a title or publisher or anything, sorry. I just thought I'd verify that what you are looking for does exist out there.

Not sure whree you are, but here in Canada we even have sections for "Couples" porn - maybe we just have bettter sex shops, who knows.

That being said - one of these days I sure would like to start my own porn business along those lines. All of the nasty stuff has been done - I'm pretty sure there's a market for some extra-steamy romance - not fluff - but good stuff, real stuff - things you can watch with your partner and be excited and turned on about - not grossed out.

So I'm no help either.

It's hard to say if this will be what you're looking for, but I'll give it a shot. Assuming you still want the hardcore stuff, sometimes it's somewhat of a contradiction to expect thát ánd sweetness at the same time, if you know what I mean.

But we've found there is certainly productions (ahem) that are more stylish and more directed to men ánd women.

Try Suze Randall and Andrew Blake (although the latter is more into lesbian scenes nowadays). Michael Ninn (NINN WORX) is usually good, plus we like the Pornochic series (about 9 or 10 volumes as far as I know) from Marc Dorcel (French).

Me too. They try sometimes is my guess, and then you end up with productions that do a porn version of a regular movie like Pirates of the Caribbean and the likes. Maybe it's for someone else, but it's not for me.

I have seen quite some porn in my life (djeeeeez, I sound like an old woman here) but all I've seen is that there is a difference in quality. In the end what you want to see when you watch porn is people fucking & co, long stories and complicated plots don't seem to mix with that.

The ones I have suggested before are good quality IMHO because much attention has been payed to detail, set- and people dressing and the sex is somewhat more like what most of us experience in the bedroom.... I think.

Having said that.... that's from my perspective and within my range of normality and standards... so there you go...

We went looking for some new stuff a little while ago. We found "A Midsummer Night's Cream", from Adam & Eve production. As you probably can guess, it's an adaptation of Shakespeare. I love it! They use a lot of the actual dialogue, but there's also a lot of naughty stuff. I like it because there's a bit of a story. But yeah, we spent ages looking, it's kinda hard when you don't know exactly what it is you're looking for.

Me and the ex-wife used to try to find the Holy Grail of porn movies and once we actually touched the Goblet so to speak. The movie was called "Illegal in Blue". I thought it was a great movie, not really porn, but had a LOT of sex with action, a plot, decent acting and was a full length movie. I would recommend it highly, but have no links or anything.

That was about the only movie I found that had all those qualities. I sure wish they would make more. Illegal in Blue II would certainly be a cut above Weekend at Bernies II that's for sure!

One of my favorites was distributed by Adam and Eve, produced by Wicked, called "Dream Quest". We like some of the more arty ones by Michael Ninns and Andrew Blake. The Island Fevers were nice scenery, but really grated on my nerves because of a complete lack of any kind of story line and the sex didn't turn me on at all. I generally like anything with Tara Patrick in it, though. Oh, if you like reality type things, check out Playboy's 7 Lives Exposed.
