watching Cas as she walks around the room, i see the fluid grace of her movements... her hand absently touches this and that....for just a moment the lights flicker...

"Love, the candle are a good idea... we may need them for more than decoration tonight"

I watch as she sets up the fountain....

coming to my feet...

"well love...time to get ready....meet you back here tonight..."

You know, Faith, I think you might be right. I will make sure that there are enough of them for any emergancy, not far away. *smiles* I will see you a little later, I think I am going to head off and get a bit of rest myself before the festivities tonight.

coming down the stairs, my only clothing is a man's long black silk shirt..my hair flies free...covering my neck....my feet are bare, the wood of the floors cool against my skin...the power of the storm has intensified... Lightening crashs as thunder rolls... All the power of nature is being unleashed...

 

[Ysandre]

Greeted at the door from philip smiling in friendship. Looking around the gorgeous lounges and various pillows, candles getting lit slowly and wind blowing the trees. Seeing no one here yet, wondering if I'm early or late. Taking some strawberries and sitting down on one of the lounges by a window.. waiting quietly for other guests to arrive.

walking to where she sits...i hand her a glass of bubbly

*steps in and looks around, smiling*

"Very nice... very nice indeed."

Smiling warmly and taking the glass. Smiling at you warmly.
Of course You may join me. I'm just waiting for Exosus to come in. I was hoping I wouldn't be the only one after Cas went to all this trouble.

Thank you. I wasn't told when it begins, only that it was happening tonight sometime between now and midnight.
I'm looking forward to it, because I haven't seen him in a long time.
I hope he is doing all right.

I grumble my way past Phillip, who can not help but reveal a restrained laugh at my rainsoaked form dripping intot he hall. The length of my long blonde hair is wind whipped and streaked with rain, letting it fall in wet blonde tnetacles about my shoulders. The black silk of my poet's blouse clinging tight to my broad shoulders.

Phillip seeing my distress hands me a glass with that soul warming mixture of scotch and vermouthe...

"Thank you Phillip," I say as grasciously as posible though it goes hardly noticed with the aproaching crash of thunder just as sheets of rain clatter on the windows, the brilliant white-blue blinding flash of lightening explodes and vanishes just as I enter the ballroom.

Raising my glass in a wave, "Ysandre, Faith, how are tow of my favorite lasses tongiht?" I ask as I step in noddign to a new face in the splenidly decorated room. "I think Cas has set us all up for some darkly enchanting evening, don't you?"

 

[Ysandre]

Smiles warmly to Swash. Stands to give the wet rogue a hug.
It's good to see you. I'm glad you could be here.
Smiles softly to Shattenjager
I guess I've just been informed the guest of honor is already here.
I'm sorry I sounded so stupid. I guess I've been away from the games people play too long.
Smiles softly Are you just going to change to Ex when the party starts? Or are you saving posts?

*laughs delightedly*

"I am saving posts, dear Ysa... I have so few left, but I will change my appearance soon after the party begins."

Tossing back the rob and setting the glass aside, "Well, Faith, I would love to warm up, any suggestions?" I ask with a roguish grin.

"Maybe Phillip can rustle us up a few drift wood logs for the hearth, I think a small glowing fire set within the jaws of the intricately handcarved mahogony mantle would please Cas."

*Rushing in from the general direction of the kitchen with a line of helpers behind me, I hear a crash of thunder in the distance. *

Hello all, just got here, haven't had a chance to see all who are here. *looking around expectantly*

*The helpers are carrying pots of chocolate fondue and platters with various fresh fruits ready for nibbling.*

*Suddenly there is a bright flash of light followed almost instantly by a huge crash of thunder. Philip, who is filling the wine fountain with the burgundy by the window jumps, and looks at me, slightly startled. I smile reassuringly at him. Then the lights flicker, once, but then glow brightly again.*

Oh, DAMN! Candles! We might need those candles!

*Hurrying out, I gather a box of candles from my desk in the office and hurry back to the ballroom.*
