Thank you soo much Lil it's soo perfect!
Come on

*Putting this on and that on as I sashay towards the cove and the dancers*

Lillie, "stop tempting us with food?!?" As you go about with these gifts here, and then not even having the decency to model the breast jewerly for us, sheesh!

<jk> Those are excellent prizes, luv. You have once again outdone yourself. As the spark of my flint heart has done with the entrees. Cas is a splendid chef. If it weren't for all the hard labor entwined with being a highwayman, I would be a blimp.

Ldy T, an excellent idea. I'll round up the dancers and meeet you all there, in a few.

I have to duck out for awhile...

But I shall be back. Need more Tequila!
In deep voice "I shall return"

Thank you, Swash.. LOL I just love you! *beam*

OK.. more tequila!!! Yeah, CAT!!!

I'm right behind you Lady.. just as soon as I stuff some more of those stuffed grape leaves into my purse. *wink* Yummmm! ;)

Cat, I think we will all be down at the cove, when you return.

Leaving a note on the bar for any others that follow...

Ldy T has led us down to the Cove for bonfire and belly dancers, that Cas has been so sweet to find. The T Party continues down there.

Thanks,
~Swash~

The cripple wakes up and blushes, seeing no-one there.

"Argh... oh, a note."

Reads the note, and then nods.

"So the party is down on the beach. I guess I'll head there."

He stands up and slowly taps his way out, shaking his head

I haven't been back since the last party, and here I am again for the next one. As I walk in, Philip approaches me with a smile.

Well, Philip, we have another celebration about to happen. I guess it is a good thing to have a place for special occasions. This one is a long-awaited milestone for a dear friend. Exosus is about to post to 1000, and we are going to do things up right for him.

I have some people coming with all of the things I need, but what I need for you to do is arrange to have the curtains taken down from the windows in the ballroom. Do you think you could do that for me?

With a smile and a nod, Philip turns to carry out my wishes, and I walk into the ballroom to have a good look around.

As the curtains begin to come down, sunlight pours through the windows. Walking over to one of them, I look out and see storm clouds beginning to gather along the horizon. Looks like we might have a storm tonight. Good thing I had planned for all of the festivities to take place inside. With a small sigh, I throw open the windows, hoping to get as much fresh air as possible in the ballroom before the storm hit.

As I begin to direct one of the men sent here by the temporary services agency to bring the Chaise Loungue from the library to put in a corner, and then bring the couches and chairs from the living room, I am approached by the delivery boy from the local store. He is bringing the chocolate, cream, and liquers, along with an assortment of fresh fruits. Signing the invoice, I smile and ask him to take them into the kitchen. When he returns, I pay him for the supplies, and give him a good tip.

Philip walks to the door and motions to me. As I approach, I see that the store has delivered the mounds and mounds of pillows and cushions I ordered earlier. They are just beautiful, velvet and satin, in just about every color you can think of, and dozens of shades of each. Smiling, I ask that they pile them at the end of the room, near the chaise and the chairs.

After the pillows and cushions get scattered a bit, another delivery arrives. Bolts and bolts of brocade, satikn, and velvet are brought in so that they can be draped along the walls and over the tables. Oh, the sight of those wonderful fabrics covering the walls gives such a cozy, warm feel to the room....

Turning, I ask Philip if the black lace curtains have arrived. As he shakes his head, I head to my office to make a call or two, wondering if they are going to arrive in time.

coming in...

*Grinning*

"Hi sweetie..."

Catching Cas up in my arms for a hug and a kiss...

"Looks like there is a real storm brewing out there... think it will hold off?"

Faith, love! So glad to see you.

*looking out the window, seeing that the clouds are looming more darkly than before*

You know, it would make sense for Exosus to have a storm on his big night. *laugh*

*wink*

"For the Dark Knight...we should expect nothing less... I take it Phillip has everything in hand... what would you like me to do...?*grin*

The black lace curtains finally arrive, and as they are being placed over the windows, the wind outside begins to blow more strongly, causing the lace on the windows to billow out, and blowing the cloth draping the walls so that it shimmers and waves. The colors seem to play with each other, amethyst toying with saphire and topaz flirting with ruby....

To start with, I think we had better get the windows closed. I don't think that storm is going to stay away much longer. *laugh*

*the distant sound of thunder rumbles along my nerve endings*

i shiver slightly at the darkening sky...going to the window, i start to pull it shut ...for just a moment i breath in the air and let the wildness of the approaching storm fill my soul...gentling myself, i close the window and lock it..

"how about a drink... i think we need to drink a toast to the Queen Anne"

If we are going to toast the Queen Anne, we need to do it with champagne. *smiles*

*I turn to Philip and ask him to bring two glasses of champagne for us, as well as glasses and a bottle or two in case we have other visitors show up looking for shelter from the storm.*

*thanking Phillip*

I take one of the fluted glasses...and hand it to Cas...taking the other... i smile softly...

"To the Queen Anne... may she shine tonight..."

Clinking my glass to Cas', i take a sip

*Smiling to Faith and raising my flute*

To the Queen Anne, a place meant for celebrations and happiness.

Sipping my champagne, I look around the room, wondering where to put the candles, and remember the short columns that are in the storage room off the kitchen. I send Philip and some helpeers to search them out, and wander down to the piano at the other end of the room, running my fingers along the gleaming black surface of the concert grande piano.

Standing in the doorway, Philip clears his throat and announces that the people have come to deliver the, um, fountain for the party. My eyes light up, and I tell him to have them bring it in and place it on the table next to the french doors leading to the garden outside. I then tell him to go downstairs and bring up the case of burgundy I had delivered earlier today.
