Question about a new published story

I recently published a story. What happens if I click on the little gear? What are the hearts about. What do the little bars with numbers to the side mean? Is that how many people have read it? Sorry if this is discussed somewhere.

The cogwheel is to turn voting and comments on or off.

The bar is number of views. Essentially, how many people have clicked on your story and opened it.
There's no real indicator for how many people have actually read it, so the graph means anything between someone opening it and reading a handful of lines and then closing it, to reading it to completion.

The heart is number of times users have added it to their list of favourites.

The speech-bubble is number of comments that have been left by users.

And the star is the average vote your story has gotten, and the number after the / is the number of people who have voted.

Another cool feature is what you can do by clicking on your username in the upper right corner of the control bar at the top of this screen. It will open a menu and you can click on signature to add a link to your stories that will appear at the bottom of all your posts here in the forums. We are a curious bunch and a lot of us will follow that link and check out your stories. Good luck.

I found the signature but not sure how to add the link. Obviously you put the information in the link on the signature page but how do I get the link to a list of my stories?

This toolbar is common to the signature. You can use it to hide your link behind text as I did with the specifically named stories in my signature, or you can just paste the link in the text as I did with the link to my library.

That last comment helped me find the author page. I made an adjustment to the signature

There is the link to the story. I will try the signature again later. Thanks for the responses. I have tried everything I can to get it to work. I put the information in and hit save. Not sure what else to do.
